globaloney warming update

The BBC prints a story that numerous other writers have ripped to shreds so I don’t have to. Suffice to say it’s choc full of internal contradictions and unasked (let alone answered) questions.
Like, if natural phenomenons like La Nina can be the sole attributed cause of a cooling trend, then why not a warming one?
The reporter’s bias is palpable:
This would mean global temperatures have not risen since 1998, prompting some to question climate change theory.
But experts say we are still clearly in a long-term warming trend - and they forecast a new record high temperature within five years.
(Which experts, btw? Names, bona fides?)
No change since 1998, when the world was on the brink of catastrophe? No change, at all? None?
The uninitiated could conclude that global warmingism might be a figment of some charlatans imagination.

When the issue is the possibility that religious extremists might detonate a nuke in a major city wiretaps and delayed court procedings are decried as tanamount to dictatorship.
When the issue is the possibility that manmade activity might be warming the earth they want the government to be allowed to regulate everything from what you eat and when you eat it to how much television and computer usage you are allowed per day. This is heralded as “doing our part.”
Apparently dictatorship has less to do with the powers you assume to fight a threat than the political correctness of the threat you fight.
