About That Immigration Bill, Part 2
That last post was Vinnie’s, not mine. I still know where my bread is buttered, even if the butter isn’t spread quite as thickly as I might like on occasion.
Sorry, y’all–we lost in November, and this* might be the best you can hope for, unless you think no action is better. Blame the circular firing squads and those who stayed home on election day (I told you so!). I just hope the Democrats don’t also completely fark up Iraq, the Patriot Act, the overall war on Islamic extremism, and more in the process.
Note to the angry people: don’t bother trying to debate me on this issue; you’ll only be wasting your time, and you’ll probably only succeed in turning me further from your position where we do differ. Again. In fact, I’m going to actually close comments on this post so people aren’t tempted to try (again) to turn this blog into an immigration debate blog.
Just sayin’.
* (Update) Big Lizards has a good summary of what the bill really says, for those of you who are screaming without actually having read the thing. Hell no, it’s not perfect, but it’s not as bad as you think.
