Ahmadinejad is predictable and boring, stuff on the internet is not!

If you want the dirt on Ahmadinejad, try Michelle Malkin. She’s got all the links and video from AmadJihad’s ridiculous squawking at the UN and from the protests.
At this blog, you get a (painful) laugh.
Wanna see something cool? Pick out some song lyrics, copy them into depictr, and you get Flickr images that “match.”

Oh to sail away, to sandy lands and other days
Oh to touch the dream, hides inside and never seen.
Into the sun the south the north, at last the birds have flown
The shackles of commitment fell, in pieces on the ground
Oh to ride the wind, to tread the air above the din
Oh to laugh aloud, dancing as we fought the crowd
[From Achilles Last Stand]
Might as well have the music video, too!

Cool. For my money, “Achilles Last Stand” is the heaviest tune Zep ever did, it’s certainly the fastest paced. I think its the only real “heavy metal” song they ever did. Well, maybe Black Dog, but all that stuff is Hard Rock to me, Achilles has all the sword and sorcery stuff that led to Dio and Maiden. Plus the stacked guitars, more layers every verse, is amazing. Some of the best work Jimmy ever did. Presence is a woefully ignored LP. “Nobody’s Fault But Mine” is my personal fav off that one, but “Achilles” is a close 2nd. I realize its apostasy, but I like the 2 later LPS (Presence and PhysGraf) more than the early stuff. They lost me with “In Through the Out..” though.
Ok, maybe Immigrant Song fits in with metal imagery and tone, as well as the music.

Apostasy? Not here!!! Presence and Physical Graffiti are my favorites BY FAR. And yeah, Presence *is* woefully ignored. I’ve never understood why. Achilles is my favorite of all their songs.
I used to have a car with a CD changer in the trunk (stupidest idea ever, but I digress). I had six Led Zeppelin CDs in there for two years and never tired of them. When I was pregnant I listened to Zeppelin all the time, in the car, at work, at home (I was a little weird when I was pregnant, I guess!). You know how newborn babies will pay attention to and be calmed by things that are familiar? Led Zeppelin did it for my daughter!
(Now 8 years old, she thinks my music is “annoying.” LOL.)

Well, if we’re getting to PhysGraf, “10 Years Gone” is my all-time top fav Zep Tune, and it also features the big stacked layers of guitars, so it figures, because I’m a long-time Queen fanatic.
