Moving in the right direction
I will be basically gone now until friday (I have to get up and be first in line to vote at 6am, then race to the airport to catch a plane), but my gut tells me our people are going to turn out, and theirs aren’t.
Recent polls have showed the Democrats’ nationwide lead narrowing, with one Washington Post-ABC News poll suggesting the gap had shrunk to 6 percentage points and a Pew Research Center poll suggesting the gap has narrowed to 4 percentage points from 11 percent two weeks ago, The Washington Post reported Monday.
Sounds like the fabled ’surge’ is happening again (or maybe the polls are utterly meaningless until a week before the election, which is the first time 75% of Americans even think about who they’ll vote for), and check out this little nugget:
Pew Research Center Director Andrew Kohut said the poll found that among likely voters, Republicans outnumber Democrats.
Fear not, said he, for mighty dread had seized their troubled minds.

I’ll be voting straight Republican; Talent, Akin et al. This isn’t the time to make futile statements. Worry not, I live 100 feet from my polling place. My flight’s not until 915am. Even given the stupid TSA bullshi’ite, I’ll make my flight with time to spare (although I got pulled out of the line at Heathrow last week, as boarding was closing…!!!).
