Having grown up in Anderson and Cicero Indiana–went to college at big Ball State in Muncie, Indiana may I humbly suggest to Mr. Obama that he spend about 4 morning hours with us detassling the June or July corn, shod a couple horses and then bring up 50 bales of timothy to the barn. Obama has made some serious campaign mistakes, we all know. His affiliations with radical “liberal extremists” can be and obviously is (hence this site) easily perverted to strengthen the conservative “status quo” mentality.
This doesn’t however, take away the fact that even though his comments seemed callous and elitist (especially since they were made in SF, the Holy Grail of secular liberal progressives) towards the Pennsylvanian working class, his economic policies actually stand to benefit this same group of people the most.
No other candidate wants to strengthen the cause of working people by increasing tax credits such as Earned Income Credit and Social Security.
That’s right. These same “Heartland Americans” who gobbled up Fox News’ “Obama’s an Elitist” bait are the ones who end up recieving more tax breaks from the IRS to increase economic development by relieving the working class strain.
I support Obama not because I sip lattes at second-hand bookstores with a messenger bag slung over my shoulder full of vegan food and the latest NYTimes, but because if you use common sense and rationally analyze his POLICIES rather than his campaign blunders and past affiliations, you can see that he has the greatest likelihood of mitigatiing the crises we face due to his rejection of passionate ideology.

We aren’t the clueless sheep you think we are, you know. You obviously, obviously think you have all the answers, just like all of your idiotarian allies.
In fact, I’m probably the poster child for the kind of person the obnoxiously paternalist Left wants to “take care of.” They - and you - have it all wrong, and you don’t understand it at all. It’s the same old crap, same old ideas, none of which has done a damn thing to “CHANGE!” things for the better for people like me. Your side and its “passionate ideology” (and I don’t care about Barry O’s rhetoric rejecting it, I care about his policy proposals and what he’s actually done) has hindered actual progress without fail. Not one of the real “progressive” ideas that conservatives have proposed for people like me have seen the light of day thanks to the resistance of the tired ass Left. No Social Security reform, no real change in childhood education (just more stuff that works within the current broken system), nothing.
Frankly, you make me laugh. If you had conducted an honest and factual assessment of policy and ideas, you wouldn’t be saying a damn thing that’s in your ridiculous talking points-generated drivel. To put it bluntly, you can take your “we know what’s best for you” script and cram it up your ass.
