Marching Orders

Ok, the polls are all over the place. Zogby had McCain up 1 in a one day poll Saturday (yeah, I know, Zogby). TIPP and others have him within the margin of error. Others are an Obama blowout. I don’t know if any of the traditional polls will be even close. This could be anything from a solid McCain win to an Obama blowout. No knows what the Bradley effect will be. No knows how many P.U.M.A.’s there are. No one knows how many new voters Obama will actually get to the polls. All we know is that on Tuesday, we get to cast our vote for our opinion. Make yours heard.
Nothing is in your control except your vote. Get out there and vote. Wait in line. Do not listen to the early results. If they say McCain is winning, assume they are trying to get you overconfident and make you want to skip a long line. If they say Obama is winning, assume they are trying to depress you and get you to think it’s all for naught and say “why bother”. Remember, they overstated Obama’s numbers by a couple points in the primaries on most occasions.
Your vote belongs to you. Not the New York Times. Not the Washington Post. Not the elites of Europe. Not Fox News. Not your next door neighbor. You and you alone. It is your one way of thumbing your nose and sticking it to the people in charge. The only wasted vote is one that was not cast. Assume the other side is getting every eligible person out to vote and do your part. Encourage others that are thinking of not voting. Drag them to the polls if you have to. Don’t get down. Don’t stop. Don’t rest. We’ll have 2 years to rest after Tuesday. If we vote and lose, so be it. It wasn’t meant to be. If we lose because we didn’t vote, then that will make us derelict in our duty to our country. If that happens, we will only have ourselves to blame if we start losing freedoms and our wages to the government.
THIS RACE IS NOT OVER UNTIL TUESDAY NIGHT WHEN THE POLLS CLOSE IN YOUR AREA.
Keep moving forward. Keep your spirits up. Move it out. Get out and vote. It’s your duty.
