His “crime?”

Amnesty International, which said it is “greatly concerned by continuing human rights abuses in Iran”, has highlighted figures revealing 117 people were executed in 2006 with thousands facing floggings.
They included a woman, who had been forced into prostitution as an eight-year-old, receiving 99 lashes because of “acts contrary to chasity.”
Earlier this year, a man was flogged after a copy of the Bible was found in his car.
Note that last sentence.
In our majority Christian country, we prosecute people who put Korans in the toilet. But we allow “artists” to submerge a crucifix in urine, and exhibit “paintings” of the Virgin Mary covered in cow dung.

I couldn’t help but notice that the guy being flogged is wearing dark underwear. You know that’s forbidden in the Koran too, at least according to one of their Shrieks.

You’d have to go back to colonial America to get close to this level of brutal punishment for sex “crimes”. Even then you’d come up short. Back then it was usually stockades, which pales in comparison to a flogging. Or maybe public humiliation.
