That being said, our being offended is no reason to deny Mr Wilders the right to have his film seen. No one is being forced to view it and nor is it being broadcasted on every channel on their television set. If you click on media simply to be annoyed, it is pointless to blame others for your choice.

I liked the vid a lot! Very well done!
Puts a very needed focus on the problem especially for peeps with short attention spans!
It also highlights the frantic, hysterical opposition to it, as the work of people, who IMHO, are terified of Islam and willing to give up their freedom & cultures out of cringing fear!! That and being brainwashed by multi-culturalism and the MSM!

I thought the film was solid till it got about 9 minutes in. Then it starts turning into a nativist rant. The director really negated a lot of his message at that point.
Are there some sicknesses in Islam? You betcha. And they desperately need to be addressed, and idiot progressives need to realize that. But there are such things as moderate muslims. Some of them are even taking up the fight to change Islam. Check out these guys here for an example of that. When the film points to “the effects of Islam on the Netherlands” by showing some minurets and the fact that a large number of Muslims are living there, as though these facts alone are bad thing, I can’t agree with him. He cites that schools were giving Muslim holidays off. So what? In my school district we got Jewish holidays off. Yes, it’s unfortunate that the government would make a statement like the Mosque will play a role in our government, but not because there’s anything wrong with the mosque, it’s because they would never make the same statement about the Church. If secularism is so damned grand then Muslims ought to be equally subject to it, not the pick and choose approach. But Muslims, in and of themselves, are not a problem.
Mr. Wilders’ film could have served as a powerful call to remind society of the very urgent need to confront the sickness now gripping Islam. I fear he negated it by caving in to anti-immigrant paranoia, and that’s a shame.
