General Lies and Power! An Ad in the WWII-era NY Times?

Via RedState, if MoveOn were around 65 years ago:
Jon Ham (yep, that’s Mary Katharine’s dad):
Imagine it is September of 1943. The Allies have just invaded Italy and thousands of American lives have been lost in the Pacific, Sicily and North Africa.
Imagine that Wendell Willkie, fighting Thomas Dewey for the Republican nomination, gives a radio address in which he ridicules President Franklin Roosevelt and his administration of the war. Imagine too that he implies that Gen. Dwight Eisenhower can’t win in Europe and calls for America to turn tail and abandon its allies in the face of difficulty.
…The real lesson here is for MoveOn: sure, you got a great discount, but if you’d waited a day you could have gotten the same message out for free.
But the New York Times isn’t pushing an agenda!
As an example of how the Times is open to all points of view in advertisers, Mathis points out that on September 11, 2007, “we published a full-page advertisement from Freedom’sWatch.org, an organization whose view is opposite of MoveOn.org.”
Freedom’s Watch spokesman Matt David, however tells me the group was charged “significantly more” than MoveOn.org for its ad. The organization says it plans to run a response to the MoveOn.org NYT ad in the Times, “and we plan to demand the same ad rate they paid,” David says.

:1logic: The hippies` & the flower children have come of age , and we all are having to reap what over the years they have been allowed to sow !! Liberals are a disgrace to the USA !! Did anyone else notice that during the 2 day`s that the Liberal arrogant elite questioned our General ; that none, one of them , not one , asked “was there anything they could do to help the troops win the war” , nor was “is there anything you need we can get you to help”. Not one offer or positive curiosity of support for our brave soldiers fighting for the Liberal, who without our Brave Soldiers fighting for “freedom” wouldn`t have the freedom to show their arrogant ignorance in public !!!

RedState wonders how things might have been if MoveOn.org had been around 65 years ago ….
This might be an example of a New York Times ad in the World War II era ….
And Rightly So has a few words about MoveOn Movements.
