Oceanside Unified School District to America: F–k You
Beginning Monday, the Oceanside Unified School District is banning all flags and patriotic clothing. According to school officials, some students are using the garments and flags to taunt classmates.
Banning flags and patriotic clothing?
“The school has to be able to show a strong likelihood that there is going to material and substantial disruption of school, and if they don’t meet that standard, then they can’t censor student speech,” said Kevin Neenan of the ACLU.
In related news, hell just froze over. OK, I’ll give the ACLU credit for actually not being on the wrong side of the issue for once (don’t worry, they’ll be using this as an excuse to wear Hamas garb in the classroom next).
“To me, it’s everything,” said Brentlinger “I mean, like I said — we truly live in the greatest country in the world.”
Brentlinger said he was shocked on Tuesday when marching immigration-reform protesters tore down the flag outside his business.
“Some of them just grabbed the flag, and pulled it off its aluminum pole, and it got ripped,” said Brentlinger.
Brentlinger told NBC 7/39 that he put up a new flag the next day.
“Some protesters drove up in their car and snagged the flag from our building and took off,” said Brentlinger. “I was extremely, extremely upset. I mean, it was just … insulting is the word.”
Y’know what? FARK THAT. These motherfarkers saying THE AMERICAN FLAG in AMERICA is “disruptive” or “offensive” can kiss my American ass. I’ve said little about the whole immigration issue because I’ve felt all along that the rhetoric has been WAY over the top. But if this shi’ite is going to be an issue–being a proud American in America–then fark them. I’ve got rhetoric to make their eyes and ears bleed.
Here’s an idea: if you can’t display a flag, why not roll it up and snap these farktards in the face with it? I’ve got all kinds of “disruptive” ideas for them.
FARK YOU, OUSD. F–k you, Aztlan. F–k you, idiotarian protestors. The “build a wall” people will thank you for building support for them.

To prevent disruption of instruction or school operations, no students may bring or wear items that could be disruptive, including clothing, face paint, signs, placards, or flags, all of which were contributing factors to last week’s disruptive behavior. American flags are already positioned in every classroom and on each school’s flag pole. Any of these objects brought to school by students and not issued to a student by a school official will be confiscated, placed in the office, and returned to the student after school.
EXCUSE ME, but how is an American flag supposed to be “disruptive?” Last time I checked, nobody was cutting school just to go march in the streets to wave the AMERICAN flag, you asshole.

UPDATE: Heh. Noonan has an update. He changed the policy and now CLAIMS it’s consistent, but it completely contradicts his previous one. What a jerk. Oh well, at least he’s backed down under pressure.

Carrie, that SUCKS. Y’know, it seems like more often than not, military bases are in shi’ite school districts. In DC, they bus the kids from the bases all over town because of it. If there’s no school on base, the kids always get screwed one way or another.

Omigod! I don’t care for flags, I’m a “whole earth flag” person. I even have friends who are Mexican Americans. But this pisses me off! Who are they to tell Americans they aren’t allowed to have an American flag in an American school. What’s that old saying “America Love It Or Leave It”. They come here and take jobs from Americans, they’re coddled like no other group of immigrants, hey, if you’re Chinese or Indonesian, you have to learn to speak English. They trash parks and beaches, don’t respect the laws. I can imagine if a bunch of Afro Americans lit up the beach with fireworks breaking Long Beach’s ordinance, leaving the debris behind, along with the ditry diapers, food wrappers and such, would get away with it. They’d probably have the National Guard to shoot the ones that aren’t arrested. My ansestes are immigrants, but they did come here legally and paid for their own medical expenses and weren’t given food stamps, housing and all the other benefits legal tax paying citizens are given. The notion that we should corral all the protesters and ship them off to Mexico is exactly what the right-wingers and rednecks were saying about the African American protesters in the 50s.
