American Flag Banned at N.C. School On 9/11

SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. – On the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, students at one high school were not allowed to wear clothes with an American flag.

Actually, the news story goes on to say that all flags of any country are not allowed on t-shirts, on any day.

What a load of crock! I mean really, this is the United States after all. This is just another example of political correctness gone crazy.

My first thought was hopelessly PC … though one commenter on my site enlightened me to the fact that the official Flag Code prohibits the use of the image of the flag from being worn (I’m guilty of this and will continue to be, dammit!) outside of a flag patch on uniforms of military and rescue personnel, members of patriotic organizations; or as a lapel pin.

(I had no idea this shit was so specific!)
