Wanna stay on top of reports of election shenanigans today? Go to Election Journal.
The latest (as of 8:30 Eastern):
At the Police Athletic League Center, Frankford & Ruan, which houses polls for 2 precincts, witnesses report a campaign worker for the local State Rep began ripping down signs for his primary opponent. An altercation developed between volunteers for the rival campaigns. The police were called to calm the situation.
You can report incidents to them here, and you can get updates from Twitter. This being a contentious Democrat primary, I’m pretty sure you can expect a lot of action today. It’ll be like watching hockey. ;)

Oh, this could be hella fun. MWAHAHAHAHA!
Make your own logo at Logobama. Here are a couple quick ‘n’ dirty ones, just because I had the pics readily available.

There’s a collection of them from Logobama at Flickr–this one’s my favorite so far. No wait, this one with Reagan is. ;-)
Get Barack Obama logos in vector format at Wikipedia (.svg) and at Brands of the World (.ai).
This is gonna be fun. heeeheeee (Do you know how conducive this logo is for goatse manipulation?)
Okay, I AM having too much fun with this. More pics below the fold (don’t worry, no goatse).
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Moar fail than you evar thought possible?

From the people behind MST3K, Rifftrax remixes political campaign ads. Heh.
Here’s their YouTube page; they also have Hillary, Huckabee, and more stuff there too.
As Gabriel Malor said at Ace’s, “I may die of popcorn lung” before this is over. Heh.
Jon Henke has been carefully reading what the Democrats have been pushing to the press–here are just a few juicy bits:
Barack Obama is running as the sort of Uniter-Not-Divider politician who can bring us all together in rapturous harmony. But he keeps finding himself having to explain his choice in spiritual advisors and campaign committee members. The most recent story points out Obama’s “connection to another racially divisive public figure—the stridently homophobic Rev. James T. Meeks,” who was named by the Southern Poverty Law Center as one of the “10 leading black religious voices in the anti-gay movement.” Incidentally, James Meeks was also behind the Halloween “hell house” which “housed a few denizens of “hell,” including a pedophile trolling the Internet for a young victim, a meditating Buddhist, and two mincing young men wearing body glitter who were supposed to be homosexuals.” Considering how the Progressives reacted to Obama’s association with Donnie McClurkin, I would imagine this won’t make people happy.
Hey, let’s be fair and balanced!
Hillary Clinton is running on her experience. But it turns out she might not be quite so eager to discuss some of that experience, such as the meeting she had with a fellow who was apparently, illegally lobbying for Saddam Hussein, and who says Hillary Clinton “passed a message to the State Department” about the need to implement the oil-for-food deal…”
You’re gonna have to click through for the links and all the rest of the list. :)

So, I’m on vacation and check the good old internet for something interesting. Here is something really cool and addictive. I hope you don’t have much to do, because if you install it, you will get hooked. The coolest part is that it is FREE! Won’t cost a penny to download and install. Plus, it has no spamming toolbars or anything. It’s merely a physics demonstration program. Way cool.
Here is a YouTube it’s creators made to introduce it. After the video, other suggested videos are shown and several are other people’s creations. Meet Phun:
If you want to get it for yourself, here is the link to the download page.
It’s not easy to get started, and it takes some time, but hey, tell the kids to feed themselves and put themselves to bed. After all, it’s the internet and you have to have priorities!
Jawas and Live Leak for the win!
I’m downloading the torrent right now, so if it’s taken off YouTube, Google Video, Live Leak, etc., I’ll have it here–as will everyone else. ;)

More more more at The Jawa Report and at the Fitna website, which is back up. Also, think about making a donation to Geert Wilders for his work.
Via Hot Air: LiveLeak issues a statement.
LiveLeak.com has a strict stance on remaining unbiased and allowing freedom of speech as so far as the law and our rules allow. There was no legal reason to refuse Geert Wilders the right to post his film (Fitna) on LiveLeak.com and it is not our place to censor people based on an emotive response. We in no way endorse Geert Wilders, his views, nor the views expressed within Fitna. To many of us involved in LiveLeak.com some of the messages therein are personally offensive. That being said, our being offended is no reason to deny Mr Wilders the right to have his film seen. Pre-emptive censorship or a discriminatory policy towards freedom of speech are both things we oppose here on LiveLeak.com. A person has a simple, clear choice about whether to view this film. No one is being forced to view it and nor is it being broadcasted on every channel on their television set. If you click on media simply to be annoyed, it is pointless to blame others for your choice.
We do not intend on defending the content of Fitna, only our choice to allow it. Anyone has the full right of reply on LiveLeak.com. Any person or organizations are free to post their opinion and, dependent on said response falling within both the law and our rules, we will afford such responses equal exposure. There are undoubtedly better ways to spark a discussion but this film is now out there and we believe we should all grasp this opportunity to create an open dialogue and discussion on this subject.
LiveLeak rules.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.
–Matthew 28:19-20
Welcome to the family, Christian Magdi Allam.
VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - A Muslim author and critic of Islamic fundamentalism who was baptized a Catholic by Pope Benedict said on Sunday Islam is “physiologically violent” and he is now in great danger because of his conversion.
“I realize what I am going up against but I will confront my fate with my head high, with my back straight and the interior strength of one who is certain about his faith,” said Magdi Allam.
In a surprise move on Saturday night, the pope baptized the 55-year-old, Egyptian-born Allam at an Easter eve service in St Peter’s Basilica that was broadcast around the world.
The conversion of Allam to Christianity — he took the name “Christian” for his baptism — was kept secret until the Vatican disclosed it in a statement less than an hour before it began.
Writing in Sunday’s edition of the leading Corriere della Sera, the newspaper of which he is a deputy director, Allam said: “… the root of evil is innate in an Islam that is physiologically violent and historically conflictual.”

AP: Italy’s most prominent Muslim, an iconoclastic writer who condemned Islamic extremism and defended Israel, converted to Catholicism Saturday in a baptism by the pope at a Vatican Easter service.

UPDATE: More video.
This is pretty cool–wanna see what the internet looked like in the mid-90’s (eons ago, in internet time)? God, it sucked back then. Imagine how much better it will/should be ten years from now.
Lately, I’ve started collecting old VHS tapes about the Internet from the early- to mid-1990s. While most of these are pretty corny — think Gabe and Max’s Internet Thing — they also inadvertently captured pieces of the web that don’t exist anywhere else. The Internet Archive’s earliest snapshots were in late 1996, so anything before that is extremely sparse. The videos, silly as they are, still represent valuable documentation of the early web.
I spent most of the day yesterday working on a workflow to digitize VHS tapes, settling on VCR to MiniDV camera my Macbook Pro with Firewire. These tapes are pretty worn, so the quality’s not great, but that almost adds to their charm.
Here’s the result: the first volume of a two-tape collection called “Internet Power!” from 1995. I’ve included some select quotes and screenshots below.
This is just the video, but you need to go read the quotes and links, too.
Time for a little light-hearted fun at the Obamessiah’s expense, because I’ve had about all the “God damn America” I can stand for a while. (I’m still not letting it go, though.)
Ready to convert from Obamessianism yet? We’re waiting for you.
Via Blogs for John McCain’s Victory, the Boston Globe has a DIY Vice-Presidential scorecard with which you can find your “ideal” VP candidate.
On the following 20 criteria, rate possible vice presidential candidates from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). Add those 20 numbers and - presto! - you’ll have your top-scoring finalists.
My score lined up with former Representative and current SEC chair Chris Cox, and I’m not really surprised. Quin Hilyer sold me on him a while back, although he’s certainly not a must-pick for me. More on Chris Cox here, too, if you’re interested. Really, I’d be happy with any of the ones listed at the scorecard–just some more than others.
If you do it, tell me who you got!
…and kill them?
Then this is the website for you.
Started by an Army Ranger, but don’t be fooled, anyone can join up. Click on the “forum” link at the top of the page.
God bless these men.
A collection of links for a Saturday afternoon. Â
Yesterday, Rodger at C&S posted a picture of a salad bowl made of bacon.  Â
Here is the picture by picture on how to make batter dipped deep fried White Castle cheeseburgers! Yummy! Just make sure your cardiologist is on speed dial.
You probably don’t care about high school basketball, but this dunk is the best you will ever see.
So, did you know that anorexia is now a lifestyle choice?  Ugh.
Here is a funny video of a dog that gets mad at and attacks it’s own leg.Â
For no reason, a cat brushing it’s teeth.
And finally, the extended Ironman trailer!
Since Vinnie the Brat thought the kitty video was lame, I found something else I know he’ll like. This is just too cute for words. And no kitties.
God, she’s too cute!!! Obi Kenobi! (You just know she loves saying that.)
Here’s her dad, who rocks for leaving this message at the video link.
Business inquiries/agents: Thanks for your interest. At the current time we have no intention of exposing our little one to the destroyer of youth that is the entertainment industry.
That’s a smart dad. :)
This is a story that even a kitty hater like Vinnie will like.  This woman finds a lion. Yes, that’s right, a lion. The lion is sick and malnourished. She spends the next few years nursing it back to health. Once healthy, she calls the local zoo and says, “Hey, I have a lion here that I found sick and nursed back to health. Do you have space for it?” Sure enough the zoo shows up and gets the lion. They get it accustomed to his new home and when he is settled in, the lady comes for a visit.Â
Click this link and see the incredible video.Â
Awwwww! How sweet!Â
