2005 Asshat Awards
Y’know, I’ve decided to let the Bad Blog Awards ride off into the sunset as a happy memory, a nice place for people to vent (you still can, if you care to). No formal stuff, it’s too much work and, besides, I don’t wanna piss off everyone. ;-)
That said, after the last two days, because I am too damned lazy to write anything of actual substance (and with the Weblog Awards going on, I really, really should), I’m starting up my own little awards thing–er, again. This one’s different.
There are a few real asshats running around shrieking about perceived unfairness (and other asinine complaints) with the 2005 Weblog Awards. I’ll start out with two nominations for:
No, you bastards may not nominate me. I will not accept this award. My awards, my rules. Don’t like it? Tough shi’ite. Start your own awards. Which brings me to the first nominee:
1) Ridor

I’m still waiting for your response regarding the discrimination towards Deaf bloggers. My blog has ranked No. 1 in the Deaf Community for the last two years, and I do not see anything that focused on a group from your so-called WEBLOG AWARDS.

The floor is yours! Nominate the biggest ingrates and whiners and WHY you’re nominating them. We’re not going to do a vote on it–it’s not really necessary, is it? I’ll pick the worst asshat (with some help), but your picks will be noted if they are worthy of the Golden Asshat.
(Some people might need to read the comment policy here, because I’ve had several drive-by anonytrolls crap in the comments lately. I won’t tolerate anyone crossing my line marking what’s acceptable here. Be human to each other in comments. It’s the f’n holiday season, dammit!)

Yeah, that guy is simply off his rockers. He was the first one I had to ban from my blogsite after warning him several times. He just couldn’t keep it clean. Heck, even I nominated myself for the weblog award but certainly am not going to use my hearing loss to gain favors or complain incessantly like a little boy for not getting nominated. A blog quality. The merit alone ought to be enough in having a good blog and get voted for……not about a person’s disability as the focus or reason for the award. Geez. He just want attention like some lost little sick puppy even though he’ll bite your fingers off.

Also, as a supplemental draft pick, Hundred Percenter, for a. his delinking idiocy, and his war with Jordon Golson (the Cheese & Crackers has committed blog suicide thing) While he was rather nice, cordial, and, unlike Lefty Surrender Monkey’s, literate, those 2 wars were idiotic.
Finally, (and I will take some shi’ite over this one), the Commissar and Paul from Wizbang for their blogwar. While I enjoy both their writing and blogs, that had to be one of the silliest and most boring blog wars ever.
