I kid you not: they not only said “the ugly death,” they said this shi’ite:
For the Bush administration, which insists it went to war in Iraq to implant democracy and justice, those globally viewed images were a shaming embarrassment. Unfortunately, all Americans will be blamed, while the Iraqi people are now likely to suffer still more. What should have been a symbolic passage out of Iraq’s darkest era will instead fuel a grim new era of spiraling sectarian vengeance.
Oh, and this.
Most Americans, whatever their view of the war, understand that the rule of Saddam Hussein brought a murderous curse and untold suffering upon the Iraqi people. Mr. Hussein has now gone to his grave. But the outrageous manner of his killing, deliberately mimicking his own depraved methods, assures that his cruelty will outlive him.
Two words for the New York Times: FARK YOU.
You know, it’s one thing to oppose capital punishment in all cases, but why not just say so? Why the hand-wringing for Saddam? Plenty of people I know who are usually against capital punishment haven’t batted an eye over his demise. Why? Well, you see what Saddam has done, and you won’t bat an eye either. And more to the point, nobody with a shred of integrity or honesty could possibly equate it with farking taunting. The New York Times doesn’t even pretend to be on the side of their own country any more. It’s all Bad Bush, Bad America; Poor Saddam, unjustly deposed President of Iraq.
This is absolutely shocking, sick torture. It’s not beheading, but it’s just as hard to watch (I couldn’t watch it all myself). You’ve been warned. Then go watch that execution video again, and you tell me if it’s “mimicking his own depraved methods.” If you ask me, Saddam’s victims would have been fortunate to have “suffered” the same fate as he.
Yeah, poor, poor Saddam. He got taunted!
Taunted!
Unfarkingbelievable.

Zendo Deb says:
You know you are on a roll when a scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail is appropriate.
c.a. Marks says:
Great post Beth!
raz0r says:
Saddam governed Iraq using cruel methods and sowed a crop with that cruelty. Saddam reaped his harvest.
BTW, the area in general is cruel to individuals. It has a history of cruelty. How he died was not cruel.
Jack says:
Some people are so virulently opposed to the Bush admin they will always take a negative position regarding his actions or actions that they think can be tied into his.
Sgt Hook says:
How perfect! A scene from the Holy Grail!! Made my day.
Bama1 says:
The most baffling aspect of the liberal viewpoint of the war in Iraq and the execution of Saddam has to be the fact that he was, perhaps, the greatest violators of all the things that these people hold most dear. It would be an understatement to say he violated human rights. Women weren’t able to get medical treatment? Girls weren’t permitted to be educated? over 2,000,000 people vanished during his regime?
Who gives a fuck if there were WMD or not? The people who say we have no business in Iraq are the same bedwetting mama’s boys and girls who are weeping over the treatment of prisoners at Guantanamo? Huh?!? It’s “none of our business” if a whole society of people are exploited, tortured, murdered, and oppressed for 40 years, but we all need to piss an moan over whether the rights of the people we’ve detained are getting fair treatment in accordance with Geneva Convention guidelines?
All I can say is that the New York Times, like the democratic party itself, is an assault on common sense.
Sgt Hook - This We'll Defend says:
On Taunting
You’ll enjoy this. Trust me. Sgt Hook out.

Pixelkiller says:
I think the word is “Unbefarkingliveable”.
William Teach says:
Wouldn’t you just love to say to Pinch “Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelled of eldeberries. I blow my nose in your general direction. Now, go away, before I taunt you again.”
Talmadge East says:
Whether you agree with the death penalty or not, you have to admit that the NY Times is being morally consistent. I would have held them out to be hypocrites if they supported the execution of Saddam.
Beth says:
Thanks–it’s not sweary enough, though. I cut a shi’iteload of nastiness out of it. Why, I have no idea.
Talmadge, I think they’re only consistent in their opposition to anything that has resulted from the war in Iraq. You don’t really think this is about the death penalty, do you? I certainly don’t, although I don’t doubt the author is morally opposed to it, even if that’s not the source of his pathetic outrage. All this bullshi’ite about the cell phone video is manufactured outrage, and it’s really pissed me off. I’m sick of these fucktards everywhere preening about how “barbaric” or whatever it is to film the execution of a genocidal demon like Saddam. This video isn’t even as easy for America-haters to condemn as this one (which is hilarious, completely harmless, and I’d defend it until my last breath). FARK those America-haters. Defending Saddam is the worst of Western depraved, ignorant, selfish, spoiled self-loathing. It must really suck for them to be so farking miserable. Fuck them.
I fart in their general direction. Motherfuckers.
seejanemom says:
Taunted….oh……..oh my, that’s a panty pisser……
mRed says:
They got jealous when one of their literary experts said well hung.
Melissa In Texas says:
Any of these panty waisted whiners crying over Saddam’s treatment (maltreatment according to the lefties), should be required to watch these vids.
I had forgotten (read: pushed to the back of my mind) how horrifying Saddam’s actions truly were.
One specific scene almost made me sick.
I am not one to rejoice over someone dying, but here in Texas we do have the old saying:
He needed killin’.
Three Cheers for Maliki at Hennessy’s View says:
[...] Of course, the pro-terrorist, anti-justice MLM won’t mention the story. Instead, the NYT equates President Bush and al-Maliki with Hussein, as if Saddam were a victim in all this (H/T Beth): For the Bush administration, which insists it went to war in Iraq to implant democracy and justice, those globally viewed images were a shaming embarrassment. Unfortunately, all Americans will be blamed, while the Iraqi people are now likely to suffer still more. What possible ” punishment ” could the N.Y.Slimes newspaper think would be fitting ?? Maybe they should watch the beheading of Daniel Pearl , he`s one of their own , surely they would demand some form of punishment ! Maybe they should watch the videos` of Sa-dang Insane`s victims being shoved into a tree shredder , face first if you were really on his shi’ite list , but feet first if you were given ” mercy ” by Sa-dang Insane ?? Maybe we should have just tied his hands behind his back to his ankles without a noose around his neck and just pushed him off of a 6 story building like he did to so many !!!! Why are the “Traitors” at the N.Y. Slimes allowed to leave their rooms !! Maybe they don`t leave their rooms if this is all they know of how things are in the real world ??? Who buys this paper ? Advertisers should be boycotted that advertise in this toilet roll !!! Winston Churchill had a saying during WWII for all of Europe that was trying to appease Hitler and be nice to him so he wouldn`t attack them : Churchill said ” If you feed the alligator , he will eat you last “… ( could have been a Tiger ) God Bless all who posted the Great responses on here degrading the N.Y. Slimes
beth says:
What really got me was that it took them several days before they started getting their panties in a wad about it. No one was that upset and then a couple of days later the media started harranging about it and then all of the sudden people started saying ‘oh - we are supposed to be upset about this!’.
I just can’t tell you how much I HATE that he was TAUNTED! That’s kinda like posing with the well-feed, healthy detainees at Abu Graib (sp?) and comparing that to beheadings with a dull kitchen knife on video.
