Comments / Trackbacks
I’ll TRY to make this brief:
Comments:
If you choose to remain “Anonymous” (a special name for the weak and stupid), your comment automatically goes into the moderation queue. This means one thing: if I don’t like your comment, it gets shi’itecanned.
Don’t like it? Either give up your shame at your statements and stand by them proudly, or get your own farking blog to write your thoughts. No, I’m not going to harass you at the email address you leave. I’ve got better things to do. Fake emails count as anonymous to me, so if I think you’re an asshole, the time you spent writing your fake-email addressed comment will have been wasted when I shitcan it.
Any one who cries about “censorship” (a ridiculous fallacy only spouted by morons) should go file a complaint with someone who gives a damn, because it IS my bandwidth. “Censorship!” screechers will be banned because I don’t like crybabies or morons.
Also, FYI: The anti-spam code is CASE-SENSITIVE! You might want to copy your comment to the clipboard before you click “submit” in case your comment gets nuked from the spam code being input incorrectly. (Obsolete)
Your comment might get put in moderation if you fat-finger the code by mistake or put “certain” spammy-looking words in the comment. I hate to have had to do this, but even the word “gay” puts it in moderation because of all the spam. Even the word “socialism” will probably do it. PLEASE don’t waste your time complaining about discrimination, though, blame the farking spammers. That said, I’ll usually get your comment out of moderation pretty quickly.
Trackbacks:
I really do love seeing trackbacks and I encourage you to use them–I like to see what you’re writing about and I can’t read EVERY site on my blogroll every day.
That said, if you leave a trackback on my site, there had better be a link to my post in yours. I do not allow “free advertising” (which is what trackbacks really are, in case you didn’t realize it) or free link whoring–call me crazy but I do expect something in return–that being a link back. I’ll delete one-way trackbacks without warning, and “I didn’t know” isn’t really a good excuse. Sometimes, if I’m feeling energetic or generous, I’ll email you or leave a comment at your site to remind you, if you just forgot or whatever. Usually I’m just too lazy though.
If you know how to send a trackback, you should know what they’re for. Many blogs don’t allow them because they get abused–don’t be an abuser!
Harvey (Bad Example) has a good primer on trackbacks, for those of you who aren’t familiar with the practice. Do go read it; trackbacks are a very good way for your blog to be noticed by others.

[...] As always, trackbacks without a link to this post in yours will be deleted! For more information about trackbacks, see Harvey’s primer on the subject (and maybe my bitchy thing about trackbacks, too). [...]
