Ron Paul campaign responds about Neo-Nazi Don Black donation

Well, if you call this a “response.”

Bottom line– Will the Ron Paul campaign be rejecting the $500 contribution made by neo-Nazi Don Black?

At this time, I cannot say that we will be rejecting Mr. Black’s contribution, but I will bring the matter to the attention of our campaign director again, and expect some sort of decision to be made in coming days.

Hmm. Color me unimpressed.

Of course, considering this eye-opening story from someone who worked for Ron Paul in 1996, I’m not surprised.

Campaign Manager Elam suggested to me that since I was half-Jewish I ought to go to Lefty’s press conference to disrupt the event. We had gotten word that Morris was going to hold a press conference in Victoria, with documents proving that Ron Paul had close ties to Radical Right-wing Anti-Semitic and other racist groups. One of our campaign team members, even suggested that I wear a Jewish yalmaca (like a beanie cap), and loudly challenge Morris in the middle of his speech.

I did. All by myself I went to the event wearing my Jewish yalmaca, and other Jewish adornment. Half-way through the press conference, when Morris started to wave papers proving Paul’s ties to Anti-Semitic groups, I loudly interrupted that “I was Jewish, and was a top Campaign Staffer for Ron Paul,” and continued that Ron Paul would not have hired me if he hated Jews.

Note also that the blogger/former campaign staffer (Eric Dondero) says in the comments:

With Ron Paul, the buck stops at his desk (in Clute). He knows everything that goes on in his campaigns, and even has a hand in most of it. Do not be fooled by his humble and welcoming demeanor.

Verrrry interesting, isn’t it?

So I wonder, is Ron Paul really so unaware of his Neo-Nazi support base (very well documented piece at the link)? I think not. And yet, after all these years, they still haven’t been renounced–to this day, they’re still loud ‘n’ proud for their boy Ron Paul.

More about the Anti-Semitism and general nuttinesss that seems to follow Ron Paul at Adam Holland’s blog.
