Upgrading Wordpress
(update) DONE!
Stand by for possible wonkiness for the next few minutes/hour/whatever.
BRB…
Note to others upgrading to Wordpress 2.5.1: if after you upgrade you can’t get in, check your error log. There may be a space at the end of some files (i.e. wp-config, wp-db, etc.), and you’ll need to get rid of that space and reupload the offending file(s). I found that out after upgrading my test database.
BTW, I love love love being able to upgrade plugins from the dashboard. woot!
Next up…the theme. I’m so f’ing sick of this theme that lately I can’t stand looking at my own blog any more.
Testing media uploader thingy:

Bah. Pics upload just fine, but nothing else does. Pbbbt.

Huh. That was surprisingly easy, compared to the hassles I had with my test blog. I guess that’s why it was so easy - I already worked out the kinks.
Still annoyed about quicktags on the comments not working, still don’t know why they quit working. Feh.

testing pics in comments (it worked on the test blog, but just in case):

I see the spend-o-meter pic.
Martin says:
Ummmm. Is it so easy that a retard such as your part-time co-conspirator can do it?
Beth says:
Hmmm. That depends. CAN you? Sure. Will you want to if you aren’t familiar with all the stuff? Probably not. I can help you, but if that means you’re going to disappear from MVRWC forever, then you’re on your own. ;-P
Heeee.

I was sure this upgrade would make the sky fall on my head as all have done to me in the past. But it was easy this time. Maybe they are really improving Wordpress.
