Jesse MacBeth’s Friends: IVAW, Lying Dirtbags

First off, a lot of people are expressing a measure of pity or sympathy for this assclown Jesse MacBeth. I’m sorry, but I don’t. Not when he’s furiously digging his hole deeper all on his own. He is undoubtedly mentally ill, but my sympathy/pity only extends so far. If he were mentally retarded, yes; but barring that, he does bear some responsibility for his actions.

However, I can’t believe this could ever conceivably be called an isolated incident, even if you discount the comments at Q&O by his “half-sister,” who said:

[...]My brother went to army boot camp but got kicked out after four weeks for an inability to adapt to military life and was sent to a mental hospital in Georgia.

We grew up in the Arizona foster care system. Our mother is schizophrenic, a drug addict, and very abusive. Jesse spent the majority of his childhood in mental hospitals.

My brother is mentally ill. I don’t know where my cute little baby brother went or how he got replaced by this scary monster. I don’t know how to help him, so I had to stop contact with him all together.

At least now, maybe he’ll be forced to get some help and get back on his medication.

In light of the DD214, she story seems legit. But even if you discount it, just his deranged persistence in keeping this charade going and his repeated self-contradictions say enough.

The point? Easy. How could the IVAW not see this? If they’re veterans themselves, how could they NOT know he’s a fraud? Do they turn a blind eye to the obvious for the sake of their seditious cause, or are they just not veterans either? It took little more than a glance at any of this stuff–the video, the DD214–to see it’s fake, and it didn’t take Rangers to figure it out. So what the hell is the deal with them?

Their answer?

Questions have been raised about Jesse MacBeth and his claims of service in Iraq. MacBeth came to Iraq Veterans Against the War in January 2006 asking for help, and the organization and its members extended itself to help him in various ways. Assisting veterans is one of the founding principles of IVAW and it is a mission that we take seriously. After looking into his recent claims, we have learned that Jesse is not what he represented himself to be. Accordingly, IVAW does not in any way endorse Jesse MacBeth or any of his accounts involving military service. He — and he alone — is responsible for them. IVAW was not aware of the creation of the video program featuring MacBeth, and did not authorize use of our logo in the program.

BULL CRAP. As I said, they’re either lying (ignoring the obvious, exploiting him, and now lying about it) or clueless (as in, wouldn’t know due to their own veteran status, or lack thereof). It’s as simple as that, folks, and either is inexcusable. Anything goes with these people; the ends always justify the means.

These are the scum that are fueling the debate on the war in this country, and people believe them. I’m not interested in Jesse MacPsycho any more; I want IVAW (and that half-assed “Peacefilms,” but they’re pissants) taken DOWN. Their fraudulent organization and cause doesn’t deserve a public voice. Jesse’s not the first (remember Micah Wright? Jimmy Massey?–yep, IVAW), and you can bet he won’t be the last, as long as they can get away with it.

Think about it: How about some of us start up an organization like “Quakers for the War” (or something with the illusion of credibility on the other side) and let anyone in who says they’re a Quaker? Can you imagine how fast that would be swarmed by the left to find inconsistencies? All this time IVAW has, incredibly, been given a pass because nobody wants to question people’s veteran status. Well, too bad. IVAW should be put under that kind of scrutiny. If they have a message, they’d better make damn sure their members aren’t liars. Of course, we know their message is bullshi’ite anyway, but they’re given special status–credibility–because they’re veterans, just like the Cindy Sheehans are given a voice because they’re Gold Star mothers. People listen to them, much more than plain old naive college kids or the graying hippie leftovers from the Vietnam-era antiwar movement, and even more than the knee-jerk partisan politicians on the left.

And now IVAW wants to be totally distanced from Jesse MacBeth. Not when he was useful to them, though. Their statement mentions his “recent claims”–what, the claims that he was a Ranger or the claims about “Operation Iraqi Slaughter?” I know damn good and well that had Jesse not been caught, they’d be cheering for that stupid video just like Indymedia and the other idiotarians on the left did. And they claim they just now figured out he’s a fraud. Bullshi’ite, bullshi’ite, bullshi’ite. He wasn’t a stranger to them, but “he — and he alone — is responsible,” despite having been a representative of IVAW. He may not have been in the movie, but he sure has been a voice for them other times.
