I heart Peyton Manning

But that’s not the point.
I’m starting to think Condi Rice has been domesticized. By the State Department.
Before Rice arrived in Cairo this time, the city was buzzing about Internet videos — not of Saddam Hussein but of Egyptian police who had been captured torturing innocent citizens.
About which she said precisely nothing.
Instead, she praised the “important strategic relationship” with the 78-year-old Mubarak. In Rice’s new parlance, Egypt has suddenly become part of a “moderate mainstream” in the Middle East, which, the secretary hopes, will stand with the United States and Israel against the “extremists” — Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas.
Moderate mainstream? F–k off.

Oh yeah, Rice.
Yeah, Egypt. Moderate, my ass. I guess compared to Saudi Arabia or Iran or the fuckin Taliban, maybe. Just because they don’t loudly scream about their “need” to annihilate all the Joooos doesn’t mean they wouldn’t in a split second if they could. Same with us–we’re just too far away. OTOH, they have people like Sandmonkey and Big Pharaoh, so it gives me a little hope about the place. Not much, though, when the people are electing thugs like the Hizballah-fellating Muslim Brotherhood.
