Continuing to shill for the war effort

In my continuing effort to shamelessly shill for the URWCCFDJMEDB Bush administration’s war effort, I now provide you with more tales of Stuff Not Going Horribly Wrong™, a Karl Rovian Plot Production ®. On tonight’s episode: positive economic news.
DefenseLINK News (it’s a .mil, so they’re extra biased) brings us Reconstruction Effort Changing Face of Iraq, a story dripping with one-sidedness.
Last year, the ambassador said, Iraq had a gross domestic product growth of 4 percent, and the country is poised for “double-digit growth” this year. “That sort of growth indicates to me that things are having an effect,” he said.
Reconstruction must be viewed in a larger context, Speckhard said. “It cannot be divorced from the economy, political progress or security,” he said.
For example, 30,000 new businesses registered with the government in the past year. “And who knows how many unregistered business starts there were?” he said. “There is a huge ‘gray market’ that brings significant revenue.”
The office has made more than 18,000 so-called “micro-loans” for Iraqis to start up businesses. No recipient has defaulted, the ambassador said.
The biased article goes on to describe how demand far out-paces supply in all sectors of growth. Water, electricity, sanitation and health projects are all far greater than during Saddam’s regime. Another country in which the swath of the Rovian Conspiracy™ has made it impossible for the little man. WHERE ARE THE DEMOCRATS TO BUILD THE COMMUNITIES?!?
As yet, President Bush has not said that he’s sorry, and made a mistake by helping the economy of Iraq.
