all action, no talk

I’m not a huge Royalist - I’m a republican in every sense of the word - but I have
nothing but admiration for Prince Harry:
LONDON, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Prince Harry, third in line to the British throne, has been secretly serving as a combat soldier on the front lines in Afghanistan for 2-1/2 months, the Ministry of Defence said on Thursday.
He didn’t have to go - far from it, the MOD has been trying to keep him out of combat since he graduated Sandhurst - and when he did go, he went in secret.
Of course Prince Andrew piloted helicopters on combat missions during the Falklands war, but that is qualitatively different from having one’s boots on the ground, so to speak.
Good for him.

I’ve gotta hand it to him–Prince Harry is da man. It makes you wonder where he got it, because that sort of character is almost nonexistent elsewhere in that family.
Haven’t there always been rumours about Charles not being his father? This would pretty much confirm it. ;)
I do hate that the treacherous media “outed” him, though. They couldn’t wait until he returned home? They’re disgusting maggots.

Okay, two things, Prince Charles came of age when there wasn’t a war on (mid-70s) for the UK, second of all his going into a standard education track of university was an attempt to forge a modern royalty that wasn’t based on military skill/success.
Which media outlet outed him, btw? If it was a Brit tabloid I’m not surprised, they haven’t got a single brain cell among ‘em, the idjits…
PaulW says:
It wasn’t a Brit tabloid. It was the Drudge Report?!?!
Greg says:
Drudge outed him.
Beth says:
Well, that figures. Leave it to f’ing Drudge to do someone else’s dirty work; he’s always game.
I wonder who the asshole is who told him, knowing he’d publish it? I can’t imagine Matt Drudge hesitated for even a split-second to publish it. It probably never even crossed his mind that it might be, you know, a really fucking stupid idea.
Beth says:
Oh, this is just rich.
They all make me sick. I don’t know why, during wartime, the gubmint tells the press a damn thing any more.
I think it’s funny they called Drudge a blogger, though, because he supposedly hates bloggers. LOL.
