Must-see teevee (er, YouTube–close enough) for Saturday. Featuring Evan Sayet–Writer, Lecturer and Pundit. Annika describes it this way:
This speech, by a guy named Evan Sayet, is pure brilliance. I don’t know why I’ve never heard of him before. For years I’ve been looking for a “grand unified theory” of why liberals are so farked up, and this dude came up with a real contender. He presents his thesis within the first couple of minutes, and when I heard it I was like, “whoa, that’s amazing, I’ve never thought of it like that before.”

Thus Evan Sayet reveals why he switched from left leaning politics to right wing.
I wasn’t left leaning before 9/11, so I can’t empathize with whatever crowd Sayet used to hang with. The attack on our country did not shift my politics to the left of center, the craven and incompetent Bush administration and an enabling Congress pushed me here. I am surrounded by liberals where I live in San Francisco. My city has some of the most absurd socialist politicians running things. I work hard to try and knock the socialists out of office. I can tell you this. The liberals that I know, don’t think we deserved 9/11, and they are spitting mad. We are for hunting terrorists. We are for focusing the fight in Afghanistan. We think occupying Iraq is a costly mistake.
PS. If Sayet wants people to take him seriously about his conservatism, he should loose the Richard Lewis mullet.

You shouldn’t worry so much about liberals, dear. They didn’t ruin your life, people like the mostest evilest mother in America, Barbara Bush, did. Can you imagine having sex with her and watching her give birth to that mess? You can?!?!? My goodness gracious, I can’t! She should’ve drownded them all, them spawns of the devil, in the bathtub!

BTW, totally agree with you about the silly mullet.
Also (@Greg), I know (or logically assume) most liberals aren’t as batshi’ite crazy as the internet version; I just don’t agree with them. The internet version of any group as a whole is ridiculous anyway, which is why I don’t take the gibberish of people like “Dagne” seriously. But there sure are a hell of a lot of “Dagnes” out there.

Iraq is a hell of a lot more strategic value to the America then Afghanistan. A relatively stable, democratic Iraq, allied with America checks the mad mullahs in the area (and gives us an alternative to the flighty Turks) than Afghanistan.
Stop listening to the Frisco moonbats that tell you that America has no business in a “civil war” … which would come as a big surprise to American troops still stationed in Bosnia or South Korea.
Islamists terrorists operate wherever they can find an accomodating host. Denying them that host and/or making possible hosts think twice before taking sides against America, is what we need to do.
Dems are scared to death that the surge is having positive results … that is why Pelosi, Reid and ilk are desperate to surrender in Iraq ASAP.
They hate Bush more than they hate Islamic terrorists and they’d rather American military defeated and humiliated than allow a President with an “R” after his name get credit for a US military victory.

This isn’t my blog so I won’t comment on her/it’s other very obvious psychopathologies. I now have a greater appreciation of your negative feelings & comments about the blogospere.
