Gloria Steinem, feminist icon, deranged leftist moonbat and pygmy intellect, weighs in on John McCain’s qualifications for the Presidency.
Apparently, they don’t match being someone’s wife. Or, errrm, secretary.
And she claimed that if Clinton’s experience as first lady were taken seriously in relation to her White House bid, people might “finally admit that, say, being a secretary is the best way to learn your boss’s job and take it over.”
Isn’t that reinforcing gender stereotypes, a little bit? You know, secretary’s being womyn and all that.
McCain was, in fact, a prisoner of war for around five and a half years, during which time he was tortured repeatedly. Referring to his time in captivity, Steinem said with bewilderment, “I mean, hello? This is supposed to be a qualification to be president? I don’t think so.”
Imbeciles like Steinem can only survive in the liberal echo chamber, because the sheer mediocrity of their intellect would render them a laughing stock outside it. Nobody says being a POW is a qualification to be President, in the same way nobody serious thinks choosing the White House Christmas decor eight times qualifies one as a Stateswomyn. Stateswemon. Statesperson.
But she also opined that “a majority of Americans want redemption for racism, for our terrible destructive racist past and so see a vote for Obama as redemptive.” Then, using a term for the mass killing of women, she added, “I don’t think as many want redemption for the gynocide.”
“They acknowledge racism—not enough, but somewhat,” Steinem continued. “They would probably be less likely to acknowledge that the most likely way a pregnant woman is to die is murder from her male partner. There are six million female lives lost in the world every year simply because they are female.”
Errrrr. What? WHAT? Six million killed? Really? Really? Six million? From gynocide?
Now I’m prepared to be proved wrong, but I’ll bet all comers a million dollars that that number is quite simply MADE UP. What the hell is gynocide anyway?
Always remember when debating a snotty liberal who denigrates the intellect of conservatives, that this intellectual featherweight is a liberal, not a conservative hero.

Were I less cynical about the left-wing mainstream media I’d say these comments are cause for celebration. After all, she has finally jumped the shark and now we can put her to rest and never hear from her again. Then, I remember that “media” encompasses such wonderful institutions as CBS, CNN, and the New York Times. So, unfortunately, no good will come of this, just outrage.
