Across the midwest. I’m holed up in Saint Louie, watching freezing rain and sleet out the window. At least I’m not in Rolla, MO - they’re forecasting 18-20″ in the next 24……Jeez Louise!!
Yay! Ahem, ‘working from home’ tomorrow. I’ll get lots done.
Bwahahahahahaha!!
I’ll give my Blackberry the occasional glance to see if my boss is after me, other than that, not so much.
By the way, Islam is a twisted and evil death cult, and all its adherents are brainwashed, backward farktards.
Maybe you have already seen this
In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American
sentiment and negativity, we should remember England’s Prime Minister Tony
Blair’s words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his
Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said:
“A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in
… And how many want out. Only two defining forces have ever offered to
die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.”
UPDATE Apparentely the story is a little twisted. Someone added the last part. Snopes
Silly Islamofascist punks. LOL!
Now look at the hateful videos some (most?) of those members have. Hypocrites!
This is funny, though (click to enlarge):

I’m jealous!!!
Comments from national pundits and bloggers can incite violence and hate crimes, said Bedier, who came to the forum with a handout that featured a list of quotes that CAIR considers “anti-Muslim hate speech.”
The list included the words of commentators such as Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter, and religious figures such as Pat Robertson and the Rev. Billy Graham.
But it also included quotes from the Hogans and ultra-right-wing blogger Vilmar Tavares, who also lives in Hernando County and whose blog often includes anti-Muslim sentiments, Bedier said.
Vilmar!!! CAIR? HAHAHAHA!!!
So, they don’t consider it “free speech,” it’s “hate speech.” Waaahhh. Typical fascist bullshi’ite. Well, by CAIR’s standards (hell, by anyone’s standards!), I consider a lot of Muslim “free speech” to be “hate speech.” Explain that, Mr. Bedier. Explain the pathological hatred of teh Jooooooz! Explain the incessant ranting about the United States’ alliance with the free nation of Israel. Oh, I guess that doesn’t count, does it? OK, explain the “hate speech” in the Q’uran.
:sigh: I’m going back to sleep. I’m finding stuff to link to and write about, but I’m too tired/lazy to bother with it. I’ll try again later.
Beldar explains it all to us non-lawyers:
This decision was a battle won for the United States on the home front in the global war on terrorism. And it’s another fine example of how the mainstream media, led by the New York Times, is absolutely willing to let you be blown to bits by terrorists in order to protect your “right to know.”
[...]
Here it is in two sentences: The FBI was prevented from freezing terrorists’ assets and catching terrorists because somebody leaked what they were about to do to the New York Times, and the NYT proceeded to warn the terrorists themselves! Now the NYT says that because it was just promoting the “public’s right to know” and the First Amendment, its phone company should be immune from having to give evidence to permit a grand jury to decide whether any crimes were committed as part of this debacle.
Must read the whole thing, because this isn’t the last we’ll hear about it.
He’s got more today about the New York Times’ loose lips here. And as an aside, damn, I’m glad to see Beldar is back.

He’s got Rusty on right now, and they’re talking about…lesbian porn? LOL! TUNE IN!
Yay Vinnie!
Goddammit, I can’t even call in ’cause Rusty’s on the line with him!

Merriam-Webster Online, the electronic version of the venerable dictionary, announced on Monday that it will be determining the top ten “Words of the Year” for 2006 by a new method: an online poll.
In the past, Merriam-Webster has determined the year-end list by analyzing page hits and popular searches, but this year, it has opened up the field to suggestions from site visitors. A press release from the dictionary publisher has announced that visitors are “free to be creative” and that submissions that might not actually be in the dictionary are welcome.
Of all places to solicit the “word of the year,” they want suggestions from the internet?
Dirka dirka! I think I might have to put in a suggestion!
(Or maybe “truthiness?”)
UPDATE: Of course! Fauxtography, too!

Are you watching this on teevee? He’s meeting with the Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew at the Church of St. George now. It’s a beautiful ceremony! It’s on Fox now, but I’m gonna switch over to EWTN if they cut it off. I’m pretty much a cluetard about everything that’s going on, I mean as far as the theology goes, but there are a brazillion other blogs who know more about this. I’m going to follow The Anchoress around the internets to read all the smart Catholic blogs and Jim Geraghty, who’s in Turkey right now.
OK, cool–you can watch it on teh internets on EWTN, if you want to.
Meanwhile, The Religion of Peace responds.
I know, I know…you can check Wuzzadem every day too. Sue me.
A classified memorandum by President Bush’s national security adviser expressed serious doubts about whether Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki had the capacity to control the sectarian violence in Iraq and recommended that the United States take new steps to strengthen the Iraqi leader’s position.
The Nov. 8 memo was prepared for Mr. Bush and his top deputies by Stephen J. Hadley, the national security adviser, and senior aides on the staff of the National Security Council after a trip by Mr. Hadley to Baghdad.
And predictably, the leftards completely miss the point.
Hmmm. I wonder why the media would want to print a classified memo that expresses a lack of faith in Maliki? ‘Cause it sure seems like that might stir up tension between the Bush administration and the Iraqi government and the Iraqi people, y’know…
Wait! You think maybe if there’s enough of that sort of thing going on, Iraq might kick us out? Ya think??? So I can’t imagine why such a memo would be consider “all the news that’s fit to print!”
Memo to Michael G. and Pinch S.: Send my regards to your overlords in Teheran, wouldja?
She’s fine, but a few doubloons in the tip jar wouldn’t hurt, either.

BAGHDAD—U.S. troops stationed in Iraq hailed an unannounced and unaccompanied visit Monday from Barney, the senior White House dog who belongs to President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush.Landing in Baghdad’s Green Zone amid extremely tight security, the Scottish terrier met with nearly 800 troops at a military mess hall, then visited Camp Victory, the U.S. military headquarters on the outskirts of Baghdad. In both locations, the 6-year-old First Dog was greeted with loud cheers and standing ovations by servicemen and women.
“Barney’s visit really cheered us all up,” said Army Spc. Anthony Udall, who was given the privilege of escorting Barney across the airport tarmac. “I can’t tell you how great it is that the White House would send one of its own to spend some time with us out here.”
