The Deranged Conscience of a Paultard

Gaze at the Paultard as he goes from distress and disillusionment upon reading TNR’s report on Ron Paul’s racist newsletters to paranoid conspiracy-mongering. Priceless quote:
I should have known, if they can fake a war, fake terrorist attacks, rig elections, how hard is it to fake documents? How do we get this out there?
And:
All we got now is the signatures, but the point is to repeat it over and over. We can make that thought a reality.
LOL.
And speaking of the newsletters, yeah, they’re old news…but Ron Paul’s response to questions about them isn’t. Funny how things change when you’re running for President.

This is why people need to plan these things out better. I knew back in the 1990s I would be running for Preznit by 2008, so I made absolutely sure I didn’t put my name to anything that would cause undue embarrassment down the road. So now here it is, 2008 and running as a write-in candidate, and the only thing I have to worry about are the piles of X-Files fanfic stored in the Fluky/Gossamer archives that nobody’s read since the show cancelled in 2002. Yay me!
Ron Paul may not have written them newsletters then, but he’s still responsible for stuff done in his name, even now. It’s called accountability, and more candidates need to be served it.
