My SCOTUS thoughts here and here.
I didn’t cross post them because Beth would be very angry if I linked to Kos from here.
I didn’t cross post at home, either, because I found something more interesting you should read.
Deranged Islamofascists may issue fatwas at the original post. But they won’t, they’re pussies.

If I were an outraged muslim, I’d consider shutting up about now.
After all, you bomb our churches, and in return we make cartoons.
And crummy photoshops.

If you don’t like these depictions of your exalted pedophile prophet-pimp, wait and see what happens when we really get pissed off.
You talk tough in the comments section, so come on, beeyotches, give me a real fatwa. You sissies.

Many of you will catch that joke, but it’s becoming more and more a reality when dealing with Senator John Kerry (D-MA). After losing the Presidential election in 2004, he’s been on a tear of losing. The latest in the string of defeats being that really good job he did getting that whole “filibuster” thing going, as described by Matt Margolis at Blogs for Bush:
John Kerry’s failure to convince his fellow Democrats to filibuster the nomination of Samuel Alito proves once and for all his irrelevency politics. It wasn’t too long ago when he was his party’s presidential nominee, and now he doesn’t have the clout to get 40 of his colleagues to join him in a filibuster, which, if you believed his rhetoric, would have prevented return of segregation, slavery, and the deaths of hundreds of thousands of women.
No, it didn’t happen. A mere 25 voted to sustain a filibuster. Just like Ohio in November 2004, Kerry didn’t have the votes. The moment Kerry’s filibuster failed so handily was the moment his political career got flushed down the toilet. John Kerry may not be ruling out another presidential run in 2008, but his party certainly ruled it out for him.
Perhaps now he’ll have to take care of that “I’ll release my 180″ thing. No? As Ed Morrissey puts it at Captain’s Quarters (Warning: hilarious picture alert!):
You’re a former presidential candidate from one of the major political parties and a member of the Senate. You’ve called for a party-line vote on a major issue against the opposition, investing your reputation and your credibility into the effort. However, you can only convince half of your caucus to vote with you, and even half of those tell reporters what a stupid idea it was from the outset. What happens afterwards?
Kerry: Am I done?
Yes, Senator, you’re done. We only wish you’d realize it.
This was originally supposed to be a gloatfest over how the Supreme Court is now going to be packed chock-full of ultra-right-wing conservative extremists who will discriminate and take away our rights and force everybody to worship Jesus and no more drinking or smoking or fun or staying out late or lighting up or snorting something. This IS how Hitler started, you know. Fascists.
Heh.
UPDATE: IMAO says what I wish I had.
UPDATE 2: More on from the fish in the barrel from Right Wing Nation. (Yes, I take requests)
For the record, here’s the vote, with who voted fer what (kinda not surprising 58-42):

It’s a good feeling when justice wins over partisan politics, isn’t it?
And I think I’m going to take a pass on watching the hysteria and mental breakdowns by the alarmist lunatics on the Left, although it would be amusing. Hey Lefty, is this going to be the “final straw” for you, the apocalypse that makes you finally decide to move to another country? Or check into a mental institution? Please? Heh. “Screw ‘em.”
(Smell the bait for moonbattery at the Washington Post with an AP report, naturally.)

Not that I claim to be any sort of “domestic goddess” (heh) but Right Girl’s got the goods. It’s a must-read for everyone, not really necessarily for aspiring domestic goddesses!
Yes, I will be checking to make sure you click over to read it, dammit! GO READ! (Or else!)
UPDATE (already): I almost forgot–while you’re there, how about hitting her tip jar? RightGirl is trying to raise money to go, as she says, “to CPAC, so I can learn how to save this crazy country of mine” (Canada). How about it, y’all?
I found this at The Political Teen Expose the Left, via email from Smokey (a.k.a. Mr. Quiz?), and I had to upload it to Google Video.
Janet Reno sings “Respect,” and it’s…sad? Funny? Pitiful? You decide:
Apparently someone thinks she’s hot:
Kinda Disturbing?
Oh, hell, I can’t resist. Take this death test (again, via Smokey).

There’s this leftie group that’s out to get Chris Matthews for his “right-wing” bias (no, really) and they are trying to get some kind of boycott of MSNBC. What’s hilarious is the website they made up, but tonight Open Letter To Chris Matthews just proved how “out-of-touch-with-reality” they are: Chris Matthews accuses Sen. Kennedy of molesting Judge Alito’s wife. Uh, wanna see how that works out?
MATTHEWS: …won’t they say something up beat and (bucking up)… isn’t she a great woman, didn’t she stand up-and then they’ll put the camera right on Ted Kennedy and show how he was the guy that molested her basically-that’s the way they’ll play it…
That’s the transcript. Now, in journalism classes, we learn something about quoting people. In that class, I learned that sometimes people use colloquialisms, or language to imply something else, using other words. Perhaps a euphemism.
They also told me that when said colloquialism or euphemism comes up, you put it in quotes. Notice something about the words I highlighted? Obviously, Chris Matthews was not saying that Kennedy “pester[ed] or harass[ed] (someone), typically in an aggressive or persistent manner…” Oh, wait, yes he did.
Regardless, where the sexual connotation implied, then the use of the quote-marks was justified. According to that transcript, they weren’t. They need to clarify, in the article, either Matthews was using the proper sense of the word “molest,” or was using the colloquial meaning to sexually abuse another person, usually a woman. I don’t expect a clarification, because that would remove all that cool rantiness from their baseless attack.
Now, I’m going to have to stop you if you think I’m jumping on the Ultra-Conservative Chris Matthews bandwagon. He’s a liberal, a Liberal, a “Liberal” and everything in-between. Watching these people twist in the wind amuses me to no end, especially when they are so blatantly wrong.
Some reporter guy and a cameraman got blown up.
Big deal.
I’m sure Chuck’s waiting on pins and needles, hanging on every bit of new information.
UPDATE: Okay, I take it back.
I don’t know if it was Chris totally missing the point, or because I’m in a rare, foul mood, but seeing CNN’s Xtian Amanpour say “the Iraq War has been a disaster” and whining incessantly about how this one, little, isolated incident (2000+ you’ve really had a hard time relating to) is any different, or remarkable amazes me. Just….amazes me.
I actually found Chris’ post from According to Iggert, who said this:
Chris from Two Babes and a Brain draws attention to what seems to be a classic drag out the soldiers to be used for political purposes stunt.
I’d like to add that it’s very sad that people seek the most negative in such tragedy. I personally saw it to be a way of humanizing what’s going on in Iraq and shine focus on how difficult the conditions are for our soldiers.
It’s been proven time and again that many people will not associate with some things unless it’s happening in their own backyard or to people they are close to. So did anyone of those who are exploiting the situation consider - that by drawing attention to what Bob Woodruff and Doug Vogt are going through - it might just be a way of bring Iraq a little closer to the backyards of those who don’t or have not been able to relate to the war?
At which point, the part I emphasized messes up Iggy’s argument. IT’S THE JOURNALISTS THAT ARE GOING THROUGH THIS!!! You know, the people that, somehow, for the first 4 or so years missed out on how tragedy affects the lives of the people involved. But before you think the lump of coal where my heart should be is totally against the compassion towards the families and the journalists themselves, Iggy says it best this way:
Regardless of who the victims are, where they are from or what purpose they have there, my heart goes out to each one.
It’s something that’s rarely showcased. The compassion for those who have lost so much. I hope the Iggy is right, and the coverage of the war and those wounded in it can now be shown with a little more humanism, and we give their families and the soldiers, sailer, airmen and Marines the respect they deserve. And people like that moonbat Amanpour learn how to care for the military personnel as much as their beloved cohorts.
MORE, MORE: More Amanpour. At NewsBusters.org
I’m just too damned aggravated to even bother writing about how much I loathe these sick pedophile-worshipping swine. Take that as my commentary on the following:
* “Number Two” (Number One Loser?) from Al Qaeda, Shi’itestain Zawahiri, spewed some crap that was broadcast on Al Jazeera today. Walid Phares does a fecal extraction from it and serves it up in English, with analysis. (Once again, the idiotarian media fights the battles for the terrorists right here at home. Thanks, assholes!)
* Ignorant Islamofarktard fascist swine “demonstrate” against Denmark because of a newspaper publishing a cartoon in the Danish press. I have to wonder, what would they do if someone decided to do some “art” called “Piss Mohammed?” Would they just get angry and offended, or would they murder the artist, just like Christians did because of “Piss Christ?” Oh yeah, I forgot! No they didn’t. That was a Muslim after the film “Submission.” Heh. So now they’re openly hostile to the Danish throughout the Islamic world and Eurabia, because the Danish didn’t behave like GOOD dhimmis. They want to boycott Denmark? Fine. I’ll buy American AND Danish. More from the Rott, here and here–because they’re spitting mad, too.

al-Reuters “reports”:
The Republican-led Senate on Monday defeated a Democratic bid to block Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito — clearing the way for confirmation of the 55-year-old conservative who could move the high court to the right.
The needed 60 votes were mustered in the 100-member Senate to approve a motion to end debate on President Bush’s nominee. A confirmation vote is set for Tuesday. Alito has a commitment from a required simple majority to be approved.
A conservative federal appeals judge since 1990, Alito would replace the more moderate Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. O’Connor, who is retiring, often has been the swing vote on the nine-member court on abortion, civil rights and other social issues.
Take out all them red parts, and you’ve got yourself an un-biased article. Thanks, al-Reuters!

EVEN SCHADENFREUDER UPDATE: It just keeps get better and better at Daily Kos. It’s gonna be a good night watching them melt down. There’s a tear in my eye! A tear! (Link from Schroman)

HONEST, LAST SCHADENFREUDE…TODAY….: WuzzaDem covers the AMERICAblog meltdown
The one-sidedness of Uncle Dean and Democrats connected with Jack Abramoff. Okay, not that he’s partisan, that’s to be expected, but that he downright lies about it. Right there! On TV!
Wanna know what Democrats did what and when? Oddly enough, another biased organization has all the “Abramoff Democrats” (and I was happy to see my beloved Mississippi Band Of Choctaw Indians, patron saints of purity and virtue).
Maybe it’s because I’m all ranted out, but I don’t see how this guy claims to be a leader of anything. And yes, Wuzzadem’s version is almost as honest. There’s nothing worse than listening this clown talking about defense.
I’m in a bad mood, and listening to this loser and how much he lies just takes out my objectivity. Sure, he’s a party man, and he’s trying desperately to make us think that what he’s saying is the truth. Problem: he’s lying. And does so with regularity. And never, ever, ever gets called on it.
Oh, sure, we’ve got the right side of the blogosphere, but I’m looking for a GOP response a little stronger than a link to the “Abramoff Democrats,” helpful as it is. Where are the investigations into this clown’s lies? Where is the hard-hitting investigative reports into what’s going on in the Democrat National Committee?
It’s mostly bad form to act as a petulant child when describing another person. I really don’t think he’s intentionally trying to deceive people out of a spirit of Pure Evil™, but they’ve drawn themselves into a corner, taking the opposite position on everything. And they do it without concern for how they look.
You may see them pics of Mother Sheehan smootching her snuggle-bumpkins somewhere else, but not here.
We are totally anti Ditch Witch™ ’round these parts. In fact, I so care so little about here as to not use the ‘B’ in Ditch Witch™. The only reason I use the ™ is because all you have to do is click Option+2 and BANG! you got a ™.
Wanna see her lovin’ up on “Huge-o” (what is with her and every minority that isn’t Jewish?), Smantix makes with the eye-stabbing at Six Meat Buffet.
ALSO: Ah, now I see what this was for. The honeymooners are goint to give the Democrat response to President Bush’s speech. Now it all makes sense.
My piece of shi’ite car died AGAIN, so I’m probably going to be scarce today while I take it back to the shop to get it fixed FOR REAL this time.
Piece of shi’ite. And Volvos are supposed to be reliable??? Whatthefarkever.
Just another farked Monday for me. Bah.
Ian at The Political Teen closed his friggin’ site! Jerk!
Well, not really, it’s just changed into Expose the Left.
Welcome to Expose the Left, a blog dedicated to exposing the liberal bias in the Main Stream Media. This blog will serve as a resource to see the most recent examples of bias with the use of video, audio, visuals, and various other methods of information.
Please take a look around and don’t forget to update your blogrolls with the new website address.
Finally, and really good name for a site.
(Oh, and I check the blog-roll….missing an M or two…ahem…)
Sorry, I just needed to get that out of my system. Some movie named “Crash” beat out “Brokeback Mountain” for some award I don’t really know anything about.
Just trying to post something before 8 gillion people read it at Ace of Spades HQ
