Just another Fourth of July celebration in San Francisco

Decisions, decisions…what to do on the Fourth of July?

I could attend the premiere performance of the San Francisco Mime Troupe’s new play “Making a Killing”, a delicious wish-fact fantasy about “a cabal of military-industrial-Neo-Con colluders” who trick the US into invading Iraq so they can make money. Starring Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, and the whole gang (and I do mean gang).

But I faced a terrible scheduling conflict — the day was so crowded with anti-American July 4th events that if I went to those two celebrations I’d end up missing the Propaganda III art show and the Act Against Torture Guantanamo street theater.

A dilemma! What’s a progressive to do?

I flipped a coin and it came up heads — which meant it was the propaganda art show for me!

This is the heart of Leftist America, celebrating their violent hatred for America. Pics below the fold.

NOW can we question their patriotism?

Nice site, I just found it. So many people on the left coast are socialist. Porland, Seattle, and many others have the socialist newspapers on the streets as the daily paper. :1goaway:

Y’know Beth, at least liberals like myself predicted that Iraq would be a complete disaster. I’m glad that my conscience didn’t permit me to support that debacle. I knew that George W. Bush wasn’t qualified to be president & that he’d be a failure. Now even my Republican friends are starting to agree with me. But it sure took them a long time to see the light.

Hey, the DJ in that photo is a friend of mine!

Please understand that we in San Francisco are critical thinkers, and often roll are eyes at the more socialist types among us. We groan at a majority of our city supervisors who waste everyone’s time with their headline grabbing shennanigans. We are not shocked or offended by art shows like this, nor do we condone or agree with the messages of the artists. Like the blogger pointed out, most people pay scant attention to these events.

Do I think Guantanamo has hurt our country? - Yes.
Did I attend the protest, or even know about it? - No.
Does that protest make a difference? - No.
