Paris Hilton goes back to court - UPDATE: Gets full 45 days!
I’m not even sure why I’m bothering to comment on this circus.
LOS ANGELES, June 8, 2007 - Paris Hilton headed to court in sheriff’s custody Friday for a court hearing on her early release from jail after back-and-forth decisions on whether she could participate by telephone from her home.
Hilton appeared to be in handcuffs when she was placed into a black-and-white patrol car, which sped away from her home with lights flashing as news helicopters followed.
I just think it’s hilarious that she’s got a new ride. :rofl:

If you’re around a teevee, you have to see the hysteria on Fox News. Seriously, raised voices! The teevee lawyers are in an uproar! It’s pretty funny. But really, it is outrageous. How many dying, sick people are there in prison being treated by prison doctors? Paris is too sick to be in jail?
“It isn’t wise to keep a person in jail with her problem over an extended period of time and let the problem get worse,” Baca told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday.

If the notorious O.J. Simpson and Michael Jackson cases didn’t convince you that celebrities get special treatment, this ought to do it. (No phony race card to play here!) This really is exactly what ought to be expected, especially from a cupid stunt like Paris Hilton. She’s an idiot. A couple of weeks of jail would probably be the best thing for her in any situation, simply because this ridiculously arrogant girl with such an overwhelming sense of entitlement needs to learn some humility, not to mention see that her “problems” aren’t problems at all, especially compared to the others in jail.
That sheriff that gave her the get out of jail free card…his ass is grass. I wonder how much money Mommy and Daddy Hilton slipped him? (Update: Whoops!)

This could not have been scripted better. Paris in jail. Paris out of jail, because she finds herself in the unique position of being uncomfortable behind hars. Paris back in jail, doing the full 45 days.
I actually regret this turn of affairs because now she’ll probably get sympathy. I had predicted that her getting off easy might finally give people a bellyful of Miss Paris Hilton, and her smirking pose act would not go down well anymore and we might see the end of her career and 24/7 public interest in her and her antics.
However, it does warm my heart to know she’ll be sleeping in the GreyBar Hilton for the next few weeks.

Joe, I actually heard someone on TV say just that today. He produced an episode of ‘The Simple Life’ and said Paris is just a nice girl’.
He was stuttering really badly, but I think that’s what he said. He was mostly trying to get in that he had a new show coming out. But he did say people weren’t being fair to poor Paris. :sob:
