It’s official: The punditocracy is on crack (LIVE BLOG)

Okay, so we all knew that.

The Obamessiah of Change got spanked and sent back to campaign pre-school by Tammy Wynette Martha Logan Hillary. Presumably, New Hampshire is also sick and tired of the word “change,” and doesn’t care for symphonies of vacuous platitudes, either.

LOL.

Screw this, I’m live blogging. Gimme a minute to set this up. I’m gonna fisk the pundits as they speak.

Okay, y’all, it’s do or die time for Fred! now in South Carolina. McCain, Romney, and Huckabee each have won a state, and they all have vulnerabilities (and so does Giuliani) in South Carolina. Fred Thompson is the natural choice for South Carolina and Tsunami Tuesday/Super Tuesday primaries–all it’s going to take is for the voters to learn about him. Fred has been in South Carolina, but this takes money to get ads on the air, and a lot of them. Fredheads came through with donations for ads in Iowa at the last minute, and it definitely helped; he made a good showing there despite (as with NH) it not being a focus of his campaign.

We CAN do this. I know how it works–you don’t want to send your money to a losing campaign. THIS is the time to make it a winning campaign. You can’t really complain about Fred not being in the top two or whatever if we don’t make it happen. We can make it happen.

Do something. DONATE. Get some money into the campaign.

    Apologies for missing the livechat.

Obama wasn’t entirely smacked down by Hillary: his polling numbers were consistent with the results. It was Edwards who lost supporters: most women originally polling for him switched to Hillary at the last minute. Apparently all the sexist stuff aimed at She Who Must Be Obeyed ticked off a segment of the population that’s not too thrilled with shirt-ironing.

It’s still a surprise to see how McCain did so well compared to the GOP pack: Hill and Obama were close, while McCain had a huge lead over Romney. Mitt can still take this as something of a victory, because he topped Huckabee and slowed the momentum there.

Now we go to South Carolina, where the whisper campaigns that Fred Thompson once starred in a t.v. show filled with New York libruls (gasp!) will circulate in force. Damn whisper campaigns… >:(

    Heh. ;-)

Nah, Obama wasn’t “smacked down,” but it’s fun to say it. :) In time, in time.
Although really, I’ll be quite pleased to see either of the two get smacked.

(Silky Pony just got plain sent to the woodshed. LOL.)

Silky Pony? That’s either Rudy G. or Edwards. Either way, it’s a two-person race for the Dems now and a three-person race for the GOP. Let’s be honest, Fred is going to have to work harder to make a dent now against the McCain/Mitt/Huck trifecta.

The only good coming out of NH is that the Ron Paul Movement took hard hits. He’ll probably stay on the way Kucinich did in 04 and will do this year, just to stay on message, but I doubt Paul is going to do better than 10 percent in all the other states…

Sorry I missed the live blog. I was dead tired and had to go to bed. But WTF is up with the Ron Paul getting more votes than Fred???!
