Digg is a joke

This the top ten in “World & Business.”
Can you say “echo chamber?”
Worse, five of the ten overall top stories (that includes tech news and everything else) are from the above list. Teh Obamessiah rules the roost over there.
UPDATE, 5/25 - The 2008 US Elections section (screenshot of “hot” upcoming stories):
How many stories about the same damn thing (Hillary’s desperate, idiotic RFK remark) can people possibly submit?

Thane Eichenauer says:
A social web site cannot be expected to be more than a reflection of its users. If there are 1,700 people who think that Hillary Clinton is interesting then digg.com is going to reflect that.
I use digg but I synthesize it using RSS feeds via reader.google.com.
Beth says:
I agree, it’s just a reflection of the users, but still…it’s absurd. People are digging duplicate shit like crazy. A little variety wouldn’t kill anyone.
Also, anything that comes from a viewpoint that goes against the mob gets immediately buried, regardless of its legitimacy as a story. Here’s a good example of that, from digg user petsheep. As of right now, 177 diggs, but buried into oblivion. It’s bullshit. Diggers are asshats.

You are so right and all the more reason why I wanna puppy…I’m dead serious here.
Talmadge East says:
Well at least it’s a change from Ron Paul controlling everything…
Stix says:
YesI rememeberthe days when anyhting Ron Paul would jump up to the top immediately.
DIGG and all of those rating sites or whatever you want to call them are run by Liberal and looney Libertarians. GOPhub is conservative, but too small to really work like DIGG.
