epic fail

Such is the scale of the folly that Obama and his Flock have wrought.
I was in Phoenix yesterday, for a conference, and went to a dinner event in the evening, where I was talking to two architects (I’m in the health care construction field, if there is such a thing any more), who are usually reliably squishy liberals.
These two were spitting nails about Obama, and the damage his outrageous, bloated, unfocused non-stimulus spending is doing - these guys seem to realize that the business climate is in serious decline, and Obama’s message to the markets and industry so far has been a resounding “Fuck You”.
When you are in business and an income stream dries up, you have to adjust your business to compensate, which either means adding a revenue stream or cutting costs. Only an idiot thinks otherwise. Business is a simple philosophy, and governing ought to be too - cut your coat according to your cloth. Not America, oh no. Turn on the printing presses - it’s always worked; ask any Zimbabwean.
We have a totally unprepared ultra-liberal neophyte in the White House, who, for all his bullshit about post-partisanship, seems more focused on finding conservative enemies and betting the farm on inefficient statist nonsense and grandstanding gestures, than addressing the seriousness of our economic situation.
I heard him going on about how these ‘jobs’ he’s going to ‘create or save’ (whatever), will be good jobs, fixing manholes and laying asphalt. Is he a fucking total idiot, or just pretending? What use are those jobs to out of work MBAs? The asphalt sector is actually humming along fairly well, and even when these ($30 Billion out of a TRILLION) projects come up, they will not ‘create’ millions of jobs - laying asphalt is equipment-intensive these days, not labor-intensive - and in any event the projects are temporary. He seems to think the little people can just switch from being loan officers to steel fixers at the drop of a hat - as though retreating to Mussolini-esque public works programs is somehow noble and ‘real’. What a dolt.
He’s not a genius, he’s an idiot.
This is very, very serious. We are in for a dose of socialism, and I can tell you from experience it won’t turn out well.
I read yesterday that a man in Kansas has stockpiled 750,000 rounds of ammunition, and I can well understand why.
When do we march on the Congress, again?

Well said Martin. But to answer your question, of course he thinks the little people can just switch. It’s how a commie dictatorship works. You tell the masses what to do and they do it or die. We’re not there yet, obviously, but this is only that extra step from our fair lady Hillary whose health care was going to tell doctors what field they would be allowed to go into. Now it’s just gone beyond doctors and will apply to all of us.

I am almost wondering if this guy is deliberately driving this train off the fckng cliff. I simply cannot wrap my mind around the reality of someone being SO FUCKING INCOMPETENT. Or maybe it’s all Pelosi, and Obama is really that clueless and incompetent, just doing what Grandma Pelosi wants (see above - stimulus #2!).
This shit really HAS hit the fan, and it’s even worse than even I expected from the Obamateur. Maybe I just couldn’t imagine things being so fucked up.
Meanwhile the Norks and China see a goddamn noob sitting there with his thumb up his ass - and a China-friendly Secretary of State as well - and rub their evil little hands together with glee. The Chinese always pull some shit like this (remember when Bush was newly in office?) and I fully expect the Obamateur to totally FUCK IT UP.

Patience and lattitude have paid their dividends. Obama now owns the economy. The argument that “Republican obstructionism” has prevented Obama from rehabilitating the economy is now bankrupt. Now is the time to stand up and be the opposition. Now is the time to block his spending measures, fight him on his leftist social proposals, and filibuster, filibuster, filibuster. The party has now situated itself well enough that the time to be good stewards of the people’s money is here. The failures, now, are of Obama’s policies, not Bush’s. The honeymoon, as they say, is over.
