Bellsouth DSL SUCKS, etc.

I’ve just spent the last hour trying to get barely enough of a connection to the internets to post something, and now I am just going to say farkit. I’ll post something later of substance when things are working better and I don’t have to pull my hair out to link to other stuff.
(PLEASE don’t tell me to get cable; I tried it and it doesn’t work (long story). This and dial-up are my only options. I’m not asking for suggestions, thanks.)
Random thoughts:
Can’t link to shi’ite, but Japan’s PM Koizumi has a new fan in me. I’m not a big Elvis fan–I used to have a bumper sticker that had his face on it, captioned with “I’m Dead.” And my appreciation for kitsch means I have a refrigerator magnet with the Nixon-Elvis picture. But Koizumi’s unabashed love for something so quintessentially AMERICAN just won me over. How can you not adore a guy who’s so unself-conscious? It’s part of the reason why I think Bush is cool–he’s not self-conscious, not full of himself. Very cool, PM Koizumi, you have a new fan. It’s funny how just a couple generations ago we were at war with Japan, and now they’re one of our greatest allies.
The news about John Couey pisses me off. Those cops who screwed up ought to be shot. OK, not shot, but you know what I mean–I’m hella pissed. I can’t imagine Couey’s going to get off completely, but if he does, I fully support vigilante justice for him. Bury that piece of shi’ite alive–it’s a more just sentence for him, anyway.
Finally, in Islamotard news: they still suck. What else is there to say? Every single day there’s some bullshi’ite out of them. I expect Osama bin Laden will be making YouTube videos one of these days for the little jihadi kiddies on there. Anyone else think bin Laden has been putting out more crap lately because he “needs” to keep his retarded goat-farking mujaheddin motivated?
If you want something else to read, since I’m not even going to bother trying to click anything right now on my blogroll, go down to my blogroll, hit the Cotillion one, and check out my buds. There’s even a public Bloglines link in there to make it easy. I know they’re talking about all the stuff going on, because for a few minutes some of my email came in OK (I gave up after it got hung up).
OK, crossing my fingers now to see if this will actually post….:roll:

I too have bellsouth. I’ve not had any problems here in Memphis. Sorry you have.
Haven’t been keeping up with our “visitors” here in Memphis. I was just worried how traffic would be affected. I live about 1.5 miles from Graceland. Never been though. Rondezvous is not my favorite BBQ place. There are better places in Memphis. Most locals prefer to go eleswhere. Downtown is not a place people want to go, too much crime.
Hope you get some relief from Bellsouth.

I have dsl… 512bps, its not too bad… I would love to talk the better half into getting cable modem… every time we lose phone service … there goes our net too. Secretly I am hoping for the lines to get cut again :mrgreen: That will push her over the edge for cable… woohoo T1 here I come!
Anyways, I love what Israel is doing… I hoe they just get a wild hair up their bumms and just take care of the situation and push them all into the water desert or blown to smitherinse… whichever comes first. then tell the UN to just piss off and invite any other arsehole to join the ranks of pathetic whineystines.

I have always experienced constant problems with Bellsouth DSL. Alltel is not much better. They constantly cause issues with static IP banks.

You are correct BS DSL DOES suck. Had cable before and just moved, not available here. I’m ready to move back just becasue of the sucky internet options and connections
