I finally voted
Well, I had to wait until the Princess got out of her Brownies meeting today (she always goes with me to vote), but it’s done. Straight-ticket, baby! Surprisingly, the turnout has been strong in my precinct all day (according to the poll worker I spoke to)–surprisingly, because I’m in a very “safe” district, and Governor Bob Riley is expected to win re-election. It’s nothing like PA/VA/OH/MO here at all, so I kinda worried about turnout here.
I called my ex-husband this afternoon to ask him if he’d voted (he still lives in Virginia), and not only had he NOT voted, he was in farkin’ Atlanta and didn’t know he was going to be going to Atlanta until a couple days ago, so he didn’t get an absentee ballot! ARRGGGGHHHH!!! So I had to yell at him to call people he knows in Virginia and make DAMN sure they get out and vote for Allen. He said he would, but I’m sure as hell not holding my breath.
And get this: my sister moved out of state a couple months ago and didn’t register to vote there. My parents are out of the country on vacation, and didn’t bother with absentee ballots because of this being a safe district/state.
I’m not even paying attention to the news about the election today. I guess you could probably tell that, though, because I haven’t been posting shi’ite about it. If you want to keep up on that, Ali Bubba, Ace, Hot Air, and Malkin are all over it (lots of posts at each place), as are the Kostards and other moonbats. Malkin’s on Fox News right now, talking about the election being blogged.
Me? I just figure there’s no point in sweating it at this point–worrying isn’t going to change anything.

I mailed my absentee ballot a couple of weeks ago. Straight ticket. Voted to get rid of the judges who came up for a vote of retention. Everyone of them has done somethin’ to undermine the will of the people of Florida. Figured might as well clear ‘em out and try a new batch.

I live in Virginia and damn straight, I voted!!!
The race hasn’t been called yet but it does not look good for Allen.
It’s a damn shame.
In the “I love me” room, there is an autographed picture of my husband with James Webb circa 1988.
Prior to his run for the Senate, James Webb was one of those highly respected by the spouse. Now it’s just disbelief, disgust and contempt.
Webb had Clinton (who he refused to shake hands with in the past) and Sheehag campaigning for him.
That picture is bound for the trash.
