Excuse the interruption from the flood of Kool-Aid for a minute so I can vent.
This election season might just permanently break the back of the stupid blogosphere, with the disgusting behaviour of the Demotards. First, you had the Lieberman in blackface racist crap from the Firedoglake goons posting at the disgusting Huffington Post (and subsequently being hired by the Lamont campaign!). Then, the hypocrisy surrounding that sicko Mark Foley (who’s apparently worse than Gerry Studds was, because Studds was a Democrat), then the cancer known as Mike “Gay Terrorist” Rogers, and now this vile rumor-mongering. And that’s just the big stories of which I’m aware. I’m not linking to any of the offenders; I’m sure it won’t take you but a quick Google search to find out all you care to know about the lies.
It’s not like people are going to think, “wow, lefty bloggers are nuts, but conservatives are reasonable.” It’s a pox on all political bloggers. They make all of us look like nasty liars and smear merchants. Right now, I wouldn’t dare tell people outside my own family that I’m a blogger. It’s embarrassing. Wait for the backlash. Hopefully, some of the backlash will go where it belongs–against the Democrats, since they feed from and empower those execrable bloggers.
