Got five dollars? Put it to use. TOMORROW TODAY (Saturday), send just FIVE DOLLARS to the Saxby Chambliss campaign!
A guy on Facebook is trying to get everyone we can reach to send just five dollars, in a sort-of money bomb (like Ron Paul supporters used to do) to give his campaign a boost, and conservatives on Facebook are vastly outnumbered. Let’s spread this throughout the blogs today, okay?
So why $5? Sure, send more - but if you can’t, five bucks is easy; even I can do it, and I’m perpetually broke and scraping for spare change.
Why should YOU participate? I’ll put it this way, quite bluntly. All this talk on the blogs lately about RINO “purges” (a bad idea, but I digress) and how conservatives have been out in the wilderness lately - well, here’s the opportunity to keep a solid conservative in the Senate, AND keep the Senate filibuster-proof. The Dems will steamroll everything we want if Senator Chambliss doesn’t hold on to that seat; as you know, they’re desperately trying to steal the election in Minnesota. Senator Chambliss has the runoff election on December 2, and the libs are sending in an army of Obama’s minions to help Chambliss’ sleazy challenger.
Put your money where your mouths are, conservatives. Be relevant. This is a good opportunity to show why our elected leaders should pay attention to you/us. The Kos Kidz have their Dear Leaders’ ears because they can mobilize and they send money. We haven’t, and people wonder why we aren’t taken seriously in Washington. Well, I don’t wonder; I know why. Nobody in power really cares about straight opinion blogs, it’s ACTIVISM that makes the difference.
FIVE DOLLARS. If you can’t do it on Saturday, do it now.

Chris says:
Have we anything on Coleman-Franken? Does he need any as well? From what I've seen, a pretty heavy legal battle may be coming as the democrats try to steal a seat with votes "found in her back seat". No that's not a joke. Some democrat election official "found" 30 more votes, shockingly all for Franken, in the back seat of her car…
Chris says:
Done as ordered boss!
Talmadge East says:
Chambliss is a disgrace to our armed services and I would gladly trade the majority in the Senate to see him lose, if that were possible.
Beth says:
Well, Talmadge, I wouldn’t expect you to want him to win, as you’re a Democrat. ;)
Made my donation!
Talmadge East says:
Yes, but my distaste for Chamliss goes much further than my party affiliation. And what can I say, I can’t help it….
Lord Bitememan says:
Yet, Talmadge, you would readily see Al Franken in the Senate.
Talmadge East says:
Yes, I would, nut mostly for the entertainment factor.
Talmadge East says:
but??? Sorry.
Lord Bitememan says:
If there’s room for Franken, there’s more than enough room for Chambliss.
AOP says:
Anyone but Franken…

Talmadge East says:
I know there are some that are, but at least Franken isn’t degenerative to people that have served their country.
Lord Bitememan says:
No, he’s a degenerate on a much more general level of scum-baggery. He’s a loathsome and vile individual, and Chambliss is a paragon of honor and good conduct by comparison. So, I say again, if there’s room from Franken, there’s plenty of room for Chambliss.

How does the runoff election work? Does anyone know?
Is it like a completely new election campaign all over again for the leading and runner up candidate?New sets of TV ads? New set of lawn signs, etc? So does the Republican and Democratic parties start from a completely new slate all over again? It seems kind of skewed, because if a person didn’t like the way they voted last time, they can switch their vote. Or if they think that their state or district will get more funds if they elect the majority party. So you can ‘undo’ what you just ‘did’. Reminds me of Cher’s song, “If I could only turn back time”.
But in this case, you actually get to do it. Almost like having a game of poker with a group of people, then changing the cards you throw away the second time because you didn’t like what cards you threw down the first time, in order to get the ones you want. I dunno, maybe I’m mistaken. I guess if that’s their law, that’s the law.
I can imagine the lawn signs or TV ads:
“Vote for this guy if you didn’t like who you voted for the LAST time.”
Interesting
Lord Bitememan says:
Actually Harry, yes, the runoff is a completely new vote. And, rather than a lot of people switching, what you tend to see is massive voter turnout drop off. I think without Obama on the ticket this time and the youth vote all hitting the books for finals time this massivly advantages Chambliss.
