Lefty Thought Police move on pro-surge Democrat
Dissent will not be tolerated. It’s counter-revolutionary.
Rep. Brian Baird’s (D-Wash.) recent conversion on the Iraq war is beginning to affect more than the national dialogue. On Wednesday, liberal group MoveOn.org announced an ad campaign against the congressman in his own district.
They’ve used a soldier who left theater in 2004 to describe heavy resistance encountered two years (at least) before the surge commenced, and who then asks viewers to bring the troops home.
Baird voted against the war in 2003 and had opposed it until last month. Republicans have been quick to key on his remarks as evidence of progress in Iraq.
MoveOn disagrees, calling the war “unwinnable.”
Yep. Unwinnable. They all are if you won’t fight them.
Seriously, what does ‘unwinnable’ even mean in that context? Are they seriously suggesting that whatever we did, we couldn’t prevail? Because that’s just a falsehood.
