Terrorists for Obama

Sometime last week everyone in America heard a loud splatting sound. The sound, of course, was a certain joy that was produced (use your shameful imagination) by Democrats upon Leon Panetta’s admission that the previous administration had considered a secret on again off again program of some sort. Dems couldn’t contain themselves because it seemed to confirm that embattled Speaker Nancy Pelosi wasn’t a total lying shrew when she claimed that the CIA kept her in the dark on water boarding. Everyone carped all week long about this secret CIA program, which was reported to have limited success and which we were totally in the dark on. Indeed, we were kept in the dark on it for a whole week. What could it be? Were we being spied on? Was Dick Cheney rounding up newborns and draining them of blood in a failed attempt to transition from Dracula to human? Nope, turns out they were just trying to find a way to kill Bin Laden. The program centered around training paramilitary groups to infiltrate enemy territories undetected for targeted assassinations against high value targets. The “limited successes” were due to insurmountable logistical difficulties in the prgram. The program was ultimately rendered obsolete by the widespread use of predator drones in that role.
So thank you Nancy & Co. You’ve distracted us for a week from your bald-faced CYA lie with the shocking revelation that the CIA was trying to kill Osama bin Laden. What a pathetic crop of putzes that now occupy the majority in Congress.
UPDATE:
Ok, well, that’s interesting. Thank you foxfier. I googled the crap out of this after hearing the local radio dude talk about it and missed that fox article. I went right for the Raliegh WRAL station’s account and obviously there is a hell of a lot more to this. Most articles were blog posts that ranted like I did. This is why we need 2 sources… So, I stand corrected. I still hate the patriot act. It is crap, but in this case, it’s not the patriot act causing Ashton’s issues. If he did what they say, then it’s fryin’ time.
———————————————————————————————-
I don’t like the patriot act. Any legislation that is passed in an emergency when emotions are high is going to be a piece of crud. Plus, the fact they have to disguise what it is, a grab on freedoms, by calling it the patriot act should tell you all. Disagree and you not a patriot. Well, I despise it.
You see, it’s one thing to give unending power to the government when you trust the people in charge. But we watched while Bill Clinton used the IRS and other government branches to go after his political enemies or anyone who became a nusance. You can trust your guy with power, sure. But eventually, your guy won’t be the one wielding that power.
Today’s I hate the patriot act comes in the form of Ashton Lundeby of Oxford North Carolina. Supposedly, Ashton Lundeby made a bomb threat. The FBI stepped in and invoked the patriot act and Ashton Lundeby has disappeared. A dozen federal agents attacked the house that Ashton was living in and after tearing it apart found nothing to convict him with. Didn’t matter. The patriot act was invoked and off to another state he went. He’s “being held” in a juvey hall in Indiana. His mom has not been allowed any sense of reasonable contact with him. He has not been formally charged. He has not had a hearing. He is not being allowed a lawyer. Oh, meet 16 year old Ashton.
Yeah, a real scary one Ashton is. This country didn’t need the patriot act for over 200 years, it doesn’t need it now. A few minor adjustments to the laws at the time (the Gorelick wall for one) could have stopped 9/11. What we have now is the FBI was wrong and they don’t want to admit it. So, hold the kid until he’s 18 then send him to the new Gitmo that Obama is signing off on. I was wondering if the ACLU would step in, but since the FBI is now Obama’s and not Bush’s, I somehow doubt they will care about civil liberties. We need to kill the patriot act and send Ashton back home where he belongs. This is not what it was for. It should not be allowed to be misused again.
A brief timeline of the thug Odinga:
In 1982, he was involved in a coup attempt in Kenya. He was convicted and served 8 years in jail. He denied his involvement until the statue of limitations had expired. Then in his book, he boasts of it. Had he been convicted of masterminding it, he goes bye bye.
2006 - Obama campaigns in Kenya for Odinga opposing our current ally in the Kenyan government. This government has helped us round up terrorists in the region. They have been one of the few stable governments in Africa. The State department calls him naive.
1. He will implement Sharia courts in the areas that are 40% or more muslim within 6 months.
2. He will expand it to nation wide in 12 months.
3. He will implement islamic law including female dress codes. Even non-muslim women must comply
4. All religions outside of Islam will be banned from the public.
December 2007 - Odinga loses by 200k votes (1.2%). Odinga refuses to accept result and urges his followers to take the streets and riot.
December 2007/January 2008 - Muslims killing Christians, Hindus, Atheists, etc. Women and children are hacked to death by machettes.
In one case, women and children were locked into an assemblies of God church after the men were killed. The church was burned to the ground and the women and children inside were burned alive. Any who escaped the flames where machetted to death.
Another international thug supported by Obama.
But hey, you don’t need to know about that. Sarah Palin bought some new nail polish and that is much more important since no one buys nail polish. What a terrible woman…
NEVER, EVER FORGET.
Go watch: Seven years, seven verses.
Remember those who were lost. Our tributes to Frank Muñoz, Antoinette Duger, John Chipura, Todd Ranke, and Michelle Titolo are here. May God hold their souls close and bless their loved ones forever.
Looking around the net…
Our friend Mike at Pursuit of Happiness, came across a liberal based talk show where the host was saying that since our founding documents said we have the right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, the right to free health care is there as well. After all, without health care, you can’t have life. So the government has to give everyone health care. Too bad no one asked the host if that right extended to those that would have been covered by the infant born alive act that Obama stopped…
Our friends at the Moxargon Group scored an exclusive speech from Barack Obama detailing how he is not a flip flopper.
The fine folks at News Busters have the story of Philippe Karsenty who is a reporter in France who thought the story of Jewish guns killing a Palestinian dad and boy was fake. He agitated for more facts and was sued for libel by France 2. He proved them to be liars and won the case. Meaning that France 2 (and the NY times) was knowingly showing a propaganda based lie.
Misha at the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler has revived his “This day in history“.
Thank you to Sondrak for pointing to this one, the New Yorker has Obama in a muslim outfit while a flag burns in the fireplace. Obama says it’s tasteless and offensive. But we all know the flag burning part is his real feelings. So at least that part is true.
Since most of our readrs tend to be Republican leaning folks, behold the soccer playing elephant:
The elephant on a trampoline (yes, I know it’s computer generated, but it’s still more “real” than Obama):
And finally, since we’re on the animal thing, a young zebra vs a lioness. The Zebra wins and almost does in the lioness. A metaphor showing the no matter how big and bad Barack may seem, we’ll still kick his rear in the end.
Nedra Pickler of the AP says that Barack “defiantly” rebuked McCain for saying Barack has a September 10th mindset. I guess we can tell who Nedra is cheering for. Not an angry Barack. Not a defensive Barack (which would have been the actual truth). No, a defiant one. One who will stand up to those evil rethugs. Anyway, I digress. Here’s what his messiah-ness had to say:
“These are the same guys who helped to engineer the distraction of the war in Iraq at a time when we could have pinned down the people who actually committed 9/11. This is the same kind of fear-mongering that got us into Iraq … and it’s exactly that failed foreign policy I want to reverse.”
You mean that distraction of a war that has humiliated and pretty much run Al Qaeda out of Iraq and Afghanistan? The one that has Al Qaeda cornered in a small (but tough to get to) section of tribal Pakistan? That distraction that has Al-Sadr hiding his fat rear in Iran begging his minions to please stop being slaughtered so nicely and run away? That distraction? Whatever. I guess if you want to talk with our enemies to show how messiah-like you are, then you would kind of want some of the enemy left wouldn’t you? Too bad Bush doesn’t feel that way. You may have to have a séance to get a hold of some to negotiate with.
Oh, and about that foreign policy? You know, the one that has kept us free from attack since 9/11/2001 even though you call it a failure? You want to reverse that? What ever you say Mr. September 10th.
So how does Obamessiah think we should handle our terrorist friends? Well, here’s what he said to contrast club Gitmo detainees with the 1993 bombers of the WTC:
“And, you know, let’s take the example of Guantanamo. What we know is that, in previous terrorist attacks — for example, the first attack against the World Trade Center — we were able to arrest those responsible, put them on trial. They are currently in U.S. prisons, incapacitated. And the fact that the administration has not tried to do that has created a situation where not only have we never actually put many of these folks on trial, but we have destroyed our credibility when it comes to rule of law all around the world, and given a huge boost to terrorist recruitment in countries that say, ‘Look, this is how the United States treats Muslims. … We could have done the exact same thing, but done it in a way that was consistent with our laws.”
So the blind cleric is incapacitated? So he really hasn’t been communicating with the outside. Nope, he’s just folding clothes in the laundry area I guess. That’s why all the people in Gitmo need lawyers too. No, not a September 10th mindset at all.
After Obama said he agreed with that SCOTUS ruling giving the Gitmo prisoners a civilian review, McCain’s supporters called a phone press conference telling everyone that Obama is a September 10th kind of guy. To counter, who does Obama put on? John “I served in Nam” Kerry who was rejected by the voters 4 years ago because everyone thought he was too easy on the enemy for them and Richard Clarke, the poster child of the September 10th mindset himself. The very counter terrorism official who was pushing the buttons on September 11th and the years preceding it. Yeah, nice one there Barack. Why don’t you get Jamie Gorelick too?
So the thrust of it is, Barack says he’s not a September 10th thinker. He just thinks the policies of the September 10th thinkers worked better. But don’t say he has a September 10th mindset.
Again, as Martin puts it: Not. Ready. For. Prime. Time.
Love the ending of the article. Mr. Obama said that the republicans will use fear to get elected. Whose talking points are “They will take your social security away. They want to end medicare. They want to take away your food stamps. They want to kick you out in the street in place of their corporate buddies. They want to poison the environment…”? Pot, meet kettle.
The same miserable, corrupt Yemeni government that set the USS Cole terrorists free has sentenced journalist Abdulkarim Al-Khaiwani to six years hard labor.
I. Am. Disgusted.
Thankfully, the US State Department has condemned the act. Not that the Yemeni government will give a damn, I suppose.
Press Statement
Sean McCormack, Spokesman
Washington, DC
June 9, 2008Yemeni Journalist Sentenced
The conviction and sentencing of Yemeni journalist Abdulkarim al-Khaiwani to six years in prison points to a distressing trend in Yemen of intimidation and prosecution of independent journalists in criminal and security courts. Al-Khaiwani’s sentence has been condemned by both Yemeni and international journalism and human rights NGOs.
Al-Khaiwani himself has been the victim of violence, intimidation, and kidnappings that the Government of Yemen has yet to fully investigate and prosecute those responsible. We call upon the Government of Yemen to protect Yemeni journalists and their right to free expression in the pursuit of their profession. A free and independent media is a key component of a democratic society.
Jane Novak has much more, with lots of international reaction.
More to come as the next plan of action is determined.
TOTALLY Pig Vomit. (I am so using that phrase for all similar episodes of stupidity in punditry.)
Thankfully, hysterical paranoia isn’t the default for the conservative blogosphere. Merri (a long-time Rachel Ray watcher) and plenty of others have more. But I guess sanity doesn’t sell in the blogosphere, does it? Pig Vomit.
By the way, I don’t like the so-called “keffiyeh” scarves (plaid and paisley are now keffiyeh?) either, but it’s a style preference. I think they look ridiculous, like stupid trendy urban hipster-wannabes. Terrorist sympathizers, not so much. More like, “I wanna look radical, but I don’t really like what radicals are about.” It’s just ugly and stupid-looking.
GAWD, I’m so sick of other conservatives who make us look ridiculous.
UPDATE: For sanity-check purposes, a tip: If the only other people having fits about something are basically just Malkin, Schlussel, and Pamela/Atlas Shrugs, you can pretty much be sure that you’re wildly overreacting. (Charles Johnson, though…he’s usually a bit less hysterical. I guess everyone has their moments.)
UPDATE 2: Heh. (Still stupid looking for the same reasons above, but I like the humor behind it.)
I just got finished at today’s blogger call with John McCain. I take horrible notes from these things anyway, and I don’t have time at the moment to clean things up (gotta go get the little one from school) so I’ll post my raw, unedited notes below the fold, and send you to Fausta’s blog for a much more coherent version. I’ll probably add more links (as well as links to the questioners’ sites) later.
NOTES:
Talked about this morning’s speech, what he wants America to look like after his first term in office. Aware that this depends on the good will of Congress, but he thinks these things are DOABLE and that Americans are tired of gridlock and partisan bickering.
We will have won in Iraq - Winning = Maliki govt in control, sporadic problems with terrorists, but IA will be handling the problems, will have security arrangement w/Iraq akin to Korea, post Gulf War I, etc. but troop presence is way down.
Wants to debate Obama on whether we are winning, surge is working.
Jennifer Rubin:
1. What is view of developments in Lebanon?
Proxy war btw US and Iran; UNSCR calling for Hez disarmament has never been enforced. BO wants to sit down with the guy who calls Israel “a stinking corpse,” WHY? What does he expect to accomplish with the state that sponsors terrorism and is responsible for the deaths of Americans?
2. Bush speech in Israel made DNC/BO go nuts
Bush said he wasn’t talking about Obama, he was talking about appeasement and there are plenty of examples to point to it. Reaction because it takes the highest degree of naivete and inexperience to think sitting down and chatting with the likes of the Iranians is going to help.
Michael Goldfarb (TWS):
What should be discussed w.r.t Iran?
Have Iran renounce intentions to “wipe israel off the map”
Get Iran to renounce ambition for nukes
Get them OUT of Iraq’s business
End state sponsorship of terrorism i.e. Hezbollah
Only then can negotiations take place - “preconditions” - Iranians can signal such intentions easily
Crocker says Iranians haven’t shown the slightest inclination to do this. What does BO expect to accomplish with these people? What do you want to talk to them about?
Chatting w/them enhances their prestige.
Jim Geraghty:
On Monday, NYT article said it’s not true that BO wants to negotiate with rogue states, how to combat these lies?
Hopefully rely on media and new media to tell the truth, and the American people knowing the difference? Plenty of examples where Obama isn’t held accountable for things he’s said and that are ON THE RECORD. Not just inconsistency, but outright contradiction
Weekly press conferences? Blogger calls too?
Will try to do them, because it’s very important to keep contact
Doug Lambert (Granite Grok):
“Doing what is doable” - sounds like what Newt’s said; have you been talking to Newt?
I’ve talked to him for years, and have listened to him on TV and read him. Would be pleased to have more conversations with him; he is a great thinker. Intends to talk to him more because he is a very smart person.
Not modeling Contract with America, nor the Reagan Revolution. Just believes in the same need for change and vision for the future.
Kate Shepard:
Climate change: not for subsidies but for nuke power?
- Problems with nuke power are our own making - goes back to Carter years, overregulation after Three Mile Island and Chernobyl ended up killing nuclear power generation; also Yucca Mountain issue
Wants to encourage research & development, including electric/battery powered cars
Unashamed and unembarrassed about support for nuke power.
Also for R&D on clean coal technology, as well as other tech.
Erin Kovicka(?) Kotecki -
Why announcing withdrawal timeline in 2013?
NOT a withdrawal timeline - see the speech. The withdrawal is an expected natural consequence of progress in Iraq. NOT a withdrawal timeline, and 2013 would be the end of his first term. Facts on the ground will dictate withdrawal.
Announce a date for w/d - enemy sits back and waits, then brings chaos and genocide when we’re gone and Iran moves in. Announcing date = announcing surrender.
What to do for troops?
Rec’d highest support from veterans organizations because they know he cares about not just nat’l security but their needs. Improving health care for vets, increase education benefits. GI Bill (Webb) - wrote letter to Webb about making it where it will encourage retention.
Joanne Bamberger:
Bipartisanship - what dems would you consider in your administration?
I don’t id specific posts for Democrats in my administration. I want best and brightest, and if it does happen to be a Dem, then okay.
Specifics?
No, haven’t considered it. Wants to get a VP first.
Open to D’s?
Will appoint a D if he or she is the best candidate for the position.
A post-call note from me:
Anyone here think someone from Red State or LGF or whatever would be allowed to ask questions in a hypothetical Barack Obama blogger call? FAT CHANCE. Take note of where Joanne Bamberger writes. I’m still looking for where Erin Whatever writes, but I strongly suspect she’s either a journalist or a Democrat (redundancy is redundant!), since they’re going with the meme that the 2013 speech and ad means a timetable. I saw on FNC earlier that journalists had asked McCain repeatedly today about it being a “timetable for withdrawal.” I mean, how freaking stupid and/or dishonest do you have to be to actually ask such a question? Honestly, John McCain was a whole lot more respectful in his response than I’d have been, although he did ask if the questioner had heard or read the speech.
I should note that I’ve seen talk around the moonbatosphere lately that a good tactic for them would be to drive a wedge between the angry conservatives and John McCain. CLEARLY, Bamberger was desperately trying to get McCain to commit to naming a Democrat to his cabinet, but he didn’t bite. Too bad, Joanne - you FAIL.
Now to track down the Timetable for Withdrawal Genius. If you were in on the Blogger Call and caught her name, please let me know.
UPDATE: BUSTED. Big time.
(Also updated to add links to other questioners.)
HAHAHAHAHAHA 9/11 TROOF!!1!!11
For extra laughs, look at the angry retarded troofers in the YouTube comments. (Trust me, there are few things as fun as getting troofers upset.)
Note: Do not feed troofer trolls here. Just mock them. They are impervious to logic and/or anything that proves they are wrong. Believe me, it’s not worth your time. BTDT, got the “government shill/bury brigade” moniker at Digg to show for it. I know Google will be bringing the idiots here, so consider it Google’s entertainment gift to us, at least until I get tired of them and start lowering the banhammer on troofers.
Unfortunately, I missed it (ARGH!), but there will be others. Fausta called in, though, and has a summary of what was discussed with questions and answers listed.
He first started by talking about his recent speeches, and restating his proposed tax cuts while contrasting them to Obama’s proposed increases in capital gains tax rate and the cap on wages subject to social security taxes: “Anybody who wants to raise taxes during hard times is lacking in understanding of economics.”
He also praised Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal, who he visited yesterday. I didn’t have a chance to ask questions (as it turns out both Michael Goldfarb and Jim Geraghty asked the question I had) so I’m linking to the posts of the bloggers who did. Most of the comments had to do with the North Carolina ad, and Bill Ayers.
I particularly like that he said, “It’s clear who Hamas wants to be the next President of the United States.” Yes, it is, and it’s no wonder why. It seems he also hammered the subject of the other terrorist, William Ayers. If Obama thinks that issue is going to disappear, he’s out of his mind.
Jimmy Carter loves thugs and dictators. If you regularly violate human rights and torture, murder, maim, imprison or otherwise destroy ordinary people then by all means, President Carter is your friend. He decides that since Hamas is so good at this, he would go chat with them to see how he can help them feel good about themselves.
Now, I really haven’t seen much of this in the news about Carter’s trip to see Hamas and it really isn’t surprising that the news media is ignoring it. Here’s why: Earlier this week, Carter defended his trip to see Hamas. He said he failed to convince them to stop shelling Hamas for a month. Note, not stop shelling period, no, just for a month. So it’s ok to kill Jews, as long as you wait a month? Is that it Mr. Carter?
So when Carter got there, they negotiate and agree to peace for 10 years as long as Israel agrees to the pre-war borders. Carter comes out and announces a big win. However, during the very next meeting, Hamas launches the biggest attack in about 5 years. Killing 3 soldiers and hurting a child. They did this is during the meeting, while Carter is sitting there with the top terrorist. He was totally oblivious to what is happening. Hamas then comes out and contradicts everything Carter said after the first meeting.
That’s not the worst of Carter’s woes. Hamas, as you know, is a puppet of Iran. What do you think led the Iranian news (and news stations all through the Middle East) that night. Carter, shaking hands with Mr. Hamas-boss super-imposed with the details of the new attack. Carter was used. He was pulled off the roll, used to wipe and then flushed. Carter, by virtue of being an ex pres, has credibility. When he is seen with a group like Hamas, he gives them legitimacy. He gives them the pictures they need to coerce people. “The U.S. is on OUR side, you better obey or you’ll disappear with their blessings”. Carter either didn’t realize this or he didn’t care. The State Dept has a study that shows that terrorist groups like to launch their biggest attacks while “negotiating” for peace. It was standard operating procedure here and Carter swallowed it hook, line and sinker. Carter was reduced to a stammering “I did my best, yada yada yada…” and looks like a complete fool.
So, why do I say thank you to him? Why has the news media pretty much ignored this? Simple. Barack Obama says he wants to negotiate with Hamas. He says he’ll meet with them without pre-conditions. Thank you Jimmy Carter. You just showed us what the real world does to a hippie fantasy. We can now point at your abject failure to show what a failure Obama WILL be. His biggest foreign policy plank, meet with people that we used to refuse to meet with, is now toast. Every time he suggests it, we can hang Carter around his neck and sink him. This hippie “sing cumbaya and talk” junk does not work with thugs. We knew that. Now, more people will know it too. We just need to keep reminding them. So thank you President Carter. You showed what a fool you are, and by extension, what a fool Obama is.
Seedubya has done a nice little chart so you can keep track of which terrorists support which candidate. (Larger, clearer versions are at the link.) BE SURE to hit the links he’s posted for more that goes beyond what would fit on the chart–and yes, file those away in the dossiers as well.

Nice Deb, with a massive list of nasty Friends of Barry.
Ohhhbama. Liar, liar, pants on fire. Eight years old? Not quite.
Barack Obama tried to shrug off the radical past of his associate on the Woods Foundation board as having ended when Obama was eight, but now it looks more like the 80s. Kass relates the tale of how Dohrn in particular assisted radicals in armed robberies that turned into murders through identity theft.
And William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn still run with their old crowd.
In last week’s Pennsylvania debate, Barack Obama was finally asked about his friendship with, and the political support he has accepted from, Ayers and Dohrn. Obama replied that Ayers had done reprehensible things forty years ago, when Obama was eight years old, and scoffed at the idea that Ayers’s ancient history could be relevant. That was disingenuous, of course, given Ayers’s 2001 regrets.
It turns out that we don’t have to go back as far as 2001 to find that Obama’s friends are as unrepentant as ever. Just last year, Ayers and Dohrn attended a reunion–no kidding–of what must have been the tiny remnant of SDS members who still haven’t figured out that they were wrong about everything. Listen to what Bill Ayers, who hosted Barack Obama’s first fundraiser, has to say about the United States. Not when Obama was eight years old, but in 2007.
File those in the dossier, VRWC allies.
I cannot believe it’s even possibility that someone with comrades such as these could actually be President of the United States. I shudder to think of the kind of people who could be given access to the White House.
UPDATE, 10:30pm: Powerline has Part 2 of The Friends of Barack Obama up.
Last night, in The Friends of Barack Obama, Part 1 I reviewed Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, who helped to kick off Obama’s first political campaign and with whom Obama’s campaign says he has a “friendly” relationship. Ayers and Dohrn were domestic terrorists in the 1960s and 1970s, and they are as radical now as they ever were, as evidenced by their own words. Obama emerged from the far-left fringe of Chicago politics, and his relationship with Ayers and Dohrn, like his relationship with spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright, raises important questions about Obama’s own political beliefs.
Obama has defended his relationship with Ayers and Dohrn by saying that Ayers did “reprehensible” things forty years ago, when Obama was eight years old. He says that Ayers and Dohrn are now respectable, mainstream figures in Chicago. But the reality is quite different; they, like Wright, are anything but “mainstream” in their views of America. The audio clips in which Ayers and Dohrn reveal their still-radical views were uncovered by Guy Benson, a recent college graduate who works for radio station WYLL in Chicago. Guy writes to introduce this series of clips.
Now here’s an endorsement Obama can be proud of:
… the Hamas terrorist organization has expressed the “hope” that Senator Barack Hussein Obama will win the presidential elections and change America’s foreign policy.
Even though Obama has said that he would not meet with Hamas unless it renounces violence and recognizes Israel, or becomes the recognized leadership of the Palestinians — he has no qualms about holding talks with the leadership of Iran, Syria, and North Korea — that doesn’t seem to bother the Hamas leadership.
“We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the elections,” Ahmed Yousuf, Hamas’ top political adviser in the Gaza Strip, said in an exclusive interview with World Net Daily and with the John Batchelor Show on WABC Radio in New York.
He saw Obama’s comments about Hamas as political posturing that was understandable to lull supporters of Israel before the election.
“I understand American politics and this is the season for elections and everybody tries to sound like he’s a friend of the Israelis,” he said. All that would change if Obama would get elected. “I hope Mr. Obama and the Democrats will change the political discourse….
But I bet you won’t see that in your morning paper.
