I almost puked as I watched the anti-war moonbats cutting and running from somebody, who, if his story was true, would’ve been the poster boy of the movement. As it stands, the VA will soon have a Federal Warrant on him:
This isn’t so much about Jesse Macbeth as it is about the importance of outing people like Jesse Macbeth.
We just observed Memorial Day, where we say thanks to those who’ve sacrified their lives in military service to their country. And we say thank you on Veteran’s Day, to those living veterans who’ve served their country. Another thing we do as thanks for their service is provide benefits for service connected illnesses and disability (along with other promised benefits). As you can imagine, there aren’t unlimited funds for these benefits so the care is prioritized and given to those in the most need. Unfortunately, it is also a target of fraud.
Jesse Macbeth is one of those fake veterans who allegedly tried to defraud the VA system.
Wow. Anti-war Speacial Ferces Ranger Qualifyed SEAL Jesse is a liar. Wow. The shock. The awe.
Can anybody, please, just help explain to me how it’s so easy to get a story so ridiculously easy to check out right? This is not Haditha, people. It took MilBloggers and kinda-MilBloggers like us about 12 hours to debunk everything - EVERYTHING - this clown said. And you see the deluge of IVAW support ’round here, don’t ya? I pointed one of their brave ranks to come forward and defend his cause….and nothing….
Whenever you bring the US military in on something we don’t take sides; we take over. While the world is waiting with baited breath for the latest about the “alleged atrocities” in Haditha, you will probably miss how Marines are providing help in Indonesia.
“They’re delivering aid and medical equipment? That won’t sell papers. What’s blowing up?”
It’s amazing, to me, how it happens, over and over and over again, how people think they can beat the military at it’s own game. If there’s anything that John Kerry had taught us, it’s that some people are too dumb to know when to quit. Not that I’m complaining or anything, it’s easy targets like this that get the creative juices flowing.
It’s that lack of common sense that makes the revenge so sweet. Now there’s word that Michael Moore is getting his fat butt sued. Yeah, for lying. Hey, you catching a pattern here? Perhaps, you know it would be a good idea not to make stuff up about the military. I know it’s tempting, but it never seems to work out for ya, do it?
But never let a chance to denigrate our military pass. After hearing about Ex-Marine John Murtha’s disgraceful gun-jumping (and what he should say), it’s gotten a little hotter here in OUR Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. While I’m going to reserve further comment on this until there’s actually something to report, it’s just sad to watch the feeding frenzy, regardless of the calendar day. When the story gets vetted, we will have the facts, and not just blogger reactionary statements.
And, lastly, QUAGMIRE!!! *
Ace provided me with most of this blog fodder.
UPDATE: My patented 2-second-after-I-hit-Publish Update™ from Gateway Pundit: In Iraq, It’s Only a “Massacre” When It Involves Marines and So, How Bad Are Things in Iraq Really?. Just wanted to show how much I trust reporters. Like Uncle Jimbo (kidding).
UPDATE 2: The American Princess: You Will Never Have My Lai.
UPDATE 3: How could I get through one post without linking to Sweetness & Light? I can’t. I just can’t do it. There may be a reason for this: What Google Considers News Sources For Haditha. Ow.
I’m just waiting to hear from a wise friend of mine before I unleash the dogs of war on this bullshi’ite idiotarian-driven Haditha story. In the meantime, while I try to compose myself before I end up committing blog suicide because of the Stupidity of the Internets, enjoy these links (I demand it!):
And of course, Martin and Vinnie’s posts, immediately preceding this one. Like Martin, I’m not ready to say much more yet without spitting out a bunch of obscenities. Short version: if (ignorant) people are going to stupidly try and prosecute this (and prematurely sentence them!) in the media and on the internets, I intend on speaking for the defense. But I’ll do it when I’m not quite so disgusted and pissed off at the Blogosphere Blowhards™. When I see blog diarrhea like the Marines should be “hanged” or put in front of “a firing squad,” especially from my own side, my blood boils.
As for me, I still believe in the idea of “innocent until proven guilty.” I also think those who defend America definitely deserve to enjoy those rights. To hell with this “fair and balanced” mother-hen bloviating from the armchair judges and juries on the internets, and the Time magazine asshats can burn in hell for feeding the enemy propaganda like Newsweek did.
I might not be a Marine, but I’ll still say this: SEMPER FI.
Tags: Haditha, Murtha, idiotarians, blowhards, blogosphere, the blogosphere sucks, i hate the blogosphere, internet know-it-alls, UCMJ, USMC, Marines, the fog of war, enemy propaganda, Time, Newsweek, Ilario Pantano
I’m leaving most of what needs to be said on this topic unsaid.
My disgust for the preening, posturing, pious right side of the blogosphere cannot be easily expressed.
So let me just say the following. No links. No trackbacks. Just me.
1) We don’t know what happened in Haditha. Not me, not you, not Michelle Malkin. We don’t yet know.
2) When we do, we should, and no doubt will, react as necessary.
3) Nobody needs to state that those guilty of crimes should be punished. Not me, not you, not Michelle Malkin. It’s self-righteous posturing.
4) Haditha isn’t Charleston, South Carolina. It’s an ‘insurgent citadel’. Google the quote and see who reports it. You’ll get the shock of a farking lifetime.
5) We’re fighting a war. A nasty brutal war.
6) People die in wars. Innocents together with combatants.
7) When enemy combatants hide among the innocent, more innocents will necessarily die. We still need to kill the enemy to win the war. Winning the war is more important than protecting innocents. Sorry about that.
That’s all I can say without descending into a torrent of foul-mouthed abuse directed against putative allies. I won’t do that.

The investigations are still ongoing. That’s not an excuse to ignore or dismiss the extensive reporting on the story.
She’s right, it’s not an excuse. It’s a reason to ignore or dismiss the extensive reporting on the story.
Yes, it’s mostly one-sided at this point.
Not according to my blogroll. And I have a mighty big blogroll.
But if, if, even a fraction of it is true, it deserves the most vehement condemnation and most severe punishment.
A fraction? What’s a fraction of the truth? A half truth? Which is a lie, according to most definitions.
Toddlers are dead.
This toddler? Or is it this one? What about this toddler? Then we have this toddler who died too.
As much as the Left’s glee over this story distresses me, it doesn’t compare to my dismay at the Right’s attempts to cover it’s ass before the fact.
By rushing to get ahead of the curve, relying on leaks from anonymous sources and various press accounts, the people saying “if this is true, and it seems it is, they should hang” are doing as much damage to the war effort as the Left.
But they’ll celebrate, as I do, the Greatest Generation. The one that interned Japanese, nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki (toddlers are dead, people), firebombed Dresden and Tokyo, invented the flamethrower, Napalm, White Phosphorous, and various and sundry other horrific ways to kill people.
We correctly laud these things as having been necessary in order to protect our United States, but, the fact is, each of these killled many civilians. And we sanctioned it, and have accepted it for decades.
Such is war.
Yes, let’s those of us who weren’t there, and never will be, flagellate ourselves over this, without any charges, or Court Martials even being brought. Let’s make sure we don’t give the Left any excuse to criticize us for not speaking out against it.
Because that’s what the Right is doing. Making sure they get in a fraction of condemnation before the Left has a chance to jump on them for not doing so. Because, see, we always have to take the high road. Show them how better we are than they are.
Screw ‘em. I don’t have to pillory the Marines preemptively to prove I’m better than the moonbats. They’ve pilloried themselves on this subject quite well already.
So until someone ponies up the fact that Iraqi men, women, and children were lined up against a wall and executed, I’ll reserve my judgment on the issue.
Until the truth comes out, shut the hell up about Haditha. Somewhere, Khomeini is smiling.
Wictory Wednesday: Mike McGavick for United States Senate for the State of Washington
Mike McGavick has been running an insurgent campaign against incumbent Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell. Bucking the trend against the GOP nationally, Mike has closed the gap between his Democratic competitor to within 5 percentage points in the last Rasmussen Reports poll. Last November, he was trailing by 15 percentage points.
Mike is a solid conservative who understands the necessity of fighting the war on terror and on regulating the flow of immigration at the border. There is a difference between welcoming immigrants in an orderly way and having a wide-open border that is open to exploitation.
On health care, Mike realizes that the problem with health care is not that it is run by insurance companies, but that there are too many middlemen that leave the consumer out of the loop. Insurance companies are paid by companies who provide benefits to their employees. Those companies want to keep costs low so they pick one vendor and offer two plans to their employees: lower premium lower benefit plans with vendor A, or higher benefit higher benefit plans with vendor A. The needs of the consumer are only indirectly represented to the insurance company… if at all. The hospitals and doctors are paid by the insurance companies. Hospitals collect less than 30% of bills that are sent to consumers without insurance (or after their insurance has paid only part). Hospitals will therefore cater to the insurance companies that pay the bills. The solution is to put the consumer in the driver seat when dealing with their healthcare, not remove them even farther by having the government run the show.
Lastly, he’s for real fiscal conservativism. He knows that tax dollars isn’t monopoly money, but money to which he is a steward, not an owner. We can count on him to support common-sense reforms to the tax-and-spend habits that have plagued Congress lately.
Please consider taking a look at Mike McGavick’s website and supporting his campaign.

Somebody keep Beth away from the keyboard, and beverages, or firearms for just a minute, before you look at this last one:
Ugh, I’m wiped out. I had to go to hell today. Some people call it “Walmart.”
Question: what the FARK are some people thinking when they get dressed? I need to upgrade my cell phone to have a camera so I can start snapping pictures of these fashion felons. I mean APPALLING choices in dressing. Inexcusable. And some of these people aren’t that bad-looking, but their presentation is just an assault on my eyes. Bathe. Wash and brush hair. Ladies: lipstick, while optional, works wonders all by itself if used properly. Match clothes, preferably clean ones. Make sure your pants aren’t ready for a flood. No t-shirts saying “Baby Girl” on anyone over the age of two, especially adults. High-waisted jeans look ridiculous, especially when ill-fitting and with a too-small cheap $3 t-shirt TUCKED IN. Men: it’s not a crime to wash your faces. Take off your stupid, dirty trucker hat, too–you actually do not need to wear a hat indoors, and especially not backwards.
Other than my daughter and me, OF COURSE (ha!), the best-dressed people in Walmart were the people wearing hospital scrubs or Walmart “uniforms.”
If anyone remembers Bob Newhart’s show, Newhart, you remember the time Stephanie and Michael went around the mall issuing citations for fashion violations? That’s what today felt like.
I couldn’t give two shi’ites about whatever of Walmart that the stupid leftards hate; it’s the Walmart shoppers that make my head hurt.
When I grow up, my big-box store is going to have a dress/personal hygiene code.

A View to An Uzz: Memorial Day 2006 In Pictures
Monday morning found Mini-Uzz, my mother and myself in Rosemound Cemetery in Waco to honor those who have fought for our many freedoms that we all take for granted. Rosemound is where my father is buried, along with hundreds of veterans of many wars…
…
There were those from more recent conflicts, like this veteran of Desert Storm, who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with other vets from other wars and from other branches of our amazing Armed Services…good natured rivalry between branches is normal, but this day they stood as one.
There were those from older wars…wars that spilled so much blood that most of them will not even speak of those times even to their own families. My father fought in WWII and the Korean War and rarely ever spoke of the horrors he saw at D-Day, the Battle of the Bulge and his capture in Belgium…and later he was sent to help cleanup in Japan…
I quote this story in it’s entirety:
MADINAH, 30 May 2006 — Members of the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice received a call of a suspected African “sorceress” in the holy city’s Al-Seeh neighborhood. Members of the committee along with police went to the suspected den of the black arts to find a naked African woman. Embarrassed about busting into an apartment containing a naked woman, police paused just long enough for the woman to attempt an escape, still naked, through the window of her flat. Police followed in pursuit to discover that the woman had crashed through the ceiling of the neighbor’s flimsy house and landed on the floor next to a bed of sleeping children. The woman was arrested, but not before she was provided some dignity in the form of clothing.
Yes, it’s from Arab News. Where else would you get your naked sorcerous news?
From Grey Eagle, serving in Iraq:
I am no longer bothered by hate email. I vision someone waking up after 8 hours of sleep, then after breakfast, kissing their spouse good-bye for the day, then after the privacy of the bathroom pouring a fresh cup of coffee, turning on CNN for background noise and sitting down in a comfortable chair at their desk in their home to write me that I shouldn’t be here.
OK, first, if any farktards are lurking here who do this kind of shi’ite–sending hate mail to soldiers in Iraq–drop dead.
And if you (sadly) don’t drop dead and still feel compelled to send hate mail, send it to me instead. I support the troops and the war but I’m not over there. Wouldn’t that be more appropriate?
But really, she’s right. It’s easy to be a jackass from one’s own comfortable surroundings at home. They just don’t get it, and it’s worthy of nothing but ridicule.
This made me laugh:
For all the sex that I as a female soldier is accused of having, you would think I would be a much happier person.
HA! No kidding! Anyone who’s worn a uniform knows what this is about–it’s the meme that won’t die. Even the most hideous creatures are thought to be screwing around, especially with people’s husbands. To those young women (it’s usually the younger ones) who are married or attached to someone in the military: they/we (since I’m retired) aren’t that chick. Quit worrying. You’re putting a totally unnecessary burden on your own loved one, and besides, accusing military women of screwing around kinda makes people think you would do just that if you were in their position. Projection, anyone? Also, if you’re serving, please don’t accuse your fellow soldiers of this shi’ite. It only disrupts morale and causes problems. I know I’m spitting in the wind saying so ’cause it’ll never change, but I have to say it. It’s bullshi’ite.
Hooah, Grey Eagle!
Go read her wonderful blog and blogroll/bookmark it!
Summer hours at MVRWC are in effect–which means no more 6am posting, at least from me!
I just have a simple message for those who serve on this Memorial Day.
To those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan today (and yesterday), “thank you” never seems like enough. I wish more than anything that I could be there right alongside you, fighting for you. I want you to know that although I can’t, I haven’t lived through what you have, and I haven’t shared your losses, I know that you fight not just for some greater concept of freedom, but for those who fight alongside you. I know you want the war to end, but when the mission is complete–and the sooner the better. I hope you know how deeply we do appreciate what you do, even though you sometimes wonder about that, and may say to yourselves “do these people deserve it?” even though you know they do, despite their not knowing the difference. It’s because of your sacrifices that so many are able to be blissfully unaware–overly concerned with American Idol, or obsessing over trivialities, or sitting at our computers yammering about proper military strategy, or protesting a war about which they know or care very little. I know that after what you’ve seen, what you’ve done, you think “how can they just wander around cluelessly doing the same old thing like that?” It’s because you have given us all the luxury of living our normal American lives without disruption. We don’t have a draft, we don’t have rationing or any of the other things Joe Civilian had to do in earlier wars. For that, we are incredibly blessed, even as it has meant you’ve had to sacrifice even more.
So while “thank you” never seems like enough to say to you and to those who have lost loved ones and friends, I don’t know what else to say–except may G-d bless you and your friends and families and keep you safe.

From my Congressman, Jo Bonner:
Regardless of how you and your family choose to recognize this Memorial Day, I hope each of you will take a moment to remember some of south Alabama’s own sons and daughters who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defending liberty around the globe, particularly those who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan:
Requiescat in pace. God bless their loved ones, and may they know how much their sacrifice means to us–not just on one day a year, but on every day of our lives.
