I DID IT!!! I went from about 900 messages in my inbox last night down to 123! And I didn’t just do a mass-delete! Now, of course, I’ve got 123 that require attention. UGH. If I owe you a response to something from a long time ago, sorry…I need to hire an email assistant or something. I have no idea how “big bloggers” handle this shi’ite.
You know what my new favorite pizza is? Domino’s Steak Lover’s Pizza. MMMMM. Damn, that shi’ite’s good. I know you don’t care, but I love it. Love it!
I also love this Greasemonkey script that previews all the posts I have in draft status (it’s for Wordpress). Very, very cool. Now if I could just use the damn Technorati script…stupid Firefox upgrades…grrrrr.
Speaking of Firefox upgrades, I am not the least bit impressed with Firefox 1.5. My suggestion to you is if you haven’t upgraded yet, don’t do it if you use as many extensions (and Greasemonkey scripts) as I do. There are way too many that don’t work with FFX 1.5 yet. Wait a while until the extensions and scripts get caught up. I’ve been in browser hell again for the last week because some of the things I came to depend upon don’t work any more. Pbbbt. Two thumbs down to the extension authors for not keeping the shi’ite up-to-date.
OK, that’s all. I just had to get that out there.

I’d like to inquire about the email assistant job. How much does it pay? What is the dress code? And when can I start? Thank you.

My major problem with FF 1.5 is how it breaks Flash. Every site with Flash I visit is now broken. Ditto for embedded Quicktime and Windows Media.

I’ve found even with the older versions of FF that is doesn’t always act “quite right” with HTML 4.01 compliant tags, etc. If it did I’d stick to it. Instead, when I do HTML updates I have to check them in FF, Opera, and IE, plus FF and Opera for Linux.
Please folks on the next upgrade, follow the standards.

If you’re upgrading from Firefox 1.0, heres a quick way to make all your Firefox extentions work.
1. At the location bar, enter: “about:config” (without quotes). This will show you a list of Firefox internal preferences.
2. Right-click on the list (Preference Name column), select New –> String
3. Enter “app.extensions.version” (without quotes) for the preference name.
4. Then, enter “1.0” (without quotes) as the value for app.extensions.version.
5. Restart Firefox 1.5, then enable those disabled Firefox extensions. To enable an extension, right click on each extension and select “Enable”.
6. Restart Firefox 1.5 again to active the extensions. Done.

NEVER update to a new release of any software as soon as it is available, and especially not before the holidays — though with FireFox, you really aren’t going to see much difference in the support.
