Are YOU better educated than a Harvard senior? I am. :-P
Better yet, can you beat the average score of test-takers? (It’s higher than the college students.)
More about the test here. Maybe universities should spend less time on ideological indoctrination and more time actually EDUCATING students. (I know, what a novel idea.) But what do I know? I ain’t got no colledge digree! I’m po’ and bitter!

What better way to show your undying devotion to your preferred Presidential candidate than to imprint his or her mug on your body for the rest of your life with a tattoo?
Proof that tattoos are dull, ordinary, conformist and ever increasingly for idiots.
God help us - these people probably vote.
TOTALLY Pig Vomit. (I am so using that phrase for all similar episodes of stupidity in punditry.)
Thankfully, hysterical paranoia isn’t the default for the conservative blogosphere. Merri (a long-time Rachel Ray watcher) and plenty of others have more. But I guess sanity doesn’t sell in the blogosphere, does it? Pig Vomit.
By the way, I don’t like the so-called “keffiyeh” scarves (plaid and paisley are now keffiyeh?) either, but it’s a style preference. I think they look ridiculous, like stupid trendy urban hipster-wannabes. Terrorist sympathizers, not so much. More like, “I wanna look radical, but I don’t really like what radicals are about.” It’s just ugly and stupid-looking.
GAWD, I’m so sick of other conservatives who make us look ridiculous.
UPDATE: For sanity-check purposes, a tip: If the only other people having fits about something are basically just Malkin, Schlussel, and Pamela/Atlas Shrugs, you can pretty much be sure that you’re wildly overreacting. (Charles Johnson, though…he’s usually a bit less hysterical. I guess everyone has their moments.)
UPDATE 2: Heh. (Still stupid looking for the same reasons above, but I like the humor behind it.)
Or should I say openly threatening them through the useful idiots of our fourth estate.
Pelosi predicted Wednesday that a presidential nominee will emerge in the week after the final Democratic primaries on June 3, but she said “I will step in” if there is no resolution by late June regarding the seating of delegates from Florida and Michigan, the two states that defied party rules by holding early primaries.
Step in and do what? Tell teh Obamessiah™ that he’s not the nominee? I think not. There’s only one plausible course of action for somebody ’stepping in’ prior to the convention, and that’s to tell Hillary to GTF out of Barry’s way. And the Clintons know it.
She’s saber-rattling, and utilizing the useful idiots in the MSM to unquestioningly talk in oblique ways about ’stepping in’ without asking the question, as an amateur like me did, “step in and do what”?
Here’s some news for you Nancy: The Clintons aren’t scared of you or anybody else. They’ll drop out when they’re good and ready, and not one second before.
Wondering about the new McClellan book? Well wonder no more. The Moxargon Group is all over it. Our friends at the Moxaragon Group have Scott McClellan’s 6 steps 4 success. Go read it. It’s great! Also check out the conversation heard at MSNBC’s newsroom. Another classic. I love good political humor and they are really good at it.
And the light shone brightly upon the Obamamessiah and he felt warmed by it’s heat. A smile broke out upon his face as the light circled him and raised him above the common people and they worshipped him, speaking not but “Hope, change, Barack”. And for the Obamamessiah, it was good. The light continued to get brighter and the Obamamessiah was sore afraid. He knew that surely as the light shows his way, it also shows the warts that were once hidden and exposes the dark evil underside that was tucked out of view. The people seeing the truth, awoke from their Obamacoma and stopped mindlessly spouting “hope, change, Barack”. Seeing the con-man for what he was, they turned away and left him in droves.
Reality 3:16
So here comes the onslaught. Obamamessiah has the nomination all wrapped up. Only an “accident” can stop him. (Hillary, your goon is calling for orders) Time to unleash the big guns. As I said earlier, the 527’s are going to shred this guy up like Mexican cheese and it isn’t going to be pretty for the democrats. Our first shots are coming from a group called Vets for Freedom. Now, to be accurate, they aren’t a 527, but they’ll do just nicely.
It seems our friends at the Vets for Freedom are taking issue with his Obamamessiahness. At each stop he makes now, he rails against the Iraq war telling everyone who will listen that Iraq isn’t going well at all. It’s out of control. It’s terrible.
Well, there is a problem: it’s not true. The Obamamessiah either doesn’t know that, or he refuses to admit it. You see, he hasn’t been to Iraq since January of 2006 and even that is a bit deceptive. When he visited there, it was just a glorified sleepover. He never left the green zone. He never visited Maliki. He never visited the local neighborhoods. Just like the press, he stayed in the hotel lobby and made stuff up.
The Vets for Freedom know this and they have been trying to meet with the Obamamessiah to talk to him about it. Shockingly, he won’t meet with them. In fact, on one day, the Vets for Freedom went to the hill to meet with all the senators and members of congress they could. Each member went to the offices of representatives from their own state. They were able to meet with 55 members of the Senate that day. When the Illinois vets went to meet the Obamamessiah in his office, he did what he always does when the heat gets turned up. He ran. He ran like a little girl running from a spider. After they went into his office waiting area, he was seen sneaking and out a side exit to avoid them. Nice! Way to go Mr. Wannabe Commander in Chief! Homer Simpson is more qualified to be CIC than the Obamamessiah is. At least he knows to “point the army and shoot”.
The Vets for Freedom probably didn’t bother with McCain. You see McCain has visited Iraq 3 times in the last 14 months. He went in March of ‘07, August of ‘07 and this past March. Remember last summer? How was McCain doing last summer? He was laying off people. He was closing offices. Pollsters were not even including him on polls because he was “finished”. Still, with all that, he took the time and money to go to Iraq and see for himself what was really happening.
So what do the Vets for Freedom want from Obama? They want him to go to Iraq and really visit the place. They want him to meet with the honorable General Petraeus face to face. They want him to see that attacks in Iraq are down 70% since June of 2007. They want him to see that sectarian violence is down 90% in that same time. They want him to see that violence is down 95% in Baghdad. In short, they want him to stop brainlessly spouting Soros and moveon press releases. In a stroke of political genius, McCain has invited the Obamamessiah to come with him on his next trip. What say you Obamamessiah?
Here, let’s hear it from them:
SWEET! And here’s another! The hits just keep coming!
Obamamessiah is in serious trouble. These are just the opening salvos in a long hot summer. There is more and worse coming. He’s not going to win in November but the democrats can’t/won’t take it from him now. It would be political suicide. Pick your November loss democrats: Lose the presidency to McCain or send in Hillary to lose the Presidency and several house/senate seats as well. Come on dems, pick your poison!
The soap-dodging, dreadlocked, middle-class white kids that smash windows during G8 meetings ought to read this piece at the Globalisation Institute (Brit spelling).
There are those who worry that globalisation as a process is making the world more unequal: they might even be right, in that those places which are not taking part are falling even further behind, but to claim that as a negative would be odd. Somewhat like saying that no one should exercise, as those who do not do not benefit as those who do.
A good analogy if a little tortured, linguistically speaking.
But his point is very simple:
Markets, economic freedom, trade, they seem to do just what everyone desires, enable people to lift themselves up out of drudgery and destitution.
And we couldn’t have that, could we? Who would be left to depend on our unelected betters at the UN?
Beverly Dupuy’s son Eric has been in Iraq since December. It’s his second tour of duty there.
Shortly after he arrived this time, five men in his unit were killed by enemy fire. Two of them were very close friends.
“I just wanted to do something special for his unit,” said Beverly.
She contacted a group called Soldiers’ Angels, which attempts to provide some kindness, love and small tokens of appreciation for those fighting abroad.
Greta Perry, the leader for Louisiana’s chapter of the group, called Eric’s unit for suggestions.
“The chaplain said that what they really, really wanted was to start a coffee house,” she recalled.
Y’all know Greta - she’s the human dynamo at Kiss My Gumbo, Hooah Wife, and of course, Soldiers Angels LA. Not to mention a great real-life friend of mine. :) I’m so proud of her!
Check out the pictures from Iraq from when they started building the Big Easy Cafe, and video from when they opened it.
Congratulations to all involved, and to all Soldiers’ Angels supporters!
By the way, if you want to get involved in a state Soldiers’ Angels team like this, contact Greta and she’ll get you to the right person. If you’re in Alabama and want to help, contact Nicki. And of course, you can always donate to the Soldiers’ Angels organization; your financial assistance is always needed and appreciated!
Sweet Jesus, what is this fine mess? Auschwitz? (Grandfather? Uncle?)
And he sees dead people? (Oh wait, he’s the Obamessiah!)

Well, at least we’re assured of four years of (painful) laughs, if he’s elected - assuming one can laugh about his absurd lies.
He’s not gonna be elected, though. :)
Working on campaign stuff, web design, and as a one-woman bury brigade over at digg (and I could sure use some help). ;-)
Also, sleeping.
Be back later, if anyone cares.

President Bush today at Arlington National Cemetery:
Thank you. Mr. Secretary, thank you for the kind introduction. Members of my Cabinet, members of the administration, Admiral Mullen, members of the United States Congress, Senator Warner and Congressman Skelton, members of the military, our veterans, honored guests, families of the fallen: Laura and I are honored to be with you on Memorial Day and thank you for coming.
A few moments ago, I placed a wreath upon the tomb of three brave American[s] who gave their lives in service to our nation. The names of these honored are known only to the Creator who delivered them home from the anguish of war — but their valor is known to us all. It’s the same valor that endured the stinging cold of Valley Forge. It is the same valor that planted the proud colors of a great nation on a mountaintop on Iwo Jima. It is the same valor that charged fearlessly through the assault of enemy fire from the mountains of Afghanistan to the deserts of Iraq. It is the valor that has defined the armed forces of the United States of America throughout our history.
Today, we gather to honor those who gave everything to preserve our way of life. The men and women we honor here served for liberty. They sacrificed for liberty. And in countless acts of courage, they died for liberty. From faraway lands, they were returned to cemeteries like this one, where broken hearts received their broken bodies — they found peace beneath the white headstones in the land they fought to defend.
It is a solemn reminder of the cost of freedom that the number of headstones in a place such as this grows with every new Memorial Day. In a world where freedom is constantly under attack and in a world where our security is challenged, the joys of liberty are often purchased by the sacrifices of those who serve a cause greater than themselves. Today we mourn and remember all who have given their lives in the line of duty. Today we lift up our hearts especially those who’ve fallen in the past year.
We remember Army Specialist Ronald Tucker of Fountain, Colorado. As a young man, Ronnie was known for having an infectious smile and a prankster’s sense of humor. And then he joined the United States Army, which brought out a more mature side in him. Ronnie transformed from a lighthearted teenager into a devoted soldier and a dutiful son who called his mother every day from his post in Iraq. In his final act of duty, less than a month ago, he worked with other members of his unit to build a soccer field for Iraqi children. As he drove back to his base, an enemy bomb robbed him of his life. And today our nation grieves for the loss of Ronnie Tucker.
We remember two Navy SEALS — Nathan Hardy of Durham, New Hampshire, and Michael Koch of State College, Pennsylvania. Nate and Mike were partners in the field and they were close friends in the barracks. Through several missions together, they had developed the unique bond of brotherhood that comes from trusting another with your life. They even shared a battlefield tradition: They would often head into battle with American flags clutched to their chests underneath their uniform. Nate and Mike performed this ritual for the last time on February the 4th — they both laid down their lives in Iraq after being ambushed by terrorists. These two friends spent their last few moments on earth together, doing what they loved most — defending the United States of America. Today, Nathan Hardy and Mike Koch lay at rest next to each other right here on the grounds of Arlington.
The men and women of American armed forces perform extraordinary acts of heroism every single day. Like the nation they serve, they do not glory in the devastation of war. They also do not flinch from combat when liberty and justice are embattled. Ronald Tucker, Nathan Hardy and Mike Koch make clear, they do not waver — even in the face of danger.
And so today, here in Washington and across our country, we pay tribute to all who have fallen — a tribute never equal to the debt they are owed. We will forever honor their memories. We will forever search for their comrades, the POWs and MIAs. And we pledge — we offer a solemn pledge to persevere and to provide the security for our citizens and secure the peace for which they fought.
The soil of Arlington and other sites is filled with liberty’s defenders. It is nourished by their heroism. It is watered by the silent tears of the mothers and fathers, and husbands and wives, and sons and daughters they left behind. Today we pray for God’s blessing on all who grieve and ask the Almighty to strengthen and comfort them today and everyday.
On this Memorial Day, I stand before you as the Commander-in-Chief and try to tell you how proud I am at the sacrifice and service of the men and women who wear our uniform. They’re an awesome bunch of people and the United States is blessed to have such citizens.
I am humbled by those who have made the ultimate sacrifice that allow a free civilization to endure and flourish. It only remains for us, the heirs of their legacy, to have the courage and the character to follow their lead — and to preserve America as the greatest nation on earth and the last best hope for mankind.
May God bless you and may God bless America.
This the top ten in “World & Business.”
Can you say “echo chamber?”
Worse, five of the ten overall top stories (that includes tech news and everything else) are from the above list. Teh Obamessiah rules the roost over there.
UPDATE, 5/25 - The 2008 US Elections section (screenshot of “hot” upcoming stories):
How many stories about the same damn thing (Hillary’s desperate, idiotic RFK remark) can people possibly submit?
Must-read on Obama as Carter’s heir:
The question for the rest of the year is this: Are there enough voting Americans who survived the disastrous odyssey through the late 1970s that was led by blessedly now ex-president Jimmy Carter?
[...]
Consciously or not, Obama has selected the philosophical template of the Carter administration, from defunding the military, fighting the “special interests” down to imposing the windfall profits tax on the rich. Well, as Justice Clarence Thomas might say: whoop-dee-damn-do! This is precisely the philosophy of Jimmy Carter, although Carter had the good sense not to campaign as the pacifist he really is in 1976, waiting until the moment his hand came off the bible for that.
Go read the whole thing - it’s dead-on. And that is the question of the year - will enough people vote who actually remember the disastrous Carter years? Notice how Obama has the “youth vote,” but doesn’t do so well among older voters?
Not like we didn’t know it already, but it’s nice to see one of them actually admit it in public. Congressman Paul Kanjorski (D-PA)
“I’ll tell you my impression. We really in this last election, when I say we…the Democrats, I think pushed it as far as we can to the end of the fleet, didn’t say it, but we implied it. That if we won the Congressional elections, we could stop the war. Now anybody was a good student of Government would know that wasn’t true. But you know, the temptation to want to win back the Congress, we sort of stretched the facts…and people ate it up.“
Nothing like selling out American interests and American lives for a few votes. Deny the success of the surge, exaggerate, condemn, argue against the war, attack the troops (I’m lookin’ at you, Murtha), parrot the enemy’s propaganda…for what? Votes. How much damage do they need to do to the war effort, how many American lives do they need to endanger just to get elected or re-elected?
“The ends justify the means” for the Left, good little Trotskyites that they are.
Of course, Kanjorski doesn’t speak for all Democrats. Some of them are deadly serious about dismantling American strength.
