A father and his son are walking the Manhattan streets when the father stops at a vacant lot takes a deep breath and tells his son: “To think that at one time here on this very lot stood the Twin Towers.”
The son looks at his father and asked: “Dad, what are the Twin Towers?”
Father says: “My dear son, the Twin Towers were two tremendously tall buildings with lots of offices that were the heart of the United States, but approx 30 years ago, several Arabs destroyed the buildings.”
The boy thinks for a minute and then asks his father: “Daddy, what are Arabs?”
Q: What do you do when you see 100 dead Arabs?
A: Laugh and reload!
15 skinheads chase a Muslim into a shop and proceed to kick 7 flavors of shi’ite out of him. Eventually, the police arrive and arrest everyone.
One of the cops walks over to the assistant and asks if he saw it all happen.
When the clerk replies “yes”, the cop asks why he didn’t help out.
“I thought 15 was enough,” came the reply.

UPDATE, 2:15pm (Central time): British authorities have raised the security alert level to “CRITICAL,” indicating an attack is imminent. (Via Fox/Sky News on TV.) You can watch live coverage from Sky News here, if you’re not around a teevee.
UPDATE again, 2:38pm: US alert level being raised for “transportation.” I assume this means airports, train stations, etc. (Via Fox News TV.) Nothing more being said, though, and TSA and DHS don’t have any such update available on their websites.

A blazing car crashed into Glasgow Airport today in what is thought to be a failed terrorist bomb attack.
Eyewitnesses said two Asian men were in a Jeep Cherokee which was driven at speed with flames coming out from underneath at 3.15pm this afternoon.
After the crash, one of men, whose clothes were on fire, jumped out of the car and ran into the terminal building where he was tackled by a heroic holidaymaker.
Police then jumped on top of him as flames continued to rise from his body while terrified onlookers fled in all directions.
One eyewitness, who knocked the terrorist suspect over with his forearm said: “The man was wrestling with police on the ground.
“I had seen him and the other man get out of the car. The flames were burning through his clothes. Police were telling everybody to get back.
“Some people who were close by shouted “let him burn”. I saw the holidaymaker who had tackled him with blood streaming from his face and I myself had knocked into him with my forearm.”
The pair were held down before police led them away.
Let him burn is right. Let him burn in hell. Maybe they’ll get some information from this piece of shi’ite, though.
More at the Scotsman.com news.
Unbelievable.
BSC Beth says they are reporting some injuries on teevee, and I just saw that too. No word on how many injuries. Really, the news on TV is the best place to get information right now.
I have no idea why they’re saying they “don’t know if there’s a connection” to the failed London attacks. It seems rather implausible that it isn’t.
Stand by for the predictable denials from the spectacularly stupid Left. Bush did it, disaffected youth, nothing to see here, blah blah blah.
UPDATE: Well, they aren’t Pakistanis, or at least they aren’t ALL Pakis. As of now (7/4) we only know about two and neither is Paki. But they sure are terrorist animals!
This one is easy. Wild Thing is asking for people to send an email–even just a quick “thanks for what you do” email to some Marines in Iraq.
US Marine Colonel Simc*ck, the commander of USMC Regimental Combat Team 6 in Iraq, is asking for 6,000 positive emails to his Marines.
That’s one email for each Marine in his RCT command. COL Simc*ck is concerned about the effect of the negative barrage that those Marines are getting through the electronic media. I’ve attached an excerpt from an interview with him. So far, they’ve only mustered 2,000 emails. That’s a crying shame compared to the amount of crap I get daily in email.
I hear ya, sister. I rack up 2000 emails in a matter of days (not just blog-related email, other stuff too). Surely we can do better than that.
Send a hello, a thank you, a “you’re doing a great job,” something, to a Marine HERE. Overcome that shyness; think of the good you’ll be doing, and it costs you nothing but a few minutes of your time. Please pass on this information and get your friends to send an email, too! Every bit makes a difference!
I sent an email, and included the link to the blog in my signature. Think: if someone happens to see this post but they don’t get more email, that would totally suck. Hell yes, I’m putting y’all on the spot here. (Pssst…that means you!)

Ed Lasky over at American Thinker points out:
Congressman Mike Pence (R-Indiana) has been a stalwart supporter of the American-Israel alliance. He recently introduced an amendment to the foreign aid bill that would prohibit groups that deny Israel’s right to exist from receiving American (taxpayer dollar) foreign aid. The amendment passed 390-30.
Of the 30 members of Congress who have no problem with giving money to groups that advocate and plan for the destruction of Israel, 27 of them were Democrats.
So. Let’s talk numbers. When given a choice, 12% of Congressional Democrats voted to support countries that deny Israel’s right to exist, against 1.5% of the Republicans. It would appear that one in eight democrats are in favor of pushing the Jews into the sea, and I’m sorry to say, the majority of black members of Congress are part of that 12%.

“Massive” explosive device found in a car in central London, laden with nails and propane gas canisters (according to reports from Sky News TV on Fox News Channel). Thankfully, some alert bystanders notified authorities.
Suspected bomb found in London
Police have made safe a suspected car bomb in the heart of London.
Officers carried out a controlled explosion after reports of a suspicious vehicle parked in The Haymarket shortly before 0200 BST (0100 GMT).
The immediate area was cordoned off while police examined what they described as a “potentially viable explosive device”.
There are unconfirmed reports that gas canisters were removed from the back of the car, close to Piccadilly Circus.
The government’s emergency unit Cobra has called a meeting and the new Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is due to attend.
One police source said the bomb was a “big device” and posed a real and substantial threat to the area around The Haymarket, which is in London’s theatreland.
A witness reported seeing gas canisters being removed from the car, believed to be a silver Mercedes, at around 0400 BST (O300 GMT).
Bouncers from a nearby nightclub said they saw the car being driven erratically before it crashed into a bin. They said the driver then got out and ran off.
Dozens of forensic officers were today poring over the scene, which was covered by a blue plastic police tent.
Scotland Yard said detectives from Counter Terrorism Command were investigating the potential bomb plot and will be checking the CCTV in the area.
A spokesman said: “Police were called to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked in The Haymarket, shortly before 2am this morning.
“As a precautionary measure the immediate area was cordoned off while the vehicle was examined by explosives officers.
“They discovered what appeared to be a potentially viable explosive device. This was made safe.
This, on the first day of new Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s administration. Welcome to the real world, Mr Brown; I do hope this means you will take your homegrown terrorism a bit more seriously than some of your Labour colleagues do, and stop the slouch toward Londonistan.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the incident reminds us that Britain faces “a serious and continuous threat” and the public “need to be alert” at all times.
Jack Straw gives his reaction here (audio).
I wonder, will the Left here and in the UK claim this was fake? All a setup? How many of these incidents, “successful” and/or thwarted, do they need to see to start believing that genuine evil does, in fact, exist? Or will they just write it off as usual to the war in Iraq?
Remember that report of a few weeks ago where Al Qaeda/the Taliban was promising attacks in the US and Europe? Funny how it was so derisively dismissed by so many.
Photos, video and more coverage at Sky News.
The threat of terrorism has returned to London, with a car bomb discovered in the heart of the capital.
I should note that there have been no reports of who was behind this, but it seems rather silly to think it’s anything but Muslim terrorists. UK authorities sound certain that it is not the IRA, which is unsurprising. My only question is which Islamist group it was. According to what they’re saying on teevee, the Haymarket area is full of CCTV cameras, so the authorities do expect to see the suspect who drove the car on video.
You can find more from UK blogs here.
Melanie Phillips wrote this yesterday, before this even happened.
So is Britain’s new Prime Minister Gordon Brown going to defend the free world or surrender it to its enemies? Will he cut through all the dissimulation and manipulation by jihadis and their western useful idiots and instead call the threat to the free world by its proper name? Will he ignore the ever-increasing defeatism and pressure for appeasement, or will he genuflect to the prevalent anti-Americanism and go along with the moral and intellectual inversion that supports genocidal aggressors and blames their victims? As the dust still settles today over the shape of his government, the signs are mixed and not a little alarming.
To borrow an overused phrase, indeed.
Question of the day, from Not Proud of Britain (But Would Like to Be):
Rather than carrying out spot checks for suicide vehicle bombs, wouldn’t it have been easier for the Police simply to have arrested everyone protesting outside the Regents Park Mosque on the basis of incitement to racial hatred?
UPDATE: Fox/Sky News just showed the headline of a UK newspaper (I didn’t catch which one) that said something along the lines of “Plot to kill 1700.” 1700. With it being 2am there, in an area full of nightclubs, I can see the casualties getting that high, had the bomb detonated there.
As of right now (6am Central, noon local), the London police are holding a press conference, and it’s being carried on the news channels. Scotland Yard is saying they don’t know yet if that nightclub was the intended target. If they won’t speculate (as is the case) on the intended target, neither will I.
You farking tosser.
“We are in trench warfare and it’s going to be rough,” said Pennsylvania Republican Arlen Specter, a chief sponsor of the legislation. “But we are going to see the will of the Senate work one way or another.”
Who the hell does he think he is? I hate to remind these pompous blowhards, but remind them I will:
You. Work. For. Me.
This bill is toast anyway; the House will castrate it and send it back with a farking apple in its mouth if the Senate is dumb enough to proceed to a final vote.
Exit suggestion: Stick to creating bills the conventional way, because we the people prefer it. Just some friendly advice.
If they can spend their entire time bribing people to vote for their shi’itety farking immigration bill?
Meanwhile, two of Bush’s Cabinet members have made almost a full-time job of lobbying for the bill. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez may as well be considered tenants on Capitol Hill, Kaplan quipped.
Disgusting. I thought protecting the homeland was more important than ensuring ADM have enough cheap strawberry-pickers.
Apparently not.
