Because their base is full of stupid kids, and the young’uns think animals like Che Guevara were revolutionary heroes. IOW, they have no fucking idea what they’re talking about, so they keep moving further to the left. (Hire a college kid while they still know everything!)
And then there’s the loathsome aged hippie Boomers, who have these shockingly stupid kids as their audience and footsoldiers now. Of course, I think the damn moonbats on the internets (again, young nauseating hipsters and smelly old hippies) have more to do with it than even they realize themselves. Put the moonbat nutroots in charge of the agenda, and you get moonbats running for office and winning. I’m convinced that the intarweb is heavily skewed by the overpopulation of the mentally ill–and now the crazies have a voice (remember the Paultards?). Look at how huge the numbers are on the left side of the web–they’ve got conservatives outnumbered on teh internets by a factor of god-knows-what, but it’s a LOT. (Compare blog traffic, for just one metric.)
I’m with you–I thought Jon F’n Carry was the bottom of the barrel, but DAMN. Not. Even. Close. BooHoo Obama is an insult to the process. And Hillary…well, she goes without saying. At least I won’t have to listen to that voice for four to eight years (plus Slick Willie’s!), although it’s true, Barry is about a thousand times WORSE. And as much as I loathed Slick Willie, MY GOD, he’s practically a Republican compared to the crazy fuckers nowadays.

If I’m not mistaken, they invented the concept of superdelegates after the McGovern debacle, specifically to avoid nominating another McGovern. Who knew the first time they’d have to use them for that purpose would be to stop the nomination of an identity politician–the one time they couldn’t use them! Its so delicious. Go Hillary! I want to see Chicago 68 all over again!
