Israel isn’t remotely phased by the latest hot-air-fest going on in the feeble corridors of European power.

BEIRUT, Lebanon Jul 15, 2006 (AP)— Waves of warplanes thundering through the darkness bombed Beirut’s southern suburbs for hours early Sunday, a day after Israel stepped up its air strikes and tightened a noose around this reeling nation.

‘Reeling’ due to their idiotic, supine loyalty to Hizb’Allah (I think that’s the literal translation of ‘Party of God’, but really, who cares?).

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad again condemned Israel’s Lebanon offensive Saturday, telling Tehran’s state television, “The Zionist regime behaves like Hitler.”

Hitler is his farking hero, so presumably his remarks are complimentary. Tel Aviv to Teheran: You’re next.

Try not to laugh:

But moderates led by Saudi Arabia, bickering with Syria and other backers of Hezbollah, denounced the Lebanese guerrilla group’s actions in provoking the latest conflict.

The Saudis are ‘moderate’ in this matter inasmuch as they can see which way this is going: Hamas and Hizb’Allah are about to get an object farking lesson in schoolyard realities - he with the biggest stick, wins.

The seaport is adjacent to downtown Beirut, a district rebuilt at a cost of billions of dollars after the 1975-1990 civil war.
