The journalists that parrot this rubbish have lost any sense of inquiry, and have simply become an organ of propaganda transfer for the global warmingist left.
It’s not gotten any warmer since 1998 - this is a fact that not even the global warmingists can deny.
This year is wet, cool and getting cooler. Another fact nobody is attempting to deny.
But we still have this little gem inserted into the middle of a news piece (please remember, that the consensus has no actual evidence for their belief, but a ‘journalist’ makes the absurd statement that follows):
The consensus among scientists is that long-term temperature rises since 1880 can only be explained by greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide, caused by human activity.
Can only be explained……..by carbon dioxide (which is a result of higher temperatures, not a trigger for) caused by human activity. Even though cows fart more ‘greenhouse gases’ than the entire motor vehicle fleet of the human race.
So you see it’s a no-lose proposition - it’s man-made when the climate ‘changes’, except when it’s cooler………and then it’s………………………..LA NINA!!!!!!
Either the people who recycle this tripe know it’s baloney, or there are a huge number of bovine, credulous dupes in the world.
I suspect it’s a bit of both.

The funniest part is how the solutions they advocate ultimately just end up becoming a mish-mash of socialist and left-wing causes. The solution always seems to be bigger government, less consumer choice, mandatory veganism, etc. I’m just waiting till gay marriage somehow gets “shown” to solve some aspect of it.
