Not with me, but with Meghan McCain. She’s adorable.
That jumping around bit? There’s more about what that was all about here. Cute. :)
The Los Angeles Times wrote about Meghan and her blog in yesterday’s paper–read it here.

Lord Bitememan says:
She kind of reminds me of katiesopinion at YouTube.
Janette says:
Her I like. ;-P
Seriously, people need to see more of Meghan because it humanizes her Dad. Does she not give stump speeches like Chelsea? I don’t know what kind of role she wants to play in the campaign but associating a young face with the McCain brand would certainly help in the general election campaign.
Beth says:
Nope, no stump speeches, as far as I know. I agree, though–she’s a big asset to the campaign. Maybe appearances on MTV or something eventually? I dunno.
Stix says:
Yes, she is cute and can apeeal to the college aged males. Or the perverted 30 something males like me.
Yes having her youthful exuberance will definitely help McCain out a lot. He needs to look like he understands the younger generation. It wil definitely help if he picks a younger person for VP. AS much as I would like to see FDT there, it would not be good to have 2 old fogies on the ticket.
Lord Bitememan says:
Couldn’t disagree more. The younger McCain should stay in her current role and not any further. Remember the Bush twins speech at the Republican Convention in ‘04? It was supposed to be humorous and show that Republicans weren’t just a bunch of stiff old suits. It backfired with everyone the next day talking about what airheads they came off as. I say head this one off at the pass and don’t give the critics fodder.

From Inside the McCain Campaign…
I have actually enjoyed reading the McCain Blogette. McCain’s daughter, Meghan McCain, does a great job with the blog and her vlogs are usually pretty good. This is the latest vlog from her blog. There’s an explanation for the jumpi…

She might provide a youthful face to the campaign, but do not let her give a stump speech. Leave that to others. She’s already getting flamed as it is.
Now, not sure I’d like her speaking on my behalf anyway if I were running for office). She admits to be a social liberal and having voted for John Kerry. :-(
Beth says:
Good point.
I was thinking the MTV crowd, but they’re all Obamessiah disciples, if you believe what the breathless drive-by media says.
PaulW says:
What was this about a McCain rally today where the guy introducing McCain tossed some mud at Obama, and after the speech McCain ‘repudiated’ him for the mudslinging?
