The Stimulus Has Failed

Mr. Obama came into office betting all his hopes on recovering the nation’s economy through a massive stimulus package. Well, that’s failed. The stimulus was supposed to make unemployment go down, not up. Now we’re deeper in debt, worse off for employment, and Mr. Obama owns it all now. Remember way back when, when this thing was going through the Senate. Only three of ours crossed over to vote for it, and one of them later became a Democrat. This is Mr. Obama’s economy now, and it’s lousy, and his falling approval ratings attest to this. Couple this with his dreadful handling of the Iran situation, and his decision to back the leftist dictators of Latin America in condemning the courts and congress of Honduras, and this administration looks more and more like Jimmy Carter’s every day. Stagflation and dictators beware, Mr. Obama is limiting his days in office.

Do you not think he’ll have his gangs of thugs and the ACORN goons rigging the election and/or injuring/killing people trying to vote for the other candidates? By the time this minion of Satan and his goons get done, 90% of the votes will be for Obama in 2012. 500 million votes for him and 50 million for the other person. Yes, I know there won’t be 500 million people in the US at that time. That’s the point.

No, that’s far more paranoid than I’m prepared to go. I’m thinking there’s going to be massive reversals in 2010 now. That’s not something I was prepared to say 5 months ago. Not only are Dodd and Reid vulnerable, but so too is the Dems hold on Delaware. That translates to a bloodbath for House Dems. You’ve already seen large scale revolts from the Democrats moderates, like over the Cap and Trade matter. That pressure is only going to get worse the more sweeping Obama’s agenda becomes. In short, he’s overreached and failed on a number of key issues. His fate is now largely written for him.

What? Reagan gets a year for his tax cuts to take effect (which according to the GOP is supposed to work faster) and Obama gets 5 months?

Jesus you love to dredge up ancient history in contemporary debates. Obama billed his stimulus as something that was supposed to have an immediate effect, it has not. It was supposed to create jobs. Obviously it has not. The stimulus has not done anything it was supposed to do, that’s a failure.

I found a website by accident that rates the repeat offenders in Congress. There are quite a number of them that are in trouble. Barbara Boxer has very low approval ratings as does Jack Murtha, Barney Frank, Arlen Specter and even New York’s Scott Murphy will have a lot of trouble trying to get re-elected. There were close to 30 Democratic Senators and Congressman in re-election trouble. They said that Dodd is having trouble getting donation from Connecticut residents and is relying heavily on donation from Hollywood. DiCaprio, Hanks, Spielberg, Streisand, Hoffman and etc are donating to their re-election campaign as they are with Boxer, Pelosi and Reid. Most earned a bad rating of an F or D- from their constituents. I wish I had bookmarked the site but we had bad storms last evening and we lost electricity.

Talmadge, are you forgetting that chart of jobless rates that Obama had? Showing the jobless rates from February to December both with and without his BS stimulus? It started with FEBRUARY. Get that? As in this will create immediate jobs and start the economy NOW. He didn’t ask for a year, he, Obama, said immediate. So your argument falls on its own lack of merit.
LB, I don’t think it’s paranoia. They did that in the last election. Remember the video? Those black panthers had the charges dropped too right after Obama’s team took full control. Now they have received billions to retool and re-arm. Watch the fun in 2010. We know that in an even election, Pelosi’s gang will be back in the minority, but as the Franken theft shows, there aren’t even elections any more.
Hugh Hewitt titled his book, “they can’t steal it if it’s not close”. I disagree. It will just take them longer to steal it, but steal it they will.

Before it is all said and done, Obama will succeed Carter in the “worst president evah” category. Carter, while incompetent, wasn’t actively undermining his country, nor did Carter consolidate power in the executive like Obama is.
