Join McCain Blogs, and get in on the carnival

I’ve been meaning to write about the new blog, McCain Blogs, that BSC Beth and I started a couple weeks ago for a while now, but as usual I’ve been busy and hadn’t gotten around to it. (Argh!)

So anyway, we started McCain Blogs to create sort of a coalition of bloggers who support John McCain’s candidacy for President. It’s not meant to compete with other efforts such as MV08, which helps set up new blogs for McCain supporters–we’re just doing our own thing, highlighting bloggers who support John McCain and posting news items about him.

If you’re a blogger who supports McCain, we want to add you to our blogroll. Go here to join the blogroll, and get a button like the red one at the top of my sidebar (there are different sizes available). There’s also blogroll code there, although to be honest, we aren’t going to insist you display the blogroll. (Blogs for Bush and Blogs for McCain’s Victory didn’t and don’t, either.)

Even if you are NOT yet on the new McCain Blogs blogroll, you can participate in our first carnival, “McCarnival for McCain” -

We at McCain Blogs are going to host the first of hopefully many blog carnivals (or roundups, for those not familiar with strange blog lingo) on Friday. We are soliciting submissions in the roundup (”McCarnival”) from any and all bloggers who have pro-McCain posts who would like to be included.

Sounds like McCain and his bend-over buddy, the old dim bulb and his gin slathered, Swiss cheese brain suffer from undiagnosed Capgras delusion (or Capgras syndrome), a rare disorder outside of Texas in which a person holds a delusional belief that an acquaintance, usually a spouse or other close family member, has been replaced by an identical looking impostor, except in this case the infidel Boooosh thinks (and thatâ��s a stretch!) that the entire country has been replaced by cheap badly cloned plastic Cheneys. This delusion is most common in patients diagnosed with schizophrenia, extreme religious/sexual repression, or constipation(Bill Oâ��Reilly), although it can occur in a number of conditions including after brain injuries, dementia, and Republican voter registration drives. My guess, off the top of my head, is that they were composed with a high melting point in mind (the temperature at which the attractive intermolecular forces are overcome), probably polyethylene with a liberal dash of other polyamides, and in the true spirit of Conservatism, to keep things completely amorphous, methyl methacrylate. Although seemingly real in every detail, with the exception of the fact that they donâ��t hide every five minutes and that theyâ��re human, Booosh keeps insisting that these Cheney-esque house apes are real, that the economy is great, that the surge is working, and that weâ��re respected everywhere, as these delusions arenâ��t cut and runners and all don flag lapel pins in various skin flaps as well as nearby assorted exhaust ports. The Capgras delusion is classed as a delusional misidentification syndrome, a class of delusional beliefs right up there with organized religion, that involves the misidentification of people, places or objects. It can occur in acute, transient, or chronic forms, in fact, anywhere old, tired, patriotic shtick is sold, borrowing on future debt of course.
