So it’s official, Rod Blagojevich is the first governor in Illinois history to be impeached and removed from office (by a unanimous vote no less). Blagojevich also shares another dubious distinction, he is the third Democratic governor of a large blue state to leave office in disgrace in the past 5 years. He joins two big city Democratic mayors and a scad of ousted congressmen in a 6 year record of lies, corruption, sex scandals, and impropriety from a party that campaigned against a Republican “culture of corruption” in 2006 and for “change” in 2008. Blagojevich only highlights that for the past 6 years, Democrats have been no better, no different than Republicans in their share of personal scandals. He further highlights that, while pointing out the speck in the eye of Republicans, Democrats have ignored their very own Democratic culture of corruption.
Much was made of Republican financial corruption in 2006 and 2008. It cost us the seats of Tom Delay, Conrad Burns, Ted Stevens and anyone who’d ever used the same comb as Jack Abramoff. Democrats, of course, have been mum on many of their own financial scandals. James Traficant was expelled from the House in 2002 after being convicted of bribery, tax fraud, racketeering, and misuse of House staff on his personal property. He isn’t the only Democrat to do time (or foreseeably will) for similar charges. William Jefferson is facing bribery charges and had the full support of the House Democratic caucus till Louisiana voters got sick of him. Former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick can relate, he was sent to jail for suppressing evidence in a civil trial. The evidence, of course consisted of text messages he’d made on a city phone that contained details of an affair he was having with his chief of staff. While we’re on the subject of corrupt big city mayors, Shiela Dixon of Baltimore is under indictment for misappropriating charity gifts for the poor.
Of course, impropriety is not confined to pure criminality. New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson is not only under investigation for pay to play schemes, but he is also accused of inappropriate business dealings in awarding state contracts to businesses he used to chair. Charles Rangel is under investigation by an ethics committee for receiving gifts in the form of favorable rent arrangements in Harlem. John Conyers of Michigan in 2006 accepted responsibility for misusing his House staff for campaign and personal purposes. Republicans with similar clouds of impropriety were dogged with controversy for months. Nary a peep has been made, except in passing by the media, about the above abuses, and certainly Democratic leadership has been mum on the matter.
There’s always the sex scandals. We heard for months about Larry Craig, Mark Foley, and David Vitter’s improprieties. In contrast, very little was made of Tim Mahoney’s infidelity, even though he had replaced Foley in 2006 over the very same issue. Elliot Spitzer got to resign and have his improprieties concluded and moved on from, even though prostitution is illegal in every polity his dalliances occurred in. Then, of course, everyone gave David Patterson a total pass on his admissions of infidelity. And, of course, we can see the above example of Kwame Kilpatrick. Now, certainly there is some relish in the notion of sticking it to the “family values” Republicans when they err. However, I don’t ever remember the Democratic party declaring itself the party of hookers and adultery. Perhaps they should only receive a pass on this sort of conduct if they’re willing to openly stake out such a position. Even if Democrats don’t purport to be a “family values” party (which they will on the campaign trail if they can cloak it in socialist rhetoric) whoring and infidelity are nothing to be proud of.
Now, I’ve saved the best for last. Sure, it’s popular to beat up on Illinois with it’s Chicago machine, but that’s just too easy. In recent memory the state the Democrats should be most ashamed of is New Jersey. Back in 2002 Senator Bob Torricelli was revealed to have accepted campaign contributions from an imprisoned North Korean businessman. Rather than step aside as his seat was up for election, he clung on till polling showed him a 20 point underdog against the Republican. It was only after he was a guaranteed loss that he decided to step aside and allow the Democrats to throw in a ringer, former Senator Frank Lautenberg. The problem, then, was Torricelli had withdrawn several days after the deadline to legally remove a candidate from the ballot. So, the state Democratic party sued in the Democratically dominated state supreme court to change the rules to allow Lautenberg on. The New Jersey supreme court allowed it, even though that same year a Montana court refused the very same sort of request out of the Republican party. Lautenberg, of course, won, though the whole thing stunk to high heaven. The other big winner in New Jersey that year was Jim McGreevey. McGreevey, of course, would later cheat on his wife. . . with a guy. . . who he then appointed Homeland Security advisor to the governor. No better example exists of the Democratic culture of corruption than New Jersey; we have finance scandals, corruption in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, we have infidelity, and we have cronyism.
There can be little doubt that a hitherto widespread problem of corruption in the Democratic party will continue to go unchecked. The media was far too focused on Republican problems for the past 8 years to pay much attention to the transgressions of the opposition. The real question is now that the Democrats are incontrovertibly in the majority will their scandals finally begin to stick? Only time will tell.
As only XKCD can say it. LOL.
Well, the Enquirer only reported it ten months ago. God forbid the mainstream media actually follow up on the story. It’s not like there weren’t any blogs writing about it — although admittedly, we didn’t write about it here, instead choosing to wait for a more “reliable” (LOL!) source. Lesson learned: the National Enquirer is more reliable than the mainstream media! ABC News finally broke the media silence, but it sure took long enough for them to get around to it. Pfffft.

Oh, I know - John Edwards says Rielle Hunter’s baby isn’t his. LOL. He also said many times in the last ten months that the Enquirer’s story about an affair was not true. We’re supposed to believe him now? And really, it’s not like having an affair (even if there are no children borne of it) is okay. Nice move having that affair when your wife has cancer, too. That’s a really nice touch.
What a miserable piece of shit. Filthy, rotten, amoral piece of shit. Silky Pony is scum. (But we knew that already.)
Curious silence on the former Edwards supporters’ blogs (cough Pandagon cough). Then again, it’s not like I’d expect any better from them. It’s especially rich considering some of those rabid Silky Pony supporters call themselves feminists — it reminds me of all the lefty feminists who defended Slick Willie and his extramarital activities. They’re only called “feminists” because they’re (angry) women, and they’re left-wingers. Phony losers.
Newsbusters is having a field day with the Edwards story - and has a little fun at Edwards’ expense with a caption contest. Father of the Year? LOL.
UPDATE: Banned at the Daily Kos for posting about the story! Is anyone surprised?
This started when Nancy Pelosi decided her vacation was more important than voting on energy policy last week, and it’s exploded since then. Get all the details at the #dontgo movement website.
I guess I should probably just delete my whole blog, because I’ve told a few off-color jokes and said a few things that some might find offensive, and much more recently than 18 years ago. Hopefully stuff I said just this morning to a friend doesn’t cause McCain to have to return my donations!
ABC’s Rick Klein reports: Sen. John McCain on Friday abruptly cancelled a Monday fundraiser that had been scheduled at the home of a Texas oilman, after ABC News contacted the campaign inquiring about a verbal blunder the Texan made during an unsuccessful 1990 campaign for governor.
Clayton Williams stirred controversy during his 1990 campaign for governor of Texas with a botched attempt at humor in which he compared rape to weather. Within earshot of a reporter, Williams said: “As long as it’s inevitable, you might as well lie back and enjoy it.”
[...]
The DNC is calling on the McCain campaign to return money raised by Williams.Statement from DNC communications director Karen Finney:
“Mr. Williams’ comments are not only outrageous and disgusting, they degrade our values as Americans. John McCain should make it clear that he understands just how offensive these comments are by not only canceling a fund-raising event but also returning the money Wlliams raised for his campaign. Senator McCain should know that you cannot expect the American people to trust you if you say one thing when you stand on the stump and turn a blind eye to this kind of language when you think no one will notice.”
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! DNC = FAIL.
I eagerly await the announcement from the DNC that Jon Carry, Joe Biden, Ted Kennedy, etc. etc. ad nauseum, will be withdrawing their support for Obama because of stupid, offensive things they’ve said and/or done in years past. Nevermind the fact they’ve all actually run for President themselves, and I’m sure someone could easily find examples of tasteless “humor” from Obama himself.
Whatever. LOL.
Thanks to Justin Hart (via email), whose reaction was much more respectful than mine, as usual.
Not like we didn’t know it already, but it’s nice to see one of them actually admit it in public. Congressman Paul Kanjorski (D-PA)
“I’ll tell you my impression. We really in this last election, when I say we…the Democrats, I think pushed it as far as we can to the end of the fleet, didn’t say it, but we implied it. That if we won the Congressional elections, we could stop the war. Now anybody was a good student of Government would know that wasn’t true. But you know, the temptation to want to win back the Congress, we sort of stretched the facts…and people ate it up.“
Nothing like selling out American interests and American lives for a few votes. Deny the success of the surge, exaggerate, condemn, argue against the war, attack the troops (I’m lookin’ at you, Murtha), parrot the enemy’s propaganda…for what? Votes. How much damage do they need to do to the war effort, how many American lives do they need to endanger just to get elected or re-elected?
“The ends justify the means” for the Left, good little Trotskyites that they are.
Of course, Kanjorski doesn’t speak for all Democrats. Some of them are deadly serious about dismantling American strength.
Okay, first things first. I didn’t write about Ted Kennedy earlier because 1) I wouldn’t wish a brain tumor on anyone. I’ve seen that kind of thing up close and it’s not a picnic, to put it mildly (absurdly so). Obviously, I hope Ted Kennedy kicks this thing. I’d be more than happy to have him out of the Senate, but I’d rather that happen due to an election loss or retirement - NOT this. This is, in a word, horrible. And 2) I thought I’d find it impossible to write about Ted Kennedy without saying, “Mary Jo Kopechne could not be reached for comment,” but with the brain tumor diagnosis, I won’t say it. Nobody deserves a brain tumor.
So I do pray for a recovery, a miracle, or whatever it takes. Nine years ago, I was given a similar death sentence - as in, three months to live - because of a supposedly-malignant tumor, but the doctors were quite obviously wrong. (Just FYI, it was an oligodendroglioma in the spinal cord, not the brain, and thankfully it turned out to not be malignant/anaplastic.*) In this case, they still need a pathology report, and until then, they won’t know for sure what kind of tumor it is - and the type of glioma matters. I always choose to believe in the best possible outcome, and the Kennedy family fortunately has the means to get the best treatments out there. They aren’t uneducated or uninquisitive people, so they’ll know how to get what he needs. That alone can make all the difference (remember that - knowledge is power, and it can save your life). It won’t be an easy ride for him even if the tumor is benign, but it isn’t necessarily a death sentence. My prayers are with the Kennedys for a fast, firm diagnosis and successful treatment, and for strength to get them through this ordeal. They’ll need it.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t take the opportunity to ask you to support cancer research, too. Cancer sucks.
Now, the lulz:
Oh, shut up, you know it’s funny as hell watching old Sheets Byrd sobbing like a baby.
A word to those dropping in via Google or whatever: I’ve seen the asinine comments at YouTube and you get this one warning - Act like one of those Kos jackanapes cheering on political opponents’ personal tragedies, and you get nuked. I can’t stand Kennedy’s politics either, but this isn’t the time for that crap. I’m not kidding. Needless to say, I expect better behavior from conservatives, and do not expect to have to do any nuking, but the warning stands.
You are, of course, free to pile on Sheets to your heart’s content. ;)
I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get signatures on the Al-Khaiwani letter, so I’m going to just slap up this twitter badge so y’all can follow the breaking news.
Gotta run!
So teh Obamessiah and the DNC have declared his wife off-limits. Interesting. It’s okay to trash Cindy McCain, Laura Bush, the Bush twins, Mary Cheney, etc. etc. etc., but not refer to Michelle Obama’s being proud of her country for the first time in her adult life (and only because people are supporting her husband!). Bad Republicans!!!
How about unconfirmed rumors from notoriously unreliable sources - who are Hillary supporters?
I now have it from
twothreefour sources (three who are close to senior Republicans) that there is video dynamite–Michelle Obama railing against “whitey” at Jeremiah Wright’s church. Republicans may have a lousy record when it comes to the economy and the management of the war in Iraq, but they are hell on wheels when it comes to opposition research.
Like the Clintons aren’t “hell on wheels.” Heh. Blame it on the Republicans, of course - right next to that “Hillary for President” banner (”pony up or perish!”). Get the dirt but say it’s the Republicans who did it. Hillaryous. Hey, superdelegates, the Republicans have dynamite on hand - you’d better pick Hillary! LOL. Could they be more obvious?
Still, it’s interesting - but it is JUST A RUMOR, and it sounds like BS. It wouldn’t shock me if it were true, though, and if it is? You can bet your last dollar that the Clintonistas are behind it. Why else would this rumor get started now?
Consider this from the update post at Johnson’s site:
THIS IS THE STORY. And it is thanks to LARRY JOHNSON that we have a good shot at wresting control from the “happy world” hacks at the DNC and get people with COMMON SENSE to hire the best woman for the job of president.
Convenient, isn’t it?
Sean Hackbarth, Jim Geraghty, Velvet Hammer
Via Tech Republican, The Washington Times has an article today about the McCain campaign inviting more kinds of bloggers, and it’s rather enlightening, seeing the lefty reaction that I saw yesterday is exactly what I thought it’d be.
The strategy was in full swing yesterday when Mr. McCain invited non-conservative bloggers to join his regular blogger conference call, just hours after he delivered a major speech previewing his war strategy and other priorities for a first presidential term.
It already has started a war among liberal bloggers over how to react to Mr. McCain’s overture.
In answering the first question on the call, Mr. McCain said his likely Democratic opponent, Sen. Barack Obama, lacks the judgment to be commander in chief, which set him up for a bruising from the readers at TalkingPointsMemo.com, a liberal-leaning site that joined in the call. [Link here; be sure to read it and the comments - Beth]
Blogger Greg Sargent said it amounted to “what may be [Mr. McCain's] most direct attack yet on Barack Obama’s national security credentials.” But commenters were split: Some took aim at Mr. McCain, some said they were thankful for the intelligence on “what the enemy is planning,” and others lashed out at Mr. Sargent, saying he should have been harsher in evaluating Mr. McCain’s attack.
“This IS a Democratic blog, and as such, it would seem to me that there SHOULD be SOME bias with regards to how YOU report of McCain’s craziness, as opposed to treating his ranting and attacks with a sort of dignity they and he DO NOT deserve,” wrote one emphasis-abundant reader.
Mr. McCain’s campaign said the Web outreach is a logical extension of an attempt to reach voters beyond his base. It also builds on his successful use of conference calls with conservative bloggers during the Republican primary, which blunted many of the harshest criticisms of the senator.
“The plan is to take the work we’ve already built on with conservative bloggers and to open up a dialogue with non-conservative bloggers and even nonpolitical bloggers,” said Patrick Hynes, Mr. McCain’s point man for blog outreach.
“We hope to be the most accessible and transparent campaign in history, to take advantage of what we think is one of the campaign’s strongest assets, which is Senator McCain himself, and frankly to empower voters who are also bloggers to get the answers they need to decide who to vote for.”
And this:
“I don’t think the people at DailyKos are going to treat John McCain mercifully, but I think the fact that people get their question heard makes them dial it back a bit,” said Soren Dayton, a blogger who worked briefly for the McCain campaign and now works at a public affairs company, New Media Strategies.
Oh, how I wish I shared my friend Soren’s optimism on this one. I seriously doubt they’re going to do so. It would certainly be nice, but when have lefty bloggers ever been fair, intellectually honest, or reasonable? These are the people pushing the “100 year war” and “McSame” memes, after all.
I don’t fault the McCain campaign for doing this - I think it says a lot about him and the kind of Presidency he’d have (i.e., far better communication of his agenda than we’ve seen from the Bush administration, at the very least). And really, he’s welcomed detractors (as in, from the right) all along and has taken tough questions from conservatives all along, especially in the earlier blogger calls. I just think the Left is being given more credit than they deserve, based on their rhetoric and behaviour over the last eight years. I’m thinking they’re waiting for a “macaca” incident. They’ll have a long wait, although they’re masters at distortion, and I won’t be surprised when they use these blogger calls regularly against McCain. Just watch.
To Erin Kotecki’s credit (she’s the one who asked the stupid “timetable” question), at least she didn’t respond to the opportunity with the ingratitude and nastiness that some did.
She said she doesn’t expect bloggers to be as nice as some of the traditional media have been in asking him questions, and was thankful for the chance.
“The fact that I could ask my question and have it smacked down is farther than a lot of people could get,” she said.
Not that I expect she’ll change her vote, but at least she didn’t repay the opportunity with bile. What bothers me, though, is that it appears some are merely using this to push the DNC agenda. In fact, right after the blogger call, I emailed rightwingprof saying “who invited the DNC?”–not realizing that the McCain campaign had invited lefty bloggers. It just seemed so obvious that they were pushing DNC talking points–even the “2013 speech = withdrawal timetable” meme had already been pushed out to libs and the media. That said, John McCain answered it forcefully and without any way to honestly distort the meaning of what he’s said. Not that it’s stopped some people from trying, though.
Again: “We hope to be the most accessible and transparent campaign in history, to take advantage of what we think is one of the campaign’s strongest assets, which is Senator McCain himself, and frankly to empower voters who are also bloggers to get the answers they need to decide who to vote for.”
More of this, please - but expect more of the Democrats using his accessibility and transparency - you know, the same things they’ve said Bush doesn’t have - against him in the future. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
I knew it. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. So did Rightwingprof.
I don’t know if Joanne Bamberger and Erin Kotecki-Vest were invited to today’s blogger call or if they lied to try to “infiltrate” a blogger call with a man who is well-known for being open to answering questions from anyone anyway, but I f’n knew two of the questions in today’s McCain blogger call came from Obama supporters. HA! I’d be okay with Democrats calling in with honest questions because McCain wasn’t out of the question for them, but this crap? NO.
Snip:
Let’s Keep ‘Em Poor & Uneducated
This afternoon I participated in a blogger teleconference with John McCain to discuss the statements he made earlier today about how he foresees his first term in office. Because apparently it’s very presidential to pretend that you’ve already won the election before you even officially have the Republican nomination.
First, I have to mention that MOMocrat Joanne Bamberger got a scoop on the call. In response to her questions and several follow up questions, he stated that he will appoint Democrats to his administration. (Assuming he has one. And you know what happens when you assume? You make an ass out of u and me.) After listening to her dogged questioning, I can understand why Joanne is such a great journalist. I bet she was a hell of a lawyer too!
The big news in John McCain’s remarks this morning was, of course, his statement that,
By January 2013, America has welcomed home most of the servicemen and women who have sacrificed terribly so that America might be secure in her freedom…. The Iraq War has been won. Iraq is a functioning democracy, although still suffering from the lingering effects of decades of tyranny and centuries of sectarian tension….
Senator McCain didn’t get to my question (although he did answer questions from MOMocrats Erin Kotecki-Vest and Joanne Bamberger). I couldn’t believe that not one person asked exactly how McCain intends to change the course of the war so dramatically in 5 years. Because, despite McCain’s claims that he’s going to focus on what’s “doable” I’m not seeing victory in Iraq, particularly in 5 years, as “doable.”
This part is particularly rich:
I admit that this post is snarkier than usual because John McCain managed to really piss me off during the call. Why? Erin asked him a hard question he didn’t want to answer, so he was patronizing and condescending to her, telling her she either hadn’t read or didn’t understand his statement earlier today and, “I’ll try to clear it up for you.” But I’m sure Erin will have plenty to say on this topic over at the Huffington Post, so I’ll leave it to her to tell the whole story.
****You have no idea how much I had to fight the urge to name this post, “McCain you ignorant slut!”
I guess they think they’ve succeeded in their mission, “infiltrating” the blogger call. I suppose when your candidate is too busy dismissing questions with “sweetie” and “I just want to eat my waffles,” it probably does seem like a big deal to get to ask your questions. LOL.
GAWD, the Left is desperate and stupid. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
UPDATE: The environmentalist question from Kate Sheppard was rewarded with only slightly less bitterness. I guess it doesn’t really pay to reach out to non-supporters, after all. Maybe what the Left wants is someone more like their candidates, who are afraid of Fox News and wouldn’t dream of welcoming non-supporters to ask questions, as John McCain has always done (whether the non-supporters are to the left or right of him). Silencing dissent is nothing new to the Left, of course.
Frankly, I’m about sick and f’ing tired of the trolls that constantly gather around McCain and his supporters (hi!). Desperation draws out trolls like flies to honey, I guess. If trollage levels are any indication of the state of campaigns, we should be in excellent shape in November.
Meanwhile, Rush Limbaugh is claiming to have beaten the Obama campaign. LOL. Um…not.
Okay, seriously? If Operation Chaos were such a big deal, how the hell did Hillary not clean up in Indiana? I mean, just a week ago, weren’t we all thinking she’d have a double-digit win over Obama because of the latest Crazy Uncle Jeremiah Eruption? But Rush gets some phone calls in to his show and reads liberal rags whining about Operation Chaos, and that translates to the margin of victory for Hillary? No. Don’t believe the hype, kids–it’s about ratings. Nothing wrong with ratings–that’s his job, and he does it well. Just don’t take this too seriously, okay? Especially you silly libs, who are no doubt crying about this as “proof” that you got robbed. STFU. You can STFU too, Sean Hannity–this isn’t your baby, so quit trying to rock it.
So…a week ago, the Wright Eruption happened, and people were suddenly thinking HRC might actually get the nomination after all. People were saying she was getting close to Obama in North Carolina (a state teh Obamination is now calling a “swing state”–LOL), and that her lead was widening in Indiana. Oh, how wrong that turned out to be just a week later. What happened?
Honestly, I’m a little disappointed; I wanted Billary to have a stronger reason to keep in the race until the convention, just like every other Republican voter did, including Rush Limbaugh in particular. Hey, maybe since Rush put Operation Chaos at parade rest a week ago…maybe that’s what had the effect. Heh. (Sorry, he can’t have it both ways.) So this is probably it for the “inevitable” candidate, for all practical purposes–barring another Crazy Uncle Jeremiah Eruption, although I don’t think he can have much more effect on Democrat voters at this point. Certainly Comrade Ayers won’t either, considering his philosophy is neatly aligned with Democrats today. At this point, Barack Obama could probably get caught smoking hash with strange gay men and all his friends in a mosque, and most of his supporters would still vote for him anyway. Hillary has canceled her appearances for this morning, and we’ll see what that means as the day progresses.
Coming into Tuesday, Clinton was some 415 pledged delegates short of the number needed to clinch the nomination-that count does not include Florida and Michigan. Obama was just 280 shy entering Tuesday. Come Wednesday, Obama will likely be within 200 delegates of reaching the magic number of 2,025 pledged delegates.
If the Clinton campaign decides to fight on, the race for the nomination could enter a contentious and confusing phase as the end of the primary season nears. The Democratic National Committee’s Rules and Bylaws Committee is set to meet at the end of the month, where members will debate whether to seat the delegations from Michigan and Florida. Tad Devine says that meeting could be the start of weeks of procedural wrangling between the campaigns, assuming the Clinton campaign takes up that fight.
“Anything from inconsequential action to turmoil can come out of that process,” Devine says. “It’s really up to the campaigns to decide what they want the tone of this to be, because the rules are such that they could go as nuclear as they want if it drags on, especially if it gets to Denver.”
Oh, and Harold Ickes warns of October Surprises. “A curious strategy,” indeed.
Watch Howard Dean go to war with the RAAACISTS!!! Clintons now–and with the superdelegates if they don’t start showing their cards. This is gonna be fun. :D

I guess I shouldn’t “LOL,” but it is funny how Democrats are always shrieking about unfair elections when you read stuff like this:
We entered the Crooked Creek Baptist Church in Washington Township at approximately 10:15 AM and noticed an Obama volunteer had set-up directly across from the voter check-in table. We noticed that she was actively speaking to voters. The sign on the table stated “Trouble Voting? Talk to me.” and “Obama for America.” She wouldn’t identify herself and directed us to call the campaign for information. We contacted the County Clerk’s Office and they stated they would contact the Polling Inspector to investigate. See the video for yourself: …
Busted! Idiots.
Oh, and you stay classy, Clintonistas. (At least they weren’t cheating–just obnoxious.)
As with the Pennsylvania primary election, you can follow breaking news reports of election shenanigans at Election Journal. If you have Twitter, you’ll get even faster updates by following them.
Others to watch at Twitter: Patrick Ruffini, Campaign2008, and Political Ticker.
That one’s from the DNC, not MoveOn.org, but what’s the difference? Not to worry, though, moveon.org has released their own “100 years” strawman ad called “Candles.” Really, if this “100 years” strawman is the best they’ve got (and it appears to be their election strategy, along with “McSame” - LOL), I’m thinking we’ve got smooth sailing on the horizon. Obviously the libs really do believe voters are too stupid to figure out that it’s dishonest nonsense.
But for the libtards’ benefit (since they apparently are that stupid), a little fact checking is in order. Not that MoveOn or the DNC care about those pesky things called “facts.”
Please, Democrats, do stick with that strawman campaign!

A political group registered last week with the Internal Revenue Service, “Nazi Skinheads for McCain 2008,” is aimed at skewering the presumptive Republican nominee, not backing him, an organizer said yesterday.
“I’m not a Nazi skinhead. I’m not a McCain supporter, either,” an unemployed software designer from Jacksonville, Fla., Kier O’Neil told The New York Sun Tuesday. “I’m kind of a disaffected Republican. I would rather have pretty much anybody in office than to have a Republican back in office.”
“Disaffected Republican.” Riiiiiight. What an idiot. Hello, Kier O’Neil. How’s that volunteer work for the Democrats working out for you?
