O Holy Silent Night

Eh, I’ve got nothin’. It’s Amateur Night and New Year’s Eve/Day is a cliché. I don’t do resolutions–if I’m going to quit smoking or whatever, I’ll just do it when I decide to do it. No need to make it a big production. I’d say “let’s hope 2007 is better than 2006″ (actually, I guess I just did, right?) but it’s not like a change in the calendar is gonna somehow change the world. This last year has sucked, for a variety of reasons–but I’m not complaining. Things could always be worse; I/we are American, after all. Those of you who aren’t–sorry. Hey, you could be from some shi’itepit like Saudi Arabia or something, so be thankful.
Anyway, Happy New Year, y’all!
Beth doesn’t want to mess with YouTube, but I will. Yes, you’ve seen it before, no need to even watch it again.
All I’m really angling for is for ya’ll to leave guesses as to how long it remains on YouTube.
The Islamists are about to be handed their asses in Somalia.
Kismayu, Somalia: Somali government forces backed by Ethiopian troops, tanks and warplanes attacked Islamist fighters dug in for a last stand near a southern port town yesterday, witnesses said
They have driven the AQ types 300km south of Mogadishu.
The Islamists used bulldozers to dig deep trenches outside Jilib, where about 3,000 of their fighters were based with more than 60 ‘technicals’ - pick-ups mounted with heavy weapons, including anti-aircraft and anti-tank guns.
Let’s see, 4,000 robed amateurs with Kalashnikovs and pick-up trucks versus 4,000 battle-hardened Ethiopian soldiers with artillery, armor and warplanes……..I like those odds. 4,000 dead Islamists, which is exactly 1,000 more than our total losses in Iraq since 2003, but I doubt Yahoo will text me that milestone like they did this morning. Wankers.
I’m also guessing the Ethiopian media are not cheering for the Islamists as enthusiastically as our own lickspittle terror-lovers, but it’s just a hunch.
Here you go, if you want to download it. Via the pathetic, pants-pissing bleeding hearts at digg. Or more likely, one of the few who aren’t pants-pissing bleeding hearts or Bush-deranged asshats.
Click here and get the wmv file, if you want that. Try this link if the other one gives you an “exceeds downloads limit” message - and let me know when that does happen, please.
Google’s got it, too. (I’m not even gonna bother with YouTube, since the resident cyberjihadis will have it flagged and loaded with pro-terrorist comments.) [UPDATE: If it gets punted from Google, I've got it loaded here too.]
Here it is, and no, it doesn’t cut off before he drops, so you WILL SEE him drop. If you’re squeamish (and I can’t imagine why any normal human being would be disturbed by the death of Saddam), this is it. If it bothers you, I suggest taking a look at what that monster did to countless thousands–make that millions–of innocents during his regime of terror. This is a hell of a lot less graphic–in fact, the video quality is pretty crappy so to me, it’s not disturbing at all. I’m a little more bothered that this appears to have been shot with a cell phone camera. ;-)
F.E.T.E.
UPDATE: Torrent for the .wmv file is HERE.
UPDATE 2: Link to the wmv file fixed.
Also, the Sadrists make me sick. They’re no freakin’ better. (If only Moqtada al-Sadr could be the next one swinging from the gallows pole!) I can understand their glee, but if you ask me, psychotic Sadrists don’t deserve the satisfaction. Idiots.
Translation of the Butcher of Baghdad Saddam’s final words and the chatter in the room from the new generation of killers over at Healing Iraq. (Via Hot Air.)
And before some cluetard comes around and says “Saddam was better” or some stupid shi’ite, I’ll just say those cluetards have no f’n idea what they’re talking about. They just think they understand the Butcher of Baghdad more because he wasn’t a religious fanatic, which is silly unless they can somehow relate to Saddam’s gruesome brutality. I’d invite the blind to review the history of Saddam’s pure evil, before they start imagining him as some benign old man. (Needless to say, because I don’t feel like being angry, I’m not even going to look at what the usual sick farks on the left have to say about all of it. I’ve seen enough already from others linking to it.)
Roundup of Arab media reactions at IraqSlogger. Mohammed at Iraq the Model has, in my eyes, the final word.
UPDATE 3: LOL! Play Hangman with Saddam!
Drudge has DOUBLE SIRENS up! LOL!
Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has been executed by hanging at an unspecified location, reports say.
Iraqi TV said the execution took place just before 0600 local time (0300GMT). It was witnessed by a doctor, lawyer and officials. It was also filmed. Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has been executed by hanging at an unspecified location, reports say.

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. This is the only video I could find.
UPDATE: The video (unedited/uncensored) of the execution is HERE.
The Duchess of York, formerly known as Sarah Ferguson (and to those who knew her well ‘the village bicycle’ - everybody rides it) is going to ring in the New Year with coke-addled moron Kate Moss, aka Mrs. Pete Doherty.
The fact that the former royal has chosen to allow the Queen’s granddaughters Princess Beatrice, 18, and 16-year-old Princess Eugenie, to spend the New Year celebrations with notorious party animal Miss Moss is bound to raise eyebrows at Buckingham Palace.
Raise eyebrows? You’d think wouldn’t you.
The Duchess first met Miss Moss at Mr Tang’s 50th birthday party in Bhutan two years ago and was later that year seen with the model at party at the Sketch club.
Photographs showed the Queen’s former daughter-in-law looking tired and slightly worse for the wear with the model hugging her enthusiastically. Friends acknowledge that the Duchess and Miss Moss are likely to spend time together at the bash.
The fusion is complete: Royal trash meets just trash. Is it wrong to hope for a very localized tsunami, affecting say two villas at the resort?
Hugo Chavez has decided to shut down an opposition television station.
“There will be no new operating licence for this coupist TV channel called RCTV. The operating licence is over… So go and turn off the equipment,” Mr Chavez said.
The strains of “silence is golden” could be heard wafting through the evening air at Chavez’s palace.
Whoops, I guess there won’t be much “happy” for Saddam–despite what your shi’itebag lawyer says. His lawyer, just on the phone with Fox News, says that “He’ll be smiling, going to the gallows.” Well, so will we.

At least it does according to John Edwards, who has that lame piece of psychobabble as his 08 campaign slogan.
“This campaign is about changing America,” the Web site read, listing five priorities that fit neatly with Edwards’ message of economic equality: “Providing universal health care for all Americans,” “Rebuilding America’s middle class and eliminating poverty,” and “Creating tax fairness by rewarding work, not just wealth.”
Dow 12500, unemployment 4.4%.
The economy seems to be doing just fine, Johnny, what are you planning on doing to keep Mohammed from slaughtering us all? He doesn’t address that very minor point, although he does tell us how he became a multi-multi-millionaire:
“I spent most of my adult life representing kids and families against very powerful opponents, usually big insurance companies,” he liked to say. “And my job was to give them a fair shake, to give them a fair chance.”
Big insurance companies underwriting Doctors who are usually trying to save a patient when something goes wrong. There’s not much a Doctor can do when a patient simply dies. It happens a lot. And ambulance-chasing motherfarkers like John Edwards are usually the only ones that come out ahead.
Prayers for the troops? Consider it done.
IMPORTANT: Some of our troops who aren’t in the desert need your support, too–the ones who serve at Guantanamo.
A retired military officer and former Green Beret was being interviewed from Guantanamo (he was “visiting” our guys down there). I was stunned with what he reported. The terrorists being held at Gitmo are receiving thousands of “well wishes” from Americans who sympathize with the terrorists and condemn America. Our troops, who are handling very dangerous detail there, aren’t getting much of anything except grief from the terrorists and from their sympathizers.
Blackfive has the details. You have your mission–get to it!

Before I go out and par-tay with my unbelievably shallow new friends here in South FL, here’s a little update - they ALL look down at themselves while dancing, men and women included. I think that tells you what you need to know. It means I can stare at the decent-looking ones I guess, so it has its upside.
These people don’t say “good morning” when they pass you in the hotel, or “thank you” when you hold a door open, because that wouldn’t be cool and you owe them anyway. I held a door open for a chick last night and she said nothing, in fact she stopped in the doorway to talk to one of her friends behind her. I said very loudly as I let the door hit her before walking away, “what am I, the farking doorman?”. She looked at me like I had shot her mother.
The place is full of people who undoubtedly would call themselves liberal. Which is why they are so rude, arrogant and self-absorbed. The barman told me the reason they add 18% to every check is that before, when they didn’t, nobody really tipped and none of the ‘help’ could make any money.
That’s the liberals for you - the only money they are generous with, except when spending on themselves, is taxpayer’s money. When it’s time to put their own money where their mouths are, Enrique and Maria can look elsewhere. The valet looked astonished when I gave him 5 bucks to bring my car around, and not because it was too little!
It’s actually disgusting, they treat the ‘help’ like servants; even their kids order them around like they own them, which makes me puke - what kind of adults will they turn into? They live in a bubble, unaware that the caricature they maintain as the wrap on Republicans (rich, out of touch, racist, money-grubbing) is THEM.
Rant over. Here come the 20 dollar glasses of wine (a 16 oz bottle of water at the pool is 8 dollars!! LOL, it costs me, like, $150 to get drunk!).
More to follow from Neverland.

Service Members in Iraq Keep Minds on Mission, Hearts at Home for Christmas
There are small signs of the season across Iraq, where thoughts of the friends and loved ones they miss weigh heavier than usual on the minds of U.S. troops. But for most, Christmas is just another day.
“In the back of your mind you think about it, but there are no holidays in Iraq,” said Staff Sgt. Brandon Scott, a 35-year-old from Woodbridge, Va., and the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, which is part of the Army’s 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division.
A 16-year veteran of the Army, Scott said he was spending his third Christmas in four years away from his four children. “We don’t really have time for Christmas,” he said.

May GOD BLESS our military men and women and their families this holiday season! To those who serve and their families: know that you are loved and that we count you among our greatest blessings. You are America’s Christmas gift every day of the year. Merry Christmas!
Who said this?
Our strongest weapon in this war is that conviction of the dignity and the brotherhood of man, which Christmas Day signifies more than any other day, or any other symbol, against enemies who have preached the principles of hate and practiced them, we set our fate in human love and in God’s care in us and all men everywhere.
