You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.
I have no words…no, I HAVE words, but it could take me days to get all of them out. My head is spinning with all the things I have to say to John F–king Kerry. Whoops, I’ve already started. Better stop now. I’ll let Cassandra take it from here, since she said plenty.

After reading emails from readers/viewers at cnn.com I was so upset and angered that people cannot see the real issues and would rather almost live in a world of gossip and a pseudo soap opera rather than analyze things in a logical manner.
Kerry himself is a military and war veteran. WHY would he insult troops? Why would he do such a thing when he knows something like that would blow up in his face? He didn’t and the comment was a misread part of his prepared speach.
Anyways, I was a military police officer myself for 8 years and the funny thing is, there is LOTS of truth to his statement. There are MANY, MANY people in the military who are ignorant, uneducated, and ARE there because they had no other options.
Hasn’t it been talked about recently in the news that war is always fought on the shoulders of the poor and uneducated? Thats been said MANY times in recent months. Just because a congressman and former presidential candidate (whos isn’t even up for reelection now) said it a week before the an election, suddenly its all over the internet?
Thanks, I had to vent. My educated (high school teacher with masters) wife is currently in Iraq and she comments every time she calls, how ignorant people there are.
Oh BTW….per the DOD only 8.9% of enlisted military have any college experience as of fiscal year 2000 and most of them are officers (97% of officers have undergraduate degrees or higher).

I was a National Merit Scholar, but I didn’t finish college–and it wasn’t because my parents couldn’t afford it, either (I’ll bet that was your next ASSumption). They could probably buy your ass ten times over. I simply hated college, and still do. You wanna play, bring it on.
I was in the military for longer than you were (eleven years–and only 11 because I was medically retired), but I guess I’m not shi’ite ’cause I’m not “educated” like your wife is. Big farking deal. And you know what? Her comments about how “ignorant” people there are? If she means that like you throw it around, she’s just a farking arrogant asshole, like you are. All the education in the world doesn’t make you a better human being, y’know. And don’t think I’ll kiss her ass just because she’s in Iraq, either.
